Farm story valentines day and regular farm story

I downloaded FSV and I stll have regular FS. The 2 don't match up. In FSV I can send messages but if I try in FS, I can't. Neighbors say they cant send gifts but the show up in FS but not FSV. Water drops by neighbors only show up in FSV but not FS. w which one am I supposed to use as neither allow all the functions. It is frustrating not knowing if what you do on FS will even show up on your score and neighbors games.

I ended up deleting FS Valentine and keeping my original Farm Story.

I have a feeling that with Summer and Snap, features will be moved over to FS original and now I've done the tasks FS Valentine doesn't interest me.
