So what happens if we actually bought the Pile of Gifts in the market for 400 gems? Do we get 2? I really, really, really wish I had known not to buy one!

Considering the final outcome is a pile of gifts that won't work in three weeks, i'd consider saving the nuggets for another quest down the road, one that will actually give something useful, like the thanksgiving table.

I promise you aren't the only one - maybe we could do a big group intervention AFTER this quest is finished of course. I'm loving myself for putting in a second forge and kicking myself for not having enough GOLD. And I still can't stop trying to think of what the rest of the challenges will require. And am I the only one who's gone from being fully stocked w/wood to scrounging around to have barely enough??? Ok starting to ramble that's my cue to say Goodbye & Good Luck y'all!!!

I don't think we should have to use our rare gold nuggets to get something we can only collect from around ten times, especially since is says it may just be dropping 'building materials' which most of us have a lot of or can get easily all year long. The box of gifts should drop very good items for all the time and resources that goes into these two weeks.

The gold nugget drop rate needs to increase for this one!

I bought one before I knew that was what we earned at the end of the quest. It costs 100 gems to speed it up. So I won't be doing that. I'll let you know in 2 days what it drops. However, there might be someone willing to do it. I'm still so bummed. I don't really need two. Impulsive buy. Ugh.

WoW Every two days until Jan 5th? That's not a lot of drops. It certainly doesn't feel like a generous Christmas to me. And I've already invested 2 of my precious golden nuggets.... :(

Seriously, Team Lava...I'm a very patient player, I didn't complain about the months and months it took to finish the sister sister goal, or any of the other long goals. It's part of the attraction of the game. But the goals in a timed task need to be realistically achieveable for players at high levels. I've no problem spending 5 hours crafting an item... I have the patience, but I'd at least like to be able to CRAFT the darn things!
Considering the Halloween event used up all my gold nuggets and I've seen none since (maybe one ages ago that I used in the Royal exchange) in those 6 weeks, it's a poor decision of the designer of this task to create a timed item that requires 5 of the rare drops to be used in a week, when none have dropped in all that time since the last timed event that required those items.
I'm sure I'm not the only player in this position.... At level 50 remember...I'm not a newbie that short on resources.

I got the majority of my 80 nuggets from chopping rocks, like a crazy woman, for goals in the past that needed vast amounts of silver. I have got very few from sparkling/deep mines. It's obviously a rare drop, but you can get them from the exchange too (got a few when trying desparately for mithril for all those mithril-requiring goals!). Basically mine are all just a by-product of trying for other things, so it's actually nice to have a use for them! :)

If you can upgrade the mine without it completely draining your resources, I say go for it. It can only make every mineral related challenge easier. Also, it's absolutely not *****ing if you choose to skip missions; some times it's just strategically smart. No shaming on TL boards! :o

Heya! Upgrading your mines is super expensive....I would not reccomend it unless you have just a bunch of magic cement just wasting space in your inventory.....lol
For 35 gems you can try your luck w/ a dark cave formation...a possible nugget drop as mentioned above.

The last option is geming thru your goal book. Make as many as you can, press give, then gem the rest.
Wait until you get a sale to buy gems, even if it takes a few days....truly no hurry on this one, it doesn't seem worth it.


Overall I see the whole point of this...the sooner you get the gift mound or whatever it's called, the more 2 day drops you can click.(~10) I'll wait and see exactly what it drops before spending Any gems...it is a useless decoration in 3 weeks.

I'm really disappointed. As a low level player (19) I enjoyed the challenge of part 1 but it was all for nothing. I have only ever received 1 gold nugget, so it doesn't seem possible to start, never mind finish part 2. What a waste of all the time spent on part 1 :(

Me too! One wall alone faces out so you can see it the decoration...the minute you join multiple walls together they reverse and you can't see the decoration...almost seems like a coding error to me. Or decorations should have been on both sides of the wall? Disappointing though.

Re: gold nuggets, I have a number of glimmer rock formations from adventures, and they always seem to drop one or two nuggets when chopped.

Wow! This is really tough in a short time period, using.up 5 rare drops .... If.ya have them .... NGot 2 crafting, wish I hadn't done it. Lvl 22 with 1 library, no tavern built, justnot worth tbe gem skips for a temporary item that stops working in a couple of weeks. If lvl 15 plus.are eligible, make it reasonable ... Maybe tier it for different levels w... So disappointed.

theres an exchange unlocked by idk what, Jeweler's trade, 30 jewels, 40 water, 30 Glimmerdust I believe, it drops Golden Nuggets quite often as well as mithril and adamant

For those without enough gold nuggets, I'd use all of my energy to chop rock outcroppings (of course go to mines whenever they are available) until you get enough nuggets. I have plenty but I did get a couple in the last few days from rocks. You could choose to save any you have until you have all 5. I'm not going to say its easy but it'll at least give you a chance without wasting too many other resources.

But you have to be level 25, and I just turned level 23 today. I don't have enough gems for a dark cave formation, let alone skipping, and I only ever got three nuggets, one of which was used for Sir Pigglesworth (I still don't have the golden apple). I need to prepare to go on the "Prepare the Dark Caves" exploration to see if I can get anything, but I'm not holding out much hope. This is bull hockey.

I've done this trade a couple of times and never gotten gold. I'm trying it now. I only have two nuggets; not going to make rings until I have 5 in hand.

And I have to agree with a previous poster, really, more corn!!!! Not to mention chopping my poor trees again. I'm kinda losing motivation here. The bountiful table is great but this prize only lasts for a really short time. I'm not sure it's worth the resources.

I got a lot of my nuggets from the exchange too. Did you just chop regular rock formations or dark rock formations when you got other nuggets? I have a lot of regular rock formations but only 2 dark rock formations from quests. I kinda like to save them for when I am low on things like iron and silver and I'm full on both those right now and I don't want to waste it. I'm super paranoid about that haha

Anyone who bought the winter walls had problems witth Royal Points ?
Rather than going up I lost 300 RP instead of gaining them since each one counts for 3 while the Hydrangea/ Rainbow Hedges add only 1RP! And they don't show the decoration :(

As far as I am concerned I deleted reinstalled and the Holly Decoration on the walls are showing,
I love my winter walls :) And the winter gates are absolutely beautiful :D though a bit big but Hey they are GATES lol

I am loving this Christmas Part II, except I said it before it started in C. Event part I, TL shouldn't have asked for golden nuggets, players level 15 + will be struggling big time to aquire them :(
And I know many level 50 that will be struggling as well!

I did not notice I had the same problem until I read your post, My garlands were inexistent before lol, so I was happy to see they are making an appearance :)

It's Christmas for God's sake. Gold nuggets are so rare, it's plain cruel to claim those of younger players/gamers in the story line. Christmas is time of generosity and friendliness, and happiness. This claim just isn't a good fit for the spirit of these Holidays.

You would think I would have maxed out on golden items. NOT even close ! I feel bad for lower level players. Wouldn't even try to start some of these major quests bc I've seen so many unfinished things in my neighbors' kingdoms. So sad. BUT I'm still not sure if it's worth 5 golden nuggets for such a limited item. I guess I better decide right quick. Please offer input as to why it's worth it. Thanks.

As a fellow addict (I know, surprising), I want a reward and participate in everything. It's like using gems, they are a means to an end. If you have 5 nuggets, go for it! (I know this is a bit easier for me to say as I have over 80 nuggets. But I do play a lot every day and so the random drops are more frequent purely by the amount of time I spend in the game.)

It's not worth it. The reward is the pile of gifts which drops decor items or building materials every two days until beginning Jan. max maybe 8 collections.

During that time I don't think I've used a gold nugget once (and if I did it was for a goal and wasn't much in the grander scheme of things), but I only have around 25 gold nuggets in my inventory. Gold nuggets do drop, yes, but for the past few days it's been dropping LOTS more than it ever has---probably because of the questline and players actually needing gold nuggets for once.

Before this questline, I'd maybe get two or three gold nuggets per week from mines/rocks and a few from Sir Pigglesworth and adventures, but that's it. Mines/rocks don't drop nuggets very often per week even for an addicted player (like me). Perhaps that's just luck, and you have more than I do, but speaking from my experience, gold nuggets drop very, very rarely in my kingdom and so wanting to hoard what we DO have for something more worthwhile down the road (trade/quest/etc) is more advantageous. I think, on the whole, the reason people are so upset about the gold nugget issue is because it's really NOT worth it on this world event.

Had they made the pile of presents permanent and not only 'limited' until Jan. 5th then people would not be complaining so much about using their gold nuggets. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks so, but the Thanksgiving questline was much easier and has better long-term rewards than this one does. Last X-mas, as well, had rewards that had better long-term rewards and the fact that this one has such meager short-term rewards, well... yeah, slap in the face :\

Perhaps if the pile of presents reward still GAVE rewards every two days (like full-energy boosts like the Alicorn or drops of the rarer variety like nuggets, silver ore, wisp lanterns, etc.) then it would seem more worthwhile, but just getting (maybe) 8 total drops from it that are laughable at how uninspiring they are with maybe a few 'big drops' like manticore/trade tickets... well, I'm sure you can see how most people feel the Reindeer Stable and Kingdom Inn's year-long drops of wisps, ice cream, fur, etc. are so much more rewarding, yes?

Well, if we're adding our two cents... ITA, if you have them (more than 10) then use them. That's the whole point of the game, trying to accomplish the goals. For example, one of the other games we had to download to play had a timer and I didn't make the goal and didn't receive the gem prize. For some reason we've come to believe everyone has to succeed at every goal in this game. I haven't, was one stupid neighbor request away from upgrading my table and my timer ended earlier than I had estimated so I didn't get back in time to gem it. At first I was irritated at all the time resources used but eventually I got back all the supplies.

If you're on the fence and have the nuggets I'd say go for it. It's just a game and eventually all the supplies come back.

ETA: I've been maxed out on all gold items since the beginning of this year and started doing the trade with them. Seems to me and it might be just my imagination but the more I use stuff the more that stuff drops.

My personal opinion, even though I'm extremely disappointed that the prize expires, with the amount you have, is to go for it. It's not like you'll probably need 20 at a time at some point. Chances are you'll replace the gold nuggets you use long before you get too low on them.

Re the gold nuggets, they aren't real, you can't take them to the shop, if you are enjoying the game use them, but what are you saving them for? They always drop when you least expect it, I had five now I have none, I had some gems, now I have none. I can click away to my hearts content no gem traps but alas no partridge either.

My couple this week came from the sparkling mine. I never chop rocks, as I'm always maxed, and I never do the exchange either as I'm maxed on mithril and have bucket loads of adamant.

I love we all get to share our 2 cents worth... We've probably confused poor 29vanilla who asked for some advice since we are all a bit divided! That's half the fun of the forum! What works for one, doesn't for another. I too am a bit sad the reward isn't permanent, but remember we only got decorations from the faerie event.

My take on transberry's post is that is actually in 2 parts. The first sentence is about nuggets. The second sentence is about the rest of the event goals being achievable as some of the collections are from animals.

I am very happy with the Thanksgiving Table. I was just really hoping for something similar to past Xmas items. So a bit disappointed in that. I know the "luck" of the game is just that. Luck. I have 2 accts got 4 golden apples from magic fruit tree on one acct and zero so far on the other. So wishing all of you extra luck for awesome drops on this event. I got my calling birds from red acers but I have chopped down enough trees to cause climate change but I can't find the partridge, are you sure it was the partridge you found?

Actually, I have gotten at least one gold nugget from Sir Pigglesworth, but he's not a normal animal.

As some of you may recall, I mentioned in the Part 1 thread that I was worried we would need to use gold nuggets for the rings, and I had only recently gotten up to 8 nuggets. Well, by the time Part 2 started, I had 10 nuggets. I don't usually get 2 nuggets in less than a week, but that may just be the luck of the draw.

In my game, it's Market > Nature > Other, and is the third thing listed, "Rock Outcropping."
I think they mashed the names of a few different piles of rocks, but this is what they probably mean.

Cheers for the insight, build 2 new taverns ready for that part, will get all my flowers out of storage, and hope I have enough trees for all the chopping, at least can make some more builders paste from the wood.

As MOST people are saying, what else are you going to use the nuggets for, except the golden obelisk, and that is a waste of resources. But to reiterate what so many have said, the idea of this game is to complete the goals, so to do that you may have to use your precious resources, but they soon come flooding in. Right back near the start I needed red petals and so bought 1 Red trillium flower, I collect from in all the time and make the red dyes as often as I can, 6 months on and after usinf loads of these for goals and the 'special' quests, I still have 80 dyes and 80 petals. The resources will come back to you after you use them - be patient.

I am now concentrating on getting the 99 of everything in the potion lab and the workshops. So will not have to worry about quests etc, I only get buildings I do not have when I see what we need, ie Taverns above, I also bought 10 new ponds for the first part of this, then stored them.

We were all at a low level once (I have been there twice since the game crashed and would not load up after the iOS7 update some time back), just carry on and you will find it no problem.

I got them from chopping Red and Yellow Acer, Oak, Crabapple and Aspen. It took about 25 chops to get the first one, it seemed like crabapple dropped most.

Hey guys! I don't have trees, so I need to buy some. I can't buy fruit trees as I have not enough gems for it, I'm new to this story (lvl.20). Before, i was only buying willows, since it cheap, 300 coins only, and have 10 chops.
Also, read in forum that dead tree is good since we don't need to tend it. So I bought them too, when oversapped like right now...

So I wanna ask smth maybe stupid...

I have a feeling that DEAD TREES won't give me birds and patriges.

Am I right or this quest have not so strict logic connections? :)

Did anyone got any from dead trees? Or sd I buy other plants?

FYI, for the turtle doves, I tended fields of all the different types of flowers. My 2 turtle doves both came from the Iceland poppy patch. Not sure if it was merely chance, or if that's the only flower that drops the turtle dove...

Make sure you have the latest version of the game. If nothing else works, uninstall and reinstall. You shouldn't lose any progress in the game.

First, thanks to TL for this amazing quest. It is true that golden nuggets are hard to get, but no one said it would be an easy one.

Now, could anyone please be more precise with the end of drops from the Pile of Gifts?? Will it end at noon 5th Jan PSTime, at 0:00 5th Jan PSTime or whatever?

Since drops will come each 48h, it is very important to know it so me (and many others for sure) do not loose that final drop and can organize better our bed times...

I am a little torn on this one. Some people seem to get gold nuggets far easier than I do. I am level 37 and barely have 6 gold nuggets and I have only done the exchange once. Meaning all the gold nuggets I have ever received until now have been used in quests and left me with only 6 gold nuggets after 37 levels. Its easy for people with 20 plus nuggets to say "Just use them what else are you going to do with them", but those of us who apparently rarely get gold nuggets its not that easy, especially after seeing the thanksgiving event and needing nuggets for that as well. I was busy during thanksgiving and didnt make it to the gold nugget portion, so the 6 I have I only have because I didnt use them then. So that leaves me with this dilemna, what in the future would I need these nuggets for that would be worth more than this pile that I will only get a handful of drops from?

If another timed quest comes along where I need nuggets I am screwed, so now I am left wondering, should I use these gold nuggets here and get the pile of gifts, or hold onto them for later where something more valuable may be available.

If you have lots of extra nuggets I agree, go for it because you have a big buffer in case something else comes up. But for those of us with few nuggets that almost never drop, we have to pick and choose what to use them on.

I wont say the first half of the quest was a 'waste' because it wasn't. Each piece got us a gem and we didnt give up anything valuable. But whether or not I will do the second half of the quest, thats where I am torn.

after that go to the appstore and install the game again.
(to stop the wiggling you have to press the 'homebutton' )

on android go to the overview of your installed apps and drag the icon to the deletepart on top of your screen i believe, and install again from playstore

Gold nuggets are really rare for me. I am in awe of players with supplies. It takes me a month or so to get 3 and then I trade them for gems. I had 3, made 2 rings but waiting on last 3 to see if more nuggets appear. Rock formations just give me boars. Haha

The trick is not to trade them. I never trade them and I'm almost always maxed on the nuggets and golden eggs. It's the golden apples that are super rare for me. I've (only) got 39. I never do that trade because I want to build my apples up to a much higher number. The 5 gem return is not worth it for me to lose those.

That said, the prize (which I won't get) seems fine to me. They can't all be as awesome as the bountiful table or awesome caldron. Those two have been a big help. In fact, I would say over generous in the case of the table.

Everyone has their own strategy. I do lots of trades to prevent from being maxed on most items. A lot of "older" players have minimum amounts that they set for themselves. For instance, I don't like to see anything below 75. When an item gets to 90, if I can use it in a craft or trade, I'll use it. We save so when these tasks come along we can easily complete them quickly.

That being said, I'm happy to use the items during these quests. In fact, I'm happily making extra golden rings. They are so "precious" -- sorry...couldn't help myself there. I'm a bit surprised no one else has made that joke. :)

Yes, I, for example, (a long time and high level player) tend to use those quest/events to off load my inventory and have some extra challenge. I am crafting, when possible, extra items (at least 1), for my personal Hall of Trophies.

I generally don't make trades unless I have twice the number of items needed for the trade. Even so, I might be in trouble with the golden rings if I didn't happen to be trying to get 10 nuggets for The Perfect Gift goal. I have no problem using some of my few nuggets. As someone else said, the purpose of the game is complete goals, and I like doing the timed ones, and not just for the reward at the end. No, my dilemma is whether or not to make an extra ring, because I'm one of those people that likes to keep the special items in my inventory even after the event is over.

BTW, I got another gold nugget last night. 3 in one week? I'm beginning to think they must have actually upped the drop rate.

Sounds like I need to go dig some rock formations, since I'm looking for boars so they can give me those rare feral magics that I also need.

It's always dropped 2 for me either 2 of the same item or 2 of different items. The only time it hasn't is if I'm maxed on an item, currently my only maxed item is purple dye.

I've only been playing for about 6 months (level 36) and luckily I had enough gold nuggets to make the rings ... but have to say that I haven't gotten a gold nugget in weeks and still none at all since the Christmas event started :( I don't use them for trades, but figure if I have them, might as well use them now! I'm a little disappointed that the end reward for this is only temporary, but I still love this game and will follow through just because I enjoy it :)

I'm at the Lovey-Dovey goal now, and I must say, it's all very energy-consuming. It took me atleast 70-80 chops to find the 4 Calling Birds, atleast 20-30 visits to the chickens to get my 4 French Hens, and now I'v tended to my flowers atleast 40 times - and still not even 1 Turtle Dove.

I thougth this would be a relatively easy goal, for I have 3 Library's, 45 golden nuggets and lots of other stuff (the hearty stew is already waiting in my kitchen), but with this drop-rate, it's gonna be hellish.

Please, TL, do something at the droprate? It's nothing I can do about, but play atleast once every 2 hours, which I try to do, but I would really feel dissapointed if I can't get the goal due to droprates of something I can't forsee, like the golden nuggets.

I don't really mind the Pile is just temporary, it's reaching the goal that gives me the satisfaction. I don't mind that it takes time, that it takes resources, not even mad about the golden nuggets: it's not usefull for anything else, and even for gems I don't need it, tho I only once bought gems, the game gives me more than enough to get me all I want. I don't need the gifts, I just want to be able to complete the quest!

I am on level 38, but I don't have got a single nugget yet, I don't have enough gems to finish this golden ring step and there is no special offer for buying gems ... It would be better if only items we can craft were used in goals .... gold nuggets are such rare drops.

Enjoying this event much more than past CS events as I finally have enough items stockpiled. Just started collecting winter birdseed (got 2 drops out of about 10-12 corn plants). No turtledoves after clicking on about 12 flowers. I suspect this one will take several energy recharges. I was able to craft a magic fruit trade to get more energy later on. Glad I got some trees planted and grown before getting to this point. I'm still short one tavern but only need a couple of more pieces to build.

The final goal says to prepare a hearty feast, so make sure you have the ingredients ready to go before getting to that step.

deep mines are not available at level 18 .... you must be level 22 at least to get those

my second game is at level 18 too, only have three golden nuggets so far, so i will skip part 2.. such a shame for all the hard work of part 1 .. no reward whatsoever...

Collect from your checkens, then go to the goal & tap give. I do that after each collection since I can't see if some dropped or not.

I have another castle (on another device) on level 23 or so, with just one mine (level 2) - in this game I have already 4 golden nuggets, so I think it is just a matter of luck (or rather bad luck :( ). I will try to get the missing mines, though 4 days is a rather short time frame.

I have a feeling it is not about what tree drops this or that or how many chickens one got.
I think this whole thing is coded to drop things after a certain number of collection, chopping trees, watering flowers, and so forth...In short Each goals seems to require a certain amount of energy!

Reading this thread, each player got what s/he needed from a different tree, but all went through tons of energy to get it, whether it be on the chickens, the doves, etc...

The partridge is so elusive, now am dreading searching for it!

If you look closely, it is the energy.spent..to get the items they needed, regardless of what they did or what tree they used, after a certain amount of energy was spent they got the item required!
Just my own observation, I might be totally wrong!

Yep it is not a random drop as I see it, there's a certain amount of energy we need to give to get what we are looking for!

Waiting for second batch of 31 corns to be ready, will edit and give info once I am through with it hoping I don't need a third!

I generally don't make trades unless I have twice the number of items needed for the trade. Even so, I might be in trouble with the golden rings if I didn't happen to be trying to get 10 nuggets for The Perfect Gift goal. I have no problem using some of my few nuggets. As someone else said, the purpose of the game is complete goals, and I like doing the timed ones, and not just for the reward at the end. No, my dilemma is whether or not to make an extra ring, because I'm one of those people that likes to keep the special items in my inventory even after the event is over.

BTW, I got another gold nugget last night. 3 in one week? I'm beginning to think they must have actually upped the drop rate.

Sounds like I need to go dig some rock formations, since I'm looking for boars so they can give me those rare feral magics that I also need.

A little OT, but has anyone else notices that the cauldron recently started dropping two items on each collection?

Finally got a 4th nugget (had three in inventory) am going to break more rocks while I wait to see if the trade w/Belladonna for "baubles" includes another nugget. B/c (don't tell anyone) but I have absolutely no memory of where the nuggets came from. I was too focused on getting the 10 golden eggs to make that ridiculous omelette for the Baron. And seriously where is all the wood supposed to come from?

I'm sorry, I may be the only one who feels this way. It's just that this Quest feels really, really rushed to me making it MUCH less FUN. Yes we should have to work for everything, they are challengesbut we should also enjoy doing it all. We should be looking forward to the goals the others have met and we haven't gotten to yet but I kinda can't and can explain why in 3 words: TREES and CORN.

Any kind of tree except the dead trees. I got mine mostly from red acers, Yellow acer gave me one, some said Crab apple also gave them a decent result, The oak gave me nothing. Hope this helps :)

Since I lost the extra french hen I decided not to get extras of the turtle doves either, as they were a pain to get. At least 60 energy spent chasing those and now another 60 in search of the partridge that I can't find.

Got it on my main account on 4th hit from fruit tree but no luck on my other account. Must have used up about 40 energy so far. Aargh.

....and just blew another 20. Off to bed and hope I have better luck in the morning.

Now all of my alicorns are sweating and nealy driven to the brink lol. Used 4 just today! Besides the wizzard schools and the Royal trade for energy. All in one day!

The dreaded Partridge is hiding in the trees, I tried the fruit trees, nothing until now.
Waiting for my energy to recharge....

Same here, nothing my first pass through 20 fruit trees and a bunch of chopped trees, got it on the second pass through the fruit trees. Weirdly two partridges seem to have fallen out of one (apple) tree. Making hearty feast now.

I had my third extra turtle dove...then it glitched......i had even pressed give for the 2.....(all Icelandic poppies)
I'm at a pure stand still......my whole kingdom has bouncing arrows while all energy is going towards getting the extra turtle and seeds from corn.

It's been over 60 taps on flowers since the glitch...uggg not even one dove!
And over 40 on corn and still only have 8 seeds
Except in the mornings, I have never seen so many bags bouncing and arrows jumping up and down.

Yep as QZ said. I got 3 quite easily. This is not an energy quest drain as others have suggested, it's all on luck. I've had my requirements arrive relatively easy, it's getting the spare that alludes me. In my instance now, I've gotten the partridge after 4 clicks on fruit trees. I decided to bust open one of the 50 energy crates have had buried at the back of the storage shed and , not a thing from that 50. I could start sitting down for a root beer at the tavern right now, but have decided to wait until it is beer'o'clock in AUS time and if I cannot find that 2nd partridge by then - I'm off. Cheers and bottoms up all.

Looking for my partridge. 20 fruit trees and an acer tree cut down and no partridge. Today alone, I've gone through a Gonder of Alicorns, two wizard schools, twice and a bunch of energy potion things! Feels good to have so much to do!

Can't wait for next week's update.

UPDATE: 20 fruit trees 4 acers chopped and collect from all other trees and no partridge. Very elusive bird.

UPDATE: found the partridge. 2 rounds of 20 fruit trees plus the 4 acers. Now trying to decide if I should turn it in or wait another day and try to get a second to keep. Decisions decisions.

Didn't keep track but pretty sure it took me over 80 flowers to get the turtle dove plus another 30+ for the spare.

I got lucky - I have 6 fruit trees and was able to get my partridge on my second round of clicks. Before that I think I chopped down About2 trees, maybe 25chops and 12 clicks on the trees.
I'll have one delay though since. I didn't get the third taven built.

I have one extra of the partridge, calling bird, and Hen Francais. My favorite is Genevieve. She's one stylish chick - ready for a night out on the Champs Elysees.

After 2 collections of my 19 fruit tress & numerous trees chopped down, even one of my beautiful pines, no *#%??%^ partridge. If that's the #of collections required from fruit trees, I'll hopefully get that elusive bird tomorrow.

I like having quests that are challenging, but I hate when they are timed! I used all of my gold for other quests. I've been clearing rocks for the past few hours but have yet to get one gold nugget.
Quests like this (and having to get neighbors help in a short time) made me give up the game for a while, but really make me think about giving it up for good.
