My Pegasus Dragon has vanished.

My Pegasus dragon is nowhere to be found. I evolved him to level 7 and when I went to feed him yesterday he was gone. The game has been crashing a lot but I have never lost a dragon before. Is there anyway to get it back? Very frustrating :(
