am I screwed....made four golden rings, but I don't have another nugget!

I can't believe that I used all 4 of my nuggets to make rings which may be totally useless unless I get another. But people have gone months without getting one. I think I made a bad decision to do this Christmas quest. Any advise?

Chop some rock outcroppings, collect from your mines as often as possible.

I have become very sour on this Christmas event. Waiting for some rare random event to happen so I can progress is stupid. I haven't seen 5 golden nuggets in over 2 months. TL bled it on this one. I wasted a ton of effort to get this far and now I'm stuck at 4 rings. Feel like putting this games down for a couple of months
