Have parts in inventory but they are not being used to build appliances

I am trying to build a drink machine, I have all the sheet metal and blue nozzle and the build screen says completed for those items. The build screen states I have 8/10 gears and 4/10 screws necessary to complete the build. Under my gifts, I have 4 screws and 8 gears in inventory. Why won't it use these parts to further the build of the drink machine?

I was just able to build the new Thankful Oven, which uses some of the same parts and it STOLE the parts from my partially built Drink Machine... UUUGGGHHHH!!!!!!!

Sorry for the confusion! The manage button for your appliances is not actually taking any of your parts until you press build. If you have 8 gears in your inventory, the manage dialog will say 8/10. Glad you were able to build the new oven. Hope this helps!
