Hear ye! Hear ye! Official call to order of the ⚔Thuakie Sword Society⚔ (⚔TSS⚔)!
A place for us to meet & gab!

⚔TSS⚔ Induction Ceremony in Knights' Hall. After-party hosted by Mr. Purple G!

*AFTER* a new Thuakian receives a sword/weapon, s/he is asked to take the Pledge, in order to become an inducted member of ⚔TSS⚔.

PLEDGE
1. Do you (as 1 who signed up) accept membership into the ⚔TSS⚔ & agree to participate in its functions when possible?
2. Do you agree to treat your unique Thuakie sword (&/or other Thuakie weapon) with respect & follow the Tao of Teotwawki & Teotu?
3. Do you pledge to attend meetings whenever possible, support the club & its members, further its interests & contribute your share?

All Thuakians who agree to above & respond "I do", "I will" or its equivalent (here &/or on my wall in-game) will become an INDUCTED ⚔TSS⚔ member & receive the official pin.

First order of business ...
As part of your pledge into the ⚔TSS⚔, you are asked to follow the Tao of Teotwawki & Teotu.
So, what is that, you may ask? The last two words are acronyms -
TEOTWAWKI (pronounced Tay-oh-twa-ki): The End Of The World As We Know It

The TAO of T&T are adjusted survivalist Zen concepts which have been adopted by the ⚔TSS⚔ and is also known as the Thuakian Constitition (lol) as outlined below:

TAO OF TEOTWAWKI & TEOTU
⚔TSS⚔ By-Laws which may undergo revisions &/or additions, by me or Thuakians' suggestions.

1. Thuakians unite! ... Always be ready to defend a fellow member in distress or need. Have each other's backs! No Thuakian-on-Thuakian backstabbing allowed.
2. Show pride! ... Display, respect, and guard your Thuakie Sword/Weapon with your life! (i.e., please keep the presentation of your weapon from me on your wall, if possible ...and/or, as some have chosen to do: part of your forum signature)
3. Practice! ... Your sword/weapon is heavy, lol; learn to use it correctly. Classes may be available from time to time. (ollie's job)
4. Be like Yoda! ... Learn the language & terminology of Thuan and engage in Jedi mind tricks & mentality whenever suitable.
5. Be non-secretly secretive! ... Only use the Thuakian symbol (⚔) & secret handshake with other inducted Thuakians.
6. Be prepared! ... Stay stocked up on basics & supplies, for the inevitable quest or goal that will ask for everything in your storage cellar & then some.
7. Be a mentor! ... Share goal/quest survival tips, tricks & info with anyone in need, Thuakians and Non-Thuakians alike, either in-game or on the forum.
8. Inform! ... If you bug out (leave the game) for any extended period of time, try to leave behind a sign (post a note on your or others' walls). When you disappear with no warning, we will only assume you were abducted by aliens. Search parties may or may not be dispatched for your safe return.
9. Party! ... Frivolity is always welcome & hosting your own wall party is strongly encouraged. Any holiday, occasion or theme is acceptable.
10. Keep perspective! ... Have fun & don't sweat the small stuff. This is, after all, just a game -- and we are, after all, just a non-secret secret society club of CS addicts wielding emoji ASCII-art swords & weapons, lol.
Sept '16 Additions:
11. Respond to the call of your Captain! ... If no response is made (here or in-game) after several important TSS announcements are made on your game wall, you may be denoted in our Roster as Inactive.
(An Example: Although Officers are designated solely by the Grand Poobah, new Round Table Openings are put to a Society vote and need your input! See #3 of The Pledge.)
12. Call on your Captain whenever needed! ... Anyone can always send me a Private Message here on the forum, but it has its limitations & I may not see it in a timely manner.
So, I have a level 1 kingdom that I recently made available as a place to have a more *real time* private 1-on-1 chat with me & this is how it works:
If I need a private chat with you, I'll write "1-on-1 @ level 1" or something similar in code on your wall as a heads up to be on the lookout for an invite from my level 1 kingdom named "oceanside". If you need a private chat with me, let me know on *my* wall and then I'll generate an invite for you from oceanside. Once our private chat there has ended, I'll clear that wall & delete you from oceanside's neighbor list, so it can remain a private place for chatting 1-on-1 with others. Our main kingdom walls are too public & popular to discuss some private matters, so there is now another option to PM: Private Chat at oceanside.
April '18 Additions:
13. Be neighborly! ... Even with those who aren't your in-game neighbors.
All active Thuakians are a part of the TSS Welcoming Committee, with the responsibility to welcome any new member(s) into our Society and to congratulate any existing Thuakians for any feats, including the adoption of new TSS titles. When notified, post a message in this thread &/or visit the new or honored Thuakian's kingdom and extend a secret handshake, sword salute, or other demonstration of welcome & acknowledgement. Thuakians recognize fellow Thuakians for their TSS induction as well as awards & accomplishments, whether TSS-related or not.
14. Have Fun! Give FUn! ... There's fun and then there's FUn. Incorporate both when needed.

->Round Table members are listed in order of signing up for a Thuakie Sword, which then also became each member's engraved sword number, Thuakie number & Round Table seat number.
->Banquet Table-only members are listed in order of their recruitment by the Grand Poobah & have no Thuakie number.
->Upcoming Kiddie Table squire prospects & recruits will be listed in order of Thuakian sponsorship.

All Thuakian profiles are prefaced with any/all applicable symbols & then set to list each member by Thuakie sword name/number. Gender peerage title (Banquet Table currently assigned Lord/Lady, Round Tables assigned Sir/Dame, Kiddie Table assignment TBD), kingdom name (in the member's bold Table color) with any additional weapon(s) ~ any Award(s) &/or Title(s) whether Royally Decreed TA-TA or otherwise (Award/Title Dates) {Storm8 ID, Birthday, Zodiac, Fave Color} Location (QR in that member's Table color which links to their Game Play Quiz Results post)

TITLE SYMBOLS
⚔️ pin denotes pledged members who have been inducted (in-game).
+ = "Add me" members who want to be neighbors with all Thuakians.
TT, kingdom name & Appointed Title (Date) marks the Round Table members who are also a "TA-TA" & have an additional seat at the Banquet Table.
s = "squire" & denotes Thuakians who are sponsoring a Prospect or Recruit Squire seated at the Kiddie Table. (Only exception: Poobah's Sunny Squire)
ss = "2 squires" & denotes Thuakians who have two T.I.T.S (the limit) seated at the Kiddie Table.
P = A "Prospect" Squire who 'courted' & requested a Thuakian neighbor to be his/her TSS sponsor.
R = A "Recruit" Squire who was approached & offered a TSS sponsorship by one of his/her Thuakian neighbors.

ACTIVITY LEVEL SYMBOLS
* = A Star Thuakian who is more active in TSS and, at the time of Roster updating, is recorded as participating in over half (6-9) of the last 10 (+bonus) TSS business & events.
** = A Star Thuakian who is most active in TSS & recorded as participating in ALL of the last 10 (+bonus) TSS business & events.

MIA = "Missing in Action" members who do not participate or even respond to TSS, yet are still actively playing Castle Story.
I = "Inactive" Thuakians who are not active in TSS because they have completely left & are no longer playing Castle Story.

Q: What is a Thuakie Sword? (What's the story behind it/How did the Thuakie Sword Society originate?)
A: The Thuakie Sword first made its appearance back near the end of September '14, during the wedding reception in my queendom for Cupperbutt (fire faerie) & Mr. Purple G (purple anniversary golem). A random level 5 Castle Story player crashed the party and left the following message on my wall, "I have a Thuakie sword. Want me to drop it and say bye bye?" Nobody knew (nor still knows, lol) exactly what a Thuakie sword is. From Star Trek? A Ginsu knife wannabe? Something made up? Most likely (& possibly named as simply as Thuakian #69 Dudezville noted, "I've always assumed it is pronounced like thwack - since you know... That's what you do with it.")
Whatever a Thuakie sword *actually* is, I had it and many wanted it. So much so, that after it survived the Great Flood named Ollie, a small mob snuck into my queendom in the dead of night, STOLE it (you know who you are!) and then hid it on an unattended queendom's wall (where I or anyone couldn't retrieve it).
Fast forward a few weeks ... The unattended queendom saw a return of its ruler, who surprised all when she refused to return my Thuakie sword & chose instead to use it as a bread knife!
(The sacrilege! lol)
Binkyland then travelled to Thuan, spent weeks of abject humility serving the Great Thuan, received a Thuakie Sword forged by the Great Thuan in the Great Fires of Thuandoon, returned and gave it to me.
THEN finally in late Oct '14, I was able to fire up my forges to make Thuakie Swords from the original for the masses, lol. The Thuakie Sword Society was formed quickly thereafter. Each member now has a unique sword &/or other weapon, forged to match his/her personality (& fave color lol).
Sidenote: Members of that thieving mob as well as the ruler of that unattended queendom are all now Thuakians. They only succeeded in delaying the inevitable -- the formation of my very own personal ARMY! Muwahahaha! *wink*
Aug '15 - Visitors may notice a badly damaged Original Thuakie Sword now hanging on my wall. That's because ollie came along in the dead of the night and knocked it off my wall ON PURPOSE! After I wouldn't speak to him for several days, he finally hung his head in shame, gave me some flowers, picked it up and hung it back on my wall. The turkey!
Dec '15 - ollie also presented me with a symbolic greeting that we've used a lot with one another over the years & FINALLY became a new addition to the emoji keyboard ...a special middle finger, tattoo'd #00001. lol

Q: Can I get a recap of the saga between Cupperbutt & Mr. Purple G?
A: Sure! (Best I can remember it, lol)...
Early Aug '14 - The Fire Faerie {*credit for naming her Cupperbutt goes to Thuakian #2, Natalien} makes her appearance during the Midsummer Pyre Festival community event.
Late Aug '14 - Mr. Purple Golem makes his first appearance during CS's 2nd Anniversary Tournament, fighting colored beasts at the Jousting Arena.
Late Sept '14 - After weeks of flirting with a captive Mr. Purple G, a grand wedding ceremony takes place as Cupperbutt marries her amore. A festive reception follows, where the Thuakie Sword makes its appearance.
*Roving Reporter & Thuakian #9, ollie visits and sees my entire kingdom flooded. The reception is destroyed. Search parties are dispatched to search for the missing Cupperbutt, to no avail.
Throughout Oct '14 - TSS Round Tables 1-3 are formed, to aid in the search.
Nov '14 - A mysterious box is discovered by a search party but it doesn't contain Cupperbutt. She is found & returned, by a badly injured Mr. Purple G! She had been kidnapped by a mob of rabid skunkupines. Mr Purple G dies from his wounds, murdered by the mob, trying to rescue her.
*A funeral is held for Mr. Purple G. Cupperbutt enters a deep state of mourning for months... And eventually opens an orphanage nursery for all of the baby animals in my kingdom, since she & Mr. Purple G had no babies of their own.
July & Sept '15 - With Monster Hunt Seasons 1 & 2, the ghost of Mr. Purple G randomly appeared and then disappeared before Cupperbutt had a chance to communicate with him.
Nov '15 - Another Monster Hunt & the ghost of Mr. Purple G appeared again. Ivy quickly arranged a seance at the Fortune Teller's Tent, so Cupperbutt could try to talk to him but attracted & gave life to a horde of zombie horses instead, lol. There was no communication with Mr. Purple G.
Jan & April '16 - There were more random, fleeting sitings of Mr. Purple G's ghost during Monster Hunt Seasons 4 & 5 but no communication.
Aug '16 - Fiery Mystery Boxes are left on everyone's doorstep, making it possible to summon 1 of Cupperbutt's many clones that can be seen across the CS land. My kingdom is now home to 2 Cupperbutts.
Sept '16 - Monster Hunt Season 6 returns the ghost of Mr. Purple G (yes, technically now a polygamist, lol), who finally speaks to his 2 love-twins: "TSS's 2nd anniversary nears. It's time for some more new members. Especially men! (Altho I won't turn away more estrogen.)" lol
With that (& a society vote), the 4th round table is opened for sign-ups.
Aug '17 - Ivy discovers a new spell for eternal youthful cuteness & presents Cupperbutt with a new magical Nursery, giving Cupperbutt endless babies to adopt & raise.
Coincidentally, the Baron also discovers the power to clone Cupperbutt and makes her available in his tent... Even more Cupperbutts appear across the CS lands!
*NEW* Jan '18 - Monster Hunt Season 11... Ivy was able to take some of Mr. Purple G's special & potent glimminal fluid (glimmen) that Cupperbutt had secretly stashed away & frozen, mix it with some other secret & unknown magical glimmer bits in her Nursery's cauldron and...
Bang! Voila!! ... BABY MR. PURPLE Gs!!! (So whoooooo is the Mama, hmm??!)
Thuakian #68 Katt sent a DNA sample to ancestry.com for a full family lineage makeup.
March '18 - The Baron intercepted Katt's mail & demanded 100 Gold Runes to return it, so we wait....

A: No. People from Thuan (Thuanians) do not delineate based on sex, in that manner. Therefore, all carriers of a Thuakie Sword & members of the Society are simply called Thuakians.

A: You forfeit your TSS standing and you die! LOL, just kidding.
The first 2 who let that happen were awarded The REAL Putz Award trophies, lol.

A: Ohhh, now THAT is privileged information not to be posted here and will only be revealed on the walls of inducted Thuakians.

A: Thuakie Swords are only for my Castle Story neighbors, initially those who followed the Cupperbutt/Mr. Purple G saga story. Sword requests were accepted in-game on 3 separate occasions - hence, the 3 "round tables" (spanning an entire month+) and was finally closed after 50 neighbors signed up to get one. A 51st & 52nd were personally added. A fourth round table was put to a Society vote & passed, with its opening for sign-ups in Sept '16, bringing us to 80 total members.
The 81st member was personally added in April '18.

Q: Who is in the Thuakie Sword Society?

A: With the July 16, 2015 update "Monster Raid", TL introduced us to 4 new tokens: Sword, Shield, Staff, and golden Troll. With no request, notice or recompense, TeamLava/Storm8 STOLE our Thuakie symbol for use on their sword token! *shocked horror! lol*
Then, on July 17, TL changed our in-game gifting options. They removed water, fur, iron, jewels, and silver and replaced them with wooden beam, stone block, living wood, Shield Token and Sword Token. As Grand Poobah, I reclaimed (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?83280-New-Gift-List&p=1144658&viewfull=1#post1144658) this "token" as our own, lol. Let it be known across the lands that it is no longer a simple sword token, but an EXTREMELY valuable Thuakie Coin!

Q: How is the Thuakie Coin spent?
A: It can be redeemed in the trolls' Trade Wagon, given or received as a daily gift in the game (only for a limited time, during the duration of that Monster Mash event, which ended July 27, '15) but can also be forever used as "virtual money" for other goods, services &/or reasons elsewhere (game walls, forum posts, PMs, etc.) The coin image above is also free to all Thuakians to save/download/use.

Q: When people leave the game, do we move up in the ranks?
A: No ... With one pseudo-exception, maybe.
Your member/sword number is always your number, regardless if you leave the game or not. In the event inactive members return, their number is still there for them.
Pseudo-Exception: A member may randomly be knighted up to an Officer position by me, but it won't change their member/sword number. That type of "move up in the ranks" is solely determined by Royal Decree (aka: my whims, lol), and not by the frequency, timing or amount of members who leave the game.

Q: Do we need a kimono?
A: LOL! I sometimes wear a kimono-like dragon robe with my wooden geisha flip-flops, especially on occasions when I'm having Japanese (or even Chinese) food for dinner lol, but Thuakians can wear any kimono, robe or other special garb of their choosing whenever they like. If a tailor, seamstress or costumer joins our ranks some day, maybe s/he will design us something "official" to wear for special events. Until then, wear what you like ...or nothing at all. Makes no diff to me. LOL

I had the same problem, and don't know what causes it. All I did was edit my signature and recreate by inputting it, instead of copy/paste, and (so far) it's holding like everyone else's. I think. Lol!

PooBah - reporting a theft! I was on vacation for about a week & had very limited play. When I went to my wall today for the first time in a while to catch up on my neighbor visits, I find all posts pertaining to the Thuakie Sword Society are gone! That includes my welcome to the Society, my original one-of-a-kind Thuakie Sword, my induction into the Society, my congratulations post with my pin attached, & last but not least, my official non secret handshake!! No one else has access to my game (like a family member) so I don't know what to make of this. Curious if anyone else had this happen to them. I've seen posts on other walls older than mine, so think it's very strange that ALL of them disappeared!

INVITATION

Dear TSS members,

I'd like to invite you all to join me in celebrating my one year anniversary playing CS. The party will take place Sunday, 11/30.

There will be a short reception at the cathedral at 3 pm (CET= PST +9), where Old Thomas will bless all people, animals an buildings in my kingdom. Followed by an informal gettogether afterwards. Little food thingies will be served at the Harvest Pergola.

At 4 pm the different contests at the Jousting Arena an the Amphietheatre will beginn. Be sure to join. Is there a better way to display your Thuakie sword and your s****s wielding it?

In the evening (after 7 pm) you're all welcome to a formal dinner at the Bountiful Table. Please make sure you wear a proper evening attire to this occasion. No loose bras or panties are allowed !

After eating all those feasts the party will continue the whole night. Food and drinks at the Table and the Pergola.

As most of you aren't my neighbors, I'll leave a post at NW's wall (if that's ok with you, NW?) so you can find your way to my kingdom from there.

You guys are the most experienced players and posters, so I'd like to ask you to help me with something...

The amount of duplicated threads is increasing and it makes it harder to find things if they are in more than one place. Can you come up with a range of topics aimed at newbies mainly, but general ideas too to help. I have (just in my head) what I think it might look like, but I'd love some input. The forum is growing every day and I want to improve it whilst I have the opportunity.

I'm also thinking we need to check the information in the FAQ area (and other places of general game info) so see if it's up to date as well. Have a think about it, discuss it amongst yourselves and let me know what you think. (I can delete this post if you aren't interested to keep the integrity of your thread). But I would love it if you said yes! Thank you! SW

Gardenia, the one thing I'm thinking off the top of my head is to put a PLEASE READ post at the very top of the CS forum. The problem seems to be from people who don't bother to read or search and just jump on the forum with their own personal question. The PLEASE READ sticky could have the basics on using the search button and a few other tidbits. It would have to be short, b/c the main problem with newbies is they don't read, lol!

Let me see what I can come up with in the next few days. I agree it's repetitive and irritating to see the same questions a million times.

Oooh oooh ooh, i have one!! Last night i started to clean our big silver chanukiah for the festival of lights. 8 whole days and nights of burning oil mini cups. It's beautiful! I am sending a sapling. It will only grow to about 2 feet high, but oh what a sight. I cannot reveal my sources of where I obtained it, but it is a tree that produces jewels. It will only sprout once a year during December. This is how I finance Christmas, but I think The Great Thuan will find it very satisfactory also. You can only water it once a month at full moon. You can only water it with tears. I usually cut onions if I'm running short. It's a huge responsibility, but well worth it.

I have been toiling for weeks and I have gifts for the Great Thuan. From my mines I have forged a special vase made of my purest ores and I filled it with an arrangement of my rarest and most beautiful florals, herbs and greens. In addition, I send a citrus sapling which is a special hybrid from my orange and lemon groves. Please give my deepest respects to the Thuan!

Greetings, Fair Thuakians!

I have returned from Thuan, where The Great Thuan was inducted as the Supreme and Celestial Kumquat of Light! It was so beautiful there - the amazing snow capped mountains, the secret crystal pools, the sumptuous meadows filled with the rare glowing wildflowers of Thuan... Truly special.

The ceremony was fantastic! All the notable people were there, the Dalai Lama, Benedict Cumberbatch (I got to sit next to him - squeal!), Elvis, and, of course, Obama, just to mention a few. The wind was whipping through the prayer flags and the sun glinted against the great peak of Kazam as the holy Kumquat mantle was placed on the shoulders of The Great Thuan. It was really spectacular, and I thought of you all and how much I wished you were there with me.

Afterwards there was a fabulous party, dancing til dawn, but Benedict and I slipped away a little early for some good, old fashioned snogging. Sigh. BTW, ladies, he's really good, but I don't kiss and tell. :)

The Great Thuan thanks you all for the lovely gifts! He was so impressed with each of them, as he adores fine crafting. The jewel tree has been planted in the courtyard of the palace, and all the monks in the land are collecting tears for its upkeep. Right next to it is the limone tree, and the scent of it's flowers are a heavenly intoxication to all who pass by. His personal alter is adorned with the tureen jar candle and the lovely chanukiah, and he wears the stunning red diamond ring every day.

He sends each of you a beautiful golden kumquat, filled with his blessings for a safe, prosperous and empathetic new year and his wishes that our society will continue in abundance!

Bit tired here, but need to get this subject off my wall, lol...

Swedish ELK (this is the animal most Americans call a moose) meatballs:

Best if you hunt your own baby Elk (many Swedes do this).
If you are not a hunter, buy the minced meat either 400 g (14 oz??) elk, 100 g (3,5 oz) pork, or only elk if you don't eat pork. Elk can be substituted by beef if you live in, say, California/Florida or some other moose/elk lacking place...

One slice of white bread, crumbed and soaked in some double cream, about 0.5 cup (1,5 dl).
One ground yellow onion, one ground clove (?) of garlic. Some chopped parsley. A little salt and some finely ground black (or white) pepper. One egg, not cooked.

Mix everything. Season with some veal stock, cognac and soy sauce. Feel free to use sour cream, nutmeg or allspice if you want to, even if I wouldn't. Season according to taste, lol!
Form to nice sized balls, lol, fry in pan with butter and some oil (I use rapeseed or sunflower seed oil). After the meat balls get some nice color, let them cook in the pan on lower temperature until cooked through.I serve with the juices from the pan, you can also make a sauce with flour, juices from the frying pan and double cream.

Serve with lingonberry jam, or, even better, lingonberries preserved uncooked. And boiled potatoes. This is important.

It is rather pathetic, when they make such a big deal about the "economies" of the game (Read: S8's balance sheet)... I didn't even bother, after the forum posts (passed on to me, ty NorthWoods!) listed some of the requirements- and really just can't seem to get excited about much CS lately. So I got a couple trees, and with some assistance got both to level 2- and will store them asap, as I have the research center, the lucky-quest thingy (that never dropped anything but coins, for me)... Makes me wonder why they seem to be so deliberately driving longer term players away.

1. ATTN: Thuakian Welcoming Committee!
As alerted in the game, please extend your welcomes & secret handshakes on the in-game wall of our newest member (link to his kingdom via one of his posts near the bottom of my wall).
Introducing: Rockazar from Down Under... a long-time Lv 50 player & quiet non-posting forum reader, but also a recently self-proclaimed TSS stalker, lol. Once he hunted me down in the game, I directed him to this thread to answer his questions & curiosities about our group. And then he promptly printed it out lol, just to have a hard copy on hand. (Now if that's not the sign of a good stalker with the bonus feature of having secretary s****s, what is? LOL)
Therefore, in response to his obvious dedication to our cause, I've now presented him with, and he now wields, the unique #1 Thuakie Spear (complete with a detachable boomerang lol). I have also personally designated him to hold the newly appointed Officer position of Stalker-Secretary for the Society in addition to being my personal Smeagal (he referred to himself as such on my wall and I think I need one, even though I'm not quite sure what my gollum-hobbit's specific duties or role actually would be, lol!).
So, a secret handshake & sword (or other weapon) salute to the newbie Thuakian is in order!
Go check out his kingdom that is in the process of some rearranging, pop some hearts and ooh & ahh over his new Outback Thuakie Spear w/Boomerang, lol.
(But PLEASE! Don't. Scare. My Smeagol! He's actually super shy & doesn't like attention and as a result, was initially reluctant to join us when I surprised him with this. He'll probably retreat back into the shadows once all of this initial hoopla has blown over, so go easy on him, please.)

2. It's time to VOTE!
As Grand Poobah & by Royal Decree, I have already inducted new Officer, Rockazar.
But when I formed this club back in 2014, I promised that any additional new *Round Table openings* would first be put to a Society vote, lol.
So... As we near our 2-year anniversary (can you believe it's been 2 yrs already?!), do you, as 1 of the current 53 Thuakians, vote yea or nay to the opening of our Knights' Hall doors for more of my neighbors to join the ranks of this Thuakie Society as a 4th Round Table? (Personally, I think we need some more male members in particular; it's a bit estrogen-heavy around here, lol.)
You can either voice your vote here or in the game, on my wall. (Both options are given cuz I know some of you still have trouble even getting to my kingdom without being booted out of the game. Grr!)
But let's keep the chatter about it somewhat low-key on my game wall cuz I don't wanna alert my non-Thuakian neighbors to it prematurely, especially if the vote doesn't pass. A simple "voting yea" or "voting nah" or "Vote" w/thumbs up or thumbs down emojis will suffice on my wall. I'll let you know in-game when your vote has been recorded.
Whether you post your vote here or on my wall, results will be announced & posted in both places soon. :cool:

3. Inactive Thuakians
A. :( Sadly, I know there are some current Round Table members who have left the game. :(
So, therefore -- those Thuakians who neither respond with a 4th Round Table vote (here or on my wall) nor welcome Rockazar (here or on his wall) --and either of those within a somewhat timely manner-- will be considered inactive. Yes, they will forever keep their numbered swords and stay in our directory in the event they return, but will now be denoted with an " I " preceding their names in our TSS Member Roster (this thread's 2nd post). It needs some updating so we all can keep up with the Thuakians who ARE still active. Thx! :)
B. Speaking of updating, I notice there are a few of you who STILL haven't taken the pledge in order to be officially inducted & some of you who haven't told me if I can or can't include any of the add'l info beside your names in the roster, so why not take this opportunity to go back to the 2nd post & check to see if that's YOU and then rectify that for me/us, k?

4. In-Game Private Chat
I have a level 1 kingdom that originally, I just used for gifting myself & answering neighbor requests for materials to myself lol, but I'm now also making it available as a private place away from our public walls for chatting 1-on-1 with me, should there be such a time that any Thuakian needs to.
*Here's how it'll work:
If I need a private chat with you, I'll write "1-on-1 @ level 1" or something similar in code on your wall as a heads up to be on the lookout for an invite from my level 1 kingdom named "oceanside". If you need a private chat with me, let me know on *my* wall and then I'll generate an invite for you from oceanside. Once our private chat there has ended, I'll clear that wall & delete you from oceanside's neighbor list, so it can remain a private place for chatting 1-on-1 with others. Since our main kingdom walls are so public & popular, now the entire CS community doesn't have to be privy to any matters that you & I want to discuss privately, freely and solely with each other. :cool:

Thank you all. Unfortunately, we lost and I must concede to *gulp* Donald Trump 😳. The country has spoken, and I will not contest it.

As is custom, earlier today I dispatched Northwoods with a singing ******** to congratulate Trump. 🎶🐥.

We rigged this as much as we possibly could to avoid this outcome. We encouraged and accepted votes from all countries worldwide. We rewarded multiple votes with multiple Lollies 🍭🍭. Nothing worked. I blame myself - some unexpected last minute tax issues sprung up.

I will try to work with our new leader guy to try to prevent him from undoing all the important environmental, climate, and social issue gains we have made that he has promised to destroy. But I am only one person. Setting us back from decades and decades of progress seems like our "New America" his supporters want and probably will now get. This "protest vote" joke is now our future.

Our numbers were incredible though! Popular vote was right up there, but fell short on the electoral votes. We even made a real impact on the Alaska state house race! 😁

My incredible campaign manager Nelson made all this possible! 😘 👍🏻

I wanted to let you guys know about something pretty cool happening for me & my family.
Our oldest is the GM at a fabulous restaurant here in our area & made an appearance on Food Paradise on the Travel Channel.
The episode "Here's The Beef" replays on February 12th @ 7 Eastern/6 Central. He's in the Gristmill Restaurant in Gruene, TX. segment....about 30 minutes in.

Privy to TSS Tao have I just had. I am but a purple winged sprite who cannot be near swords. Respect and honor to the TSS for their CS forum contributions. (It's mostly ya'll). You may not want to be my neighbor as I sometimes flee the Kingdom vowing to never return. Bickering and time wasting there is too much of (**** goals!). Alas I can never keep away too long, years of playing have proven that. If you will allow me to hover over your kingdom and drop down a gift occasionally, my delight it would be. Otherwise, I watch from behind branches of a magic fruit tree. Occasionally I will check to see the sage advice of the TSS in navigating CS.

G'day my precious,and fellow Thuakians. In response to the latest Q,I'd probably say my favourite vacation,of sorts,was ten days hiking the south west cape of Tasmania. Basically had to fly in on an eight seater plane and set out from there,carrying everything you needed. Was exhausting at times,cold,wet,but also exhilarating. And almost no one else around :-) And of course I'd love my vacation home in the U.S. somewhere. Would love to tour the states at leisure,trying all the great food places,seeing the sights,and visiting lots of Cs neighbours and maybe an ale or two ;-)
On that note,I think I might have one now. Smeagol out✊��

That's because ten days have now passed & only 23 people heeded the recent Call to Action!
My thanks to those 23 who reached out with a welcome to Chief Beef &/or congratulated bingo &/or Lorrainne, either here or on their walls. So technically, that leaves 72% of our Society as INACTIVE Thuakians (have either left CS entirely or still play the game but are either no longer sociable &/or show no interest in TSS).
So yeah, I'm disappointed in this sad turn-out, left with a bit of a quandary, and want input from everyone (or at least the 1/4 of our Society who are still around & still give a flying flip about it all)...

I guess what you wrote in option 3 is tru for many old timers but there are always someone new and enthusiastic coming along. I see that on my wall. Whilst a lot of my old neighbors have stopped playing, I still have at least 50 daily playing neighbors. So, I'd go with option 6 :)

I expect all members will have more or less activity depending upon their Real Life Situations. If you wish to acknowledge those that are currently more active go for #5. Less active at the moment doesn’t necessarily mean the members are inactive or have left the game. But then I do have a great deal of patience and compassion for others knowing that Real Life happens...

Hey Captain I'm very sorry for not being so active in TSS these days :( it's not on purpose! Besides my responsability at work, I'm having a hard time doing my master thesis and I'm already preparing Monte Verde Festival '18 too. Then I still need to have time for my family, friends, my lover... Although I login everyday in CS, the truth is only concentrate on a few things, mostly the weekly events. I wish they didn't create events every week like we have now. It gets hard to find time to farm for the next event. And I try to collect everything in CS, but I have to spend much more money today to finish most events on time. It's what CS has become: a money-grabber game. And I think it's really dying slowly. But after more than a thousand dollars spent :/ I don't want to quit this game...

I understand if you think a player like me doesn't belong to the TSS anymore. It takes time and a bit of commitment. But I would like to stay... I will try to be more present! :)

Most of my longtime neighbors have quit and I rarely check the forums anymore. So...I say open the Thuackie Society to new, eager players (whatever that choice number was. LOL)

I would mark 'less active' at the moment and send another appeal to non-responding members again. It could be a moment in life they have less time to dedicate to playing the game due to uncontrollable circumstances.
Therafter.. to resolve all problems of a higher participation of members, opening a 5th round table would result in many more active members.
I don't think solving the TSS as a solution. I think of TSS as the heart-beat of CS.. and only through our enthusiasm the game will stay alive.

In the good ole days we actually had time to visit neighbors etc. while we waited for story content to be released. After much wandering through dark and creepy forests, crossing icy swift rivers, and climbing hills and descending mountains, I, Wild of Wildwood, lately a Nomad, wielder of the Magical Mystery Sword #51, have returned to my TSS Table! Huzzah!

To be honest, I love and treasure my TSS sword and the honor of being counted among the elite few. But after a couple years CS got boring and repetitive. Visiting made it tolerable but not fun really. After awhile I just went bare bones, stopped visiting, worked on building coins, returned gifts and requests. I can’t even remember the last event I completed or was much jazzed about. I’m guessing we’re all in the same rut.

I think opening a new round table would be fun but eventually those players will likely feel as blah about CS as we do now. I fear an endless conveyor belt of new tables as the old ones fall off. I also feel marking players as inactive or most active could lead to a perceived hierarchy, especially if those labeled inactive didn’t give any notice but were just marked MIA. They may just be lurkers, or not reading their wall like me.

I like Meeka’s fb group idea. It would be a gathering place to share more than what’s allowed on walls or in the notoriously censored forum. It also boosts the exclusivity of the TSS ;) I think we should attempt to rally the troops, so to speak, and get our current members energized. Maybe a list of TSS goals (like the U goals) or a contest for best theme area in our realm, or best design using (pick item), for example. We could share pics and do a fb poll on our group.

What I’m saying is we already have a lot of members, let’s get our tables together and create our own fun and kick the CS blahs in the butt!:D

Last night via pm, I voted for 4 & 5 and to definitely keep TSS going as it’s the only thing that is fun about this game some days. However after reading other results and opinions, I do like the idea of marking some players MIA instead of inactive. I too have cut back on visits and wall posts as RL has gotten more demanding, and the game has become more monotonous. But as others have stated, TSS and my neighbors keep me around.
I would reserve option 6 for possible use in the future, depending on how many remain inactive, and how many players S8 manages to completely alienate.

I also vote for 4, 5 and 6. I have hope that CS will get back to the story and with the recent surveys it seems they are interested in what we have to say.

Like many of you, life seems to take me more away from CS, but I do play daily-I just don't have time for wall visits and much of the social stuff. BUT I will always have time for TSS. North Woods and TSS are really what has made this game special for me--enough that I'm almost to my 5 year anniversary! (is that awesome or pathetic? I'm not sure!)

So thanks again for trying to keep this going. It does make CS special for me!

my quick thought is no one would like to see this disbanded. but RL and game updates that slow down or break the game (or ones will to play it) all play a factor.

I admit to being a less active person these days, first child heading to college and work. Life is crazy... plus the lack of storyline and frequency of events is getting to me. I have been picking and choosing what I play. If the graphics weren’t so lovely I would have skipped this too. I admit to cutting down. Missed out on the fire Phoenix when I skipped that event so the blue one pulled me in. But I spent down my gems to get him, since I am not expecting to play much in the next few months...

Please keep the group together. I read the forum to stay in touch even when I am not playing. Chief Beef you have brought many a smile to my face. They should be recruitOmg you as a story developer and paying you handsomely in gemstones and horses.

My vote is for #4, 5 & 6 with an emphasis on a current roster of "Most Active" if someone wishes to keep that up to date and alive.

Real life can be a real []periodically for most people so that should also be taken into consideration before removing from the active list I suggest a courtesy message on their wall, like check in w TSS.

I know my life has been extremely rocky since last August . People may need a bit of slack and a niggle from time to time.

I think you should distinguish between members who quit playing CS entirely, those who didn‘t respond because they don’t care and those who didn’t respond because of real life.

I‘m not very active if you judge me by posting (walls or forum) or visiting.

But I still play every day and am proud to be a member of TSS. Thanks for creating such a unique way to feel the community. I really hope you‘re not disbanding TSS.

Popping in to report that a week has now passed since the Poll and 31 members have now responded to it & voted, which is a better turn-out than the Call to Action & really nice to see, which makes me happy.
My thanks has been posted on all voters' walls but I also wanted to reiterate it here: THANKS for your poll votes & sharing your thoughts! It's really nice to know there are at least a few more Thuakians still around than there appeared to be, a week ago.

To give the others more time to vote, I'm gonna give it another week before I post the final results & my decision. I also don't want to be accused (again) of not giving *enough* response-time so it's 2 weeks this time, instead of 10 days.
Y'know, at a certain point, waiting becomes TOO long to wait, as News is News for only so long until it becomes OLD News, lol. Thanks for your understanding as I try to determine just exactly what that proper "wait time" now is for TSS, since it's obviously longer than it USED to be, in the days of yore.

I'm also gonna go back around to give one more reminder to those who still haven't responded but I know are still playing CS, soooo... I guess I'm just popping on to give everyone a mini update, some reassurance that I'm here & hear y'all & to say again, "Stay tuned."

Positive post in all decisions.. and thanks so much for what you do.
Wait time has been lengthened to accommodate all styles of RL.. so I'm sure no member will feel left out or think they have not been notified. More than posting walls and private TSS thread there is little left to do after waiting a more than reasonable time.
I agree with member lindball's suggestion of 'most active' instead of 'inactive' for the time being.. giving less-active members still another chance to step forward. If after no response is received.. our leader must, even if a horrible task, make her final decisions to create an updated list.
The FB suggestion, I personally would have problems participating as I don't use that app.

I like 4, 5 and 6. Having a hard time because the repetitiveness of the game (and my competitiveness to get the xyz item) takes up a lot of time. Still a daily player, but I rarely visit this forum anymore.

There is a FB group I belong to for another S8 game. We help each other with stuff, but this game isn't geared toward that.

Thank you, Grand Poobah, for your latest reminder on my wall. I'm what you could call a less than active player at the moment. Time has been a factor in my not being able to visit my neighbors and enjoy the TSS Society as much as before, but the major reason is lack of interest in CS. Their never-ending succession of repetitive events seem impossible to achieve without babysitting the game every day and spending real money, which I don't want to do. Because of my amount of play time and refusal to spend big money, I never seem to get the final reward anymore. I'm feeling they have finally taken the fun out of the game for me.

However, I really enjoy being a part of TSS which is always fun and entertaining when I join in, so I don't want to see it disbanded. So I give a BIG "NO" to Items 1, 2 and 3. My vote yes is for 5. I think you should use your discretion on items 4 and 6.

Big congratulations to our new officer, Beefus, and to our new senior advisors, Bingo & Lorrainne.

I hope to get more active in the future, and find a way I can play without getting frustrated.

Apologies for this post being so long (I have a lot to say) & for posting it 3 days late. Unexpectedly going out-of-state last weekend put me behind with a lot of stuff this week.

Lords! Ladies! ~ ⚔️Dilly, Dilly!⚔️

In my kingdom, you may have noticed the huge log path letters changed from spelling out "TSS?" to "TSS!" - the weirdly placed question mark has been replaced with a weirdly placed FLAMING exclamation point. (Weirdly placed cuz the grid of our kingdoms makes straight lines difficult in some directions ...& I ran out of room, lol.)
Why the punctuation change? Well, my previous fear for our Society's existence is now excitement for its future! So, to squash any concerns right out of the gate, I'm not disbanding TSS! Even if our Society dwindles to no one left in it but me or it ends because we ALL leave CS or even if it ends because CS dies & this forum thread disappears, it *won't* end because *I* ended it by dissolution. I'm ready to fight for our survival! So everyone who was worried, can now breathe a sigh of relief.
To celebrate this about-face, I've temporarily turned on all walkers in my queendom who look remotely Thuakie-ish & ready for battle: Thurston, Kaz, Henrick, Hewitt, the Woodland Rider, and the new Guardsman! *sword salute*

Now, onto the Poll...
Two weeks (+3 days) have now passed since I posted it & it's been a week (+3 days) since I delivered reminders to those who hadn't voted yet. I think that's (3 days beyond) a reasonable amount of time to wait before it becomes old news & that's sufficient notifications before I just become a nuisance.
Special thanks to the 37 Thuakians who voted & gave suggestions! It still isn't even half of our 81 membership but it's a big improvement from the 23 who responded to the Call To Action before it. My reaction to that & subsequent poll must have scared some folks but I'm not gonna take anyone's sword away or kick anyone out of TSS. I never planned to do that. Once a Thuakian, always a Thuakian. Even those who leave the game don't lose their sword, seat or number! It also isn't my intention to give anyone a hard time. I never planned to do that either. I'm very well aware of the various reasons for no, little, or slow responses - because more folks are leaving (or have already left) Castle Story, cuz of the back-to-back timed events which have affected folks' ability to be as sociable as they used to be, due to real life stuff (which also happens to me too, y'all!), etc., etc.

Yes, I was surprised, disappointed, & saddened by the low turn-out of folks to welcome Chief Beef into TSS & to congratulate bingo & Lorrainne for being recognized with an Officer "knighthood" because it was such a different rate of response to Calls I made in the past. Even though some of the same RL reasons applied for folks' level of activity then, I used to receive *some* sort of response from over 50% of TSS, and usually within 3-5 days. The response DROP itself is what upset me & initiated the poll, not the reasons *for* the drop. I've never faulted folks for RL issues & consider *any* RL reason to be valid. If I blame anything for the low response, it's the reasons that apply NOW that *didn't* apply in the early days: the never-ending events & people leaving or becoming a lot less active in the game because of the massive loss of passion for CS. That passion decrease mostly translated to me as also being a lack of care or interest in TSS, simply by default. I can now see that some of my reaction was based on an incorrect assumption & was also somewhat misplaced. So, as it turns out (and not for the reasons you may think), I owe y'all some apologies. Here's why:
1) I over-reacted.
2) Reading some of your feedback & suggestions made me realize something really key & important that I had previously overlooked --> My "Call to Action" on April 6 was the FIRST one I've made since Rockazar & the 4th Round Table joined us, back in Aug-Sept 2016! Yeah, all Thuakians may have taken the Pledge & promised to follow our Tao (2 of which apply now - to support fellow members & to respond to the Call of your Captain), but 35% of our Society has never been called on by me before. Truth be told, they've never had much explained to them at all since they joined, beyond being directed to that Pledge & Tao (or if they've maybe read our FAQ). They weren't around in the early days of TSS so they've never really been exposed to much of our jargon or gotten familiar with our procedures & ways, and don't remember the FUN things we used to do (w/the exception of those few who participated in my 2017 N'hood Summer Block Party) because most of the fun happened before their time. Therefore, even though *I* thought I was being clear, some Thuakians were still mostly clueless, not really knowing what my Calls are or what they mean, how to respond or what to do. (For those reasons & to hopefully provide more clarity, I will compose a lexicon of our terminology soon. More on that, near the end.)
So, it was unfair & unrealistic for me to expect the late-comer Thuakians to respond to my Call in the same prompt "Call to Active Duty" manner that the 3 Round Tables before them *used* to respond. Yet even so, 11 of the later members comprised nearly HALF of those who responded to my initial Call! (*That* percentage surprises me so much that now, I'm impressed! You 11 know who you are. :))
3) My above epiphany immediately made me realize the main reason WHY the later members were confused or uninformed or uninvolved. The fact is - I have been as susceptible to the same widespread boredom & ennui for our beloved game as anyone else. TSS *has* suffered too & not only by everyone else's apathy, but also *mine*. Yes, I am as guilty as any other member for neglecting TSS these past many months. The 4th Round Table aren't the only Thuakians who have had an absent & lackluster leader so in reality, it was unfair & unrealistic for me to expect *ANY* Round Tables to respond with the same speed or enthusiasm as TSS's first couple years, back when *I* was a lot more active in our Society & excited about the game, too.

So, for those 3 reasons, I sincerely apologize to you guys, especially for scaring, offending, or putting folks on the defensive. It may seem mostly unfounded now, but I kinda freaked about the lack of response to my Call after 10 long days because regardless of the reasons for it (RL or not, valid or not), it felt like I had lost something important to me that I had worked so hard to create. In hindsight, I misplaced the blame on y'all when all I needed to do was look in the mirror, put my Poobah boots back on & then simply ask for some help.
It may all be silly now but all of it may also just have been the kick in the pants I (& all of you) needed, to get TSS back on track. So lessons learned & let's move forward! Now that I've taken a step back to get a better view of the whole picture, I'd like to ask those of you who are still around, have the time or ability & still WANT to, to help me resuscitate, make some changes & turn things around for us because I can't do it all by myself. Castle Story may be beyond our control, but at least we can do something about our little TSS corner of it! The future of TSS starts with some things I *AND* all of you can do about it, as the results from my recent poll reveal...

Have somebody or somebodies (officers?) possess the Storm8 ID's of every TSS member (do not post them publicly), and therefore they become neighbors with all TSS members. Have a weekly post on each TSS member's wall from this somebody or somebodies. The post may be an official TSS Hello post, or perhaps a Call-To-Action post (imagine that!). Or it may be an official TSS Check-In post, one where the member is asked to respond to a poll, a fun question, CS trivia, a contest (you may be familiar with contests), or to report on current event likes/dislikes. I suggest having the destinations for TSS members' Check-In posts sometimes occur on walls other than yours (perhaps on officers' walls?). That way, the activity seems more TSS-y and less North-Woods-y. I also suggest having most of the somebody or somebodies doing the weekly posts be officers or others (bearing official TSS insignia in the wall posts), not merely you. You can visit any and all whenever you wish, for you are still their neighbor, after all. But having only you represent the hierarchy which you promote and celebrate, that seems a bit more like a cult of personality and less like a club.
2 votes -- Periodic Roll Calls, to help determine who's still active.
1 vote -- Be more concise & clear about your expectations. If you need us to do something, make that the only text in your announcements. Focusing on camaraderie instead of commands might be a welcome perspective. Structure and clear communication lines are necessary for any group to stay unified and involved. Organization! Seek encouragement, not sympathy. Instead, be a voice of hope that addresses the emotional risks we all take when we invest our time and money in CS. Then slowly, turn all of that collective emotion from CS to TSS.

The Future of TSS
(Numbered in response to poll item numbers. Based on members' votes, feedback & suggestions posted here, on my wall & in PM.)
Take note & be aware of these plans for our Society's future!

1. Changes are coming...
"Nothing" is not an option. That's how we got to where we are, and obviously something needs to happen, if we want TSS to bounce back & continue to thrive.

2. I'm not disbanding TSS. Ever.

3. CS may die a slow, agonizing death ...but TSS will not.

4. All Inactive Thuakians will soon be marked in our Roster in new ways.
Before this poll, Thuakians have been denoted as I for "Inactive" in our Roster whether they had left the game or if they were still playing CS but not participating in TSS. And initially, the "non-responders" I asked about marking "inactive" in the poll were all Thuakians except those 23 who heeded my initial Call to Action. But for purposes of implementing a new way of tracking activity as we go forward, I'm adjusting it to be those Thuakians who didn't heed or respond to my initial Call *AND* didn't vote or even respond to my recent Poll *AND* don't respond to this post. Basically, today's inactive non-responders are those who have been radio silent for *all 3* of TSS's recent business.
To accommodate the suggestions for additional ways to distinguish non-responding members, a new key of symbols will replace the current legend in our Roster and will denote & delineate Thuakians into more categories.
I had considered doing away with the I altogether and just putting a strike mark through the Roster listings of folks who have left the game, but I thought it might make the Roster messy and cause those entries to be hard to read, so we'll keep the I for now... unless/until I change my mind, LOL!
⚔️ - will remain the pin/symbol beside pledged members who have been inducted.
New Symbols for Inactive Thuakians:
I = "Inactive" but now it will ONLY denote those inactive members who are no longer playing CS because they have permanently left the game (whether announced or not).
LOA = "Leave Of Absence" and denotes temporarily inactive members who are not playing CS or participating in TSS because they are away on an announced break from the game but plan to return after a short or specified period of time (vacation, holiday, wedding/funeral, surgery, etc., or maybe just bored w/CS & need an extended breather).
MIA = "Missing in Action" & will now denote members who are still active players of CS but are considered Inactive Thuakians because they are not responding to (or participating in) any TSS functions.
If I am aware of the *why* for a member to be MIA, I will delineate further than that, with add'l letters:
MIA:RL = MIA for Real Life reasons (H)[/b] for Health, (F) for Friends/Family, (P) for Personal, (W) for Work, etc.]
MIA:U = MIA because they're Uninterested in TSS (i.e., don't care)... that is, if I definitively know this is the reason for a member's inactivity, which I doubt they would ever tell me, lol.
So, if a member is just listed as MIA w/o any add'l letters, it means they ain't talking &/or I don't KNOW why they seem to be ignoring TSS while obviously still playing CS cuz I'm not THAT good of a mind-reader, lol.

5. More & Most Active Thuakians will soon be marked in our Roster in new ways.
This poll question was originally about the 23 people who heeded my initial Call to Action but for reasons explained elsewhere, it's not fair to only count them. So now, it will be those members who heeded or responded to the Call *AND* voted in the recent poll *AND* check back in w/me after reading this post.
Some people seem to prefer "more" over "most", but whatever/whichever, I'm gonna initially use BOTH words to distinguish activity, just maybe not ending up in the way you may think.
Originally, I was on the fence about calling any Thuakian "more" OR "most" active merely because they're engaging or participating in TSS functions. Technically, that's just being a Thuakian, period. Isn't #3 of the pledge everyone took when joining, "attend meetings whenever possible, support the club & its members, further its interests & contribute your share?" I wasn't sure following through on that & fulfilling the duties of a Thuakian deserved special recognition, but this item in the poll received the second highest votes from those who voted. So the more I thought about it, I decided there are actually 4 levels of TSS activity: inactive, active, more active, and most active (which is a combo level of TSS & CS activity).

To better define active & inactive: (for those who asked)
There is a difference between people who are active & inactive IN THE GAME (which is determined by things like playing the game & doing events, being social & visiting nbrs, posting on walls & forums) and being active or inactive IN TSS.
And just like with CS players, there are LEVELS of activity among TSS members, too. To be considered an active Thuakian, you don't also have to be a very active [I]player, meaning, you don't have to play every single event or be extra social with 3 or 4 hearts or visit your nbrs every day or post on players' walls all the time or be a regular poster on the forum (or even visit it much) to still be considered an active Thuakian. But INACTIVE Thuakians don't or won't even visit OUR forum thread, even when I've instructed members to come here to specifically read (&/or act on) something I've posted here (& even provided directions on how to find our thread). [Most already know this, but when I direct Thuakians to a post of mine here, it's because I have more to say than can be put into the limited space of a single wall post to deliver to everyone in the game & it'd take too many posts to be plastered on my wall.]
So, the level of activity of a Thuakian is determined by the frequency & degree that member adheres to & follows our pledge & Tao, helps others, checks in, heeds or responds to my Calls, acts as 1 of the Welcoming Committee, volunteers or hosts events, participates in our polls, storylines, questionnaires, surveys, wall parties, contests, or any other TSS business, function or activity.
I would consider the normal/basic active Thuakians to be those members who engage in up to 1/2 of TSS matters. Those members who participate 1/2 the time to ALL of the time are MORE active and I'd call "Star" Thuakians.
Now, members who are a more active Thuakian *AND* a very active player? Those used to be much more prevalent back in the old days but now they're rare. I'd say those members are the "most" active cuz they're very active in *both* TSS & CS...and I'd call them "Super Star" Thuakians! LOL (and yes, we still have a few of those around, too.)
Be on the look-out for an upcoming quiz about Game Play, to determine Super Star status. Have criteria questions/suggestions you'd like to see included? Let me know you do when you RSVP to this post & then get them to me within the week, by May 11.
Y'know, if Thuakians still play CS yet NEVER do anything for/with/about/in/because of our Society, they're actually more than just the newly dubbed "MIA".... really, they're AWOL! lol (but no, I'm not gonna add that acronym to the Symbol Key, lol.)

So, unless I get backlash & hear otherwise from y'all, our more active Thuakians will be denoted by these new symbols:
* = a Star Thuakian who is more active in TSS, participating at least 1/2 of the time & up to all of the time.
⭐ = a Super Star Thuakian who is more active in TSS, participating at least 1/2 of the time & up to all of the time and is also a very active CS player. (If I have issues with that gold star emoji, I'll find a diff gold star or asterisk to use.)
"Normal" active Thuakians who participate in TSS up to 1/2 of the time will be the only ones listed in the Roster with no additional symbol beyond their ⚔️ pin.

Note: When the new Key is added to our Roster w/the new symbols in it, our list of members will then be up to date (it is currently out of date). The Roster won't be updated for at least 2 wks, because that's now the Response Time allotment for important TSS business, and this post classifies as one.
FYI: Once the new Key is implemented, symbols by members' listings in our Roster will start as one thing but may change as more events occur & that person's level of TSS activity changes. Going forward, it is my plan to try to update our Roster at least once a month. Once updated, some of you may see a new-to-the-Roster but not new-to-you title or sword name belatedly added to your listing. :) For those new to the forum: You can tell when I last updated our Roster (or any other post), by looking for the "Last edited by NorthWoodsKingdom; (date) at (time)" at the bottom of the post.
If you ever feel you are denoted in our Roster with an incorrect activity symbol, bring it to my attention.

6. The opening of a 5th Round Table is postponed to a future date.
As established in the earliest days of TSS, Officer appointments are made solely by me but (other than our 1st Round Table) the addition of new members by opening another Round Table is put to a Society vote & only passes when quorum standards are first met & then by a majority vote. Quorum standards are 1/2 + 1 of the current membership. To meet our current quorum standards, at least 41 people needed to vote (1/2 + 1 of our current 81 members). Only 37 voted in this poll. To meet majority vote standards, this item in the poll needed at least 19 votes from those 37 voters. It received 15. Quorum NOR majority vote was met. Therefore, the 5th Round Table opening is tabled (ha!) for another time. Yes, new blood would bring us new energy, but they'll just have to wait, & we'll just need to get OUR blood pumping again.
Besides, I *just* added some new blood with the royal appointment of my personal Guardsman & Head of our Muscle Guard, lol... Chief Beef. Plus, I ain't got the time to make a bunch of personalized Thuakie swords right now so I'm actually breathing a sigh of relief that this didn't pass! LOL

7. There might be an additional online gathering place for TSS in the future.
For right now, the 2 main gathering places will remain here in this thread & on my wall. While FaceBook is a good suggestion, I don't think TSS would be more active there or our numbers would be any greater there...in fact, both would probably be even less than here. Some Thuakians want to remain anonymous & aren't interested in opening access to their FaceBook page. Some Thuakians aren't even on FaceBook or familiar w/the app (one of those would be me, lol). Besides, how would I get Inactive & MIA Thuakians to even respond to it? The only ways to directly reach them are on their walls or in PM, both of which they're already not responding to.
There may be another option: There are groups for S8's diff games here, on this forum. Those groups have their own section of the forum (this thread is in the forum's "Off-Topic" section). Any of the group members can start threads which stay listed within their group section of the forum. I don't know exactly how it all works or what other special features may be offered so when I get more time, I will do more research and see if starting a TSS forum group here would be a good fit for us. Stay tuned. If anyone has better familiarity with forum groups on here, pls explain it to me in PM.

8. A fortnight Response Time Allotment & 1-week Reminder Notice will now apply to all important TSS business.
My original allowance of a week & subsequent extension to 10 days is now extended to 2 weeks to allow enough time for members to act on &/or respond to: my Calls to Action, big announcements, activations of our Welcoming Committee, major voting polls, Roll Calls, & other important matters. For those who don't respond within the first week, I'll deliver a reminder.

9. All Thuakians are asked to review & refresh themselves with the Pledge they took and Tao they promised to follow when they joined TSS. (Both can be found in post 1 on page 1.)
"Happiness, helpfulness & fun" have been part of our precepts since day one and can be found ALL over the pledge & Tao because that was the original point & what we've always been about! We just all need to have a hand in making it happen again.
In particular, I'd like to point out #9 of our Tao: "Party! ... Frivolity is always welcome & hosting your own wall party is strongly encouraged. Any holiday, occasion or theme is acceptable."
That "Any" is not limited to holidays, occasions or themes, but also includes everything that was recently suggested to me in the poll: contests, questionnaires, a list of TSS goals (like the U goals), contest for best theme area in our realm, best design using (pick item), poll, a fun question, CS trivia, a contest, current event likes/dislikes....& on & on & on (limited only by our imaginations). In the past, I hosted the majority of the TSS wall events that occurred, but let's spread it around more, because our Society is not a "cult of personality" and I cannot always be the sole person responsible for providing fun for everyone.
Everyone is reminded that anyone can volunteer at any time to create & host a wall or forum event of their choosing or creation for Society participation...and is strongly encouraged to do so. A master Event Sign-Up Sheet will be posted here, so it can be referenced like a calendar, to know who is hosting what event and when and where.
EDIT 5/11: The master EVENTS CALENDAR is now posted at the top of Post #4 on page 1. (may be moved for easier reference)

10. Monthly Check-In Roll Calls will begin.
Attendance will normally happen in the game & by me. It will be a "Roll Call" post I make on your wall in the first few days of the month, which will require a "checking in" response back (on my wall, or here, or in PM).
For May, the RSVP, etc. that is requested from this post will also serve as this month's Roll Call. Looking forward: The next Roll Call is scheduled for early June as a normal in-game one, when a simple response of "present" or "I'm here" or "#78 checking in" or whatever will suffice.

Hopefully there will now be a wall party or other TSS function being hosted by a different Thuakian each month. If so, those events may serve as that month's Check-In as I will probably request a list of full attendance from the host at the end of their event. But if/when a month passes without any wall event or other TSS function, the in-game Roll Call will serve as a way to take attendance & get at least a monthly headcount for purposes of keeping our Roster up to date. Those Roll Call posts may also include a sign-up request for event volunteers for the upcoming month(s), to be added to our Master Event Sign-Up Sheet here.

As far as the suggestion to have another member or Officer(s) possess all members' S8 IDs & become neighbors w/all Thuakians to deliver a weekly message or a TSS Hello post or a Call-To-Action post, or to receive Check-In posts from members so they're on more walls than mine, etc....
A) *I* don't even have all members' S8 IDs. Most IDs are listed in our Roster but I only know a couple of IDs for those members who requested their IDs not be posted there. The remainder are just simply unknown.
B) No Officer (or other member) pledged or signed up to do the things I do. That kind of additional responsibility would require volunteer(s), not delegation(s). Wanna volunteer?
C) If this suggestion is just to have TSS destinations on more members' walls than mine, then see #9 immediately above.
D) Yes, all Thuakians are my neighbors. Any Thuakian is welcome to be neighbors with all Thuakians they can locate, if they like. That's the main reason I wanted members' S8 IDs listed in our Roster. However, being the neighbor of all Thuakians is not a TSS requirement, nor is it a requirement to host a wall event. If that host isn't nbrs with all of the (active) Society, I will do what I've always done when directing traffic for the Welcoming Committee, wall parties & other various TSS reasons: Point everyone to that host's kingdom by pointing out their post on my wall.
If anyone besides me IS neighbors with all other (active) Thuakians, please let me know.

11. I will try really, really, reeeeeeally hard to be more concise & clear with my expectations & in my announcements.
Being more clear is something I *might* be able to do; I dunno cuz I realize I can sometimes talk in circles or repeat myself or explain things SO much that I can then make them *more* confusing instead of providing more clarity... but CONCISE? Now, that's definitely gonna prove to be a lot more difficult for me.....cuz sometimes that's just not possible (like now, lol!).
I'm not really a person who is ever at a loss for words (obviously, lol) and sometimes (most times?) I have a lot to say. And when I do, it just takes the amount of words that it takes, to say what I have to say. I can't help that; I am who I am. And part of who I am can be... verbose. (I think I might have been a writer in a previous life. LOL)
So, I didn't succeed with being concise this time. (Y'think? lol) But to help make my expectations more clear in this super mega long post, I *think* I've highlighted all the things I want y'all to DO & ACT ON in red.
Another way I'm gonna try to provide more clarity is next (& last, phew!... for now, lol).

12. A TSS Lingo Lexicon is coming soon!
As first mentioned wayyyyy up there near the beginning of this tome, an alphabetical & centralized list of our lingo, jargon, terminology, slang, keywords & phrases, etc. is wayyy overdue. I will start work on this soon and try to find a place on our first page to post it, for easier reference.
Let me know if there are any unclear or confusing TSS words/phrases, etc. that you'd like to see defined & added to our lexicon. Longer questions will be added to our FAQ.

If you're just wanting a celebration, just do something like Lorrainne did for her lil Cinco de Mayo bash yesterday...
You can pick a place in your kingdom to have it (or not). You can even decorate a certain area specifically for the party, if ya want. (Maybe even point that out to folks if you do, so they see it.)
Or is it a "wander the grounds" type of affair?
Is it a pool (or pond) or beach party?
Is there a dress code?
Are you serving certain refreshments or drinks or is it potluck & BYOB? Lol
Is it a scavenger hunt, to find some thing(s) hidden in your kingdom?
There are LOTS of things you can do...just think of what you would normally do to host a REAL party & then adjust it for CS-land, lol

If you're wanting to host a wall event that requires more participation (from you or from your visitors or both), then ask your guests a question or post a short quiz or CS trivia or, or, or, lol... This can be one question or many. They can be posted all at one time, or it can last a week or more, with a new one each day. .... endless options, folks! lol
Biggest determining factor? The amount of time you can devote to it & the amount of work you want for yourself, lol.

Post a welcome message or other information on your wall, at the start of your event.
Is it the type of party where you'll be present the whole time & answer your guests back on their wall almost immediately, or maybe even answer 'em back right away on YOUR wall? (Wow, I haven't done one of THOSE in years!! ..it's hard to keep your sword on the wall during *those* kinda parties, lol!)
Is it a type of event that requires you to post answers to something later? (Then announce on your wall when those answers will be posted.)
Or is the type of party like Lorrainne's, where folks just drop by real quick?

Is the party/event for a specific day & length of time (note, it's harder to get a bigger turn-out for those cuz of the time restrictions & folks' schedules, unless more notice & announcements are given) or is it a floating party for a few hours or whole day or weekend or for a week or 2 or whatever?

All of those ideas above are just suggestions -- it doesn't have to be either one of them. Make it yours!

Once you've decided the specifics & details:
Post the announcement here (more notice you can give HERE, the better - cuz I'll post that Master Sign-Up Sheet I talked about, when ya do...although, I might change the name of it (maybe, TSS EVENTS CALENDAR?)
Then try to fit the most important details into 1 post to put on MY wall, so I can direct folks over there when it's party time (especially those who aren't your neighbors). You might also want to post it on your wall.
If you're happy with a smaller turn-out, that's about it. But for the best turnout and to make more people aware of it, deliver notices around to your neighbors' walls a day or so before the event.

The type of event you have will usually determine when (& how often) you'll need to visit folks back, but it's nice if you visit all of your party guests at least once, even if it's after the event is over, just to thank them for stopping by.

For your occasion & since it's your first wall party - I would suggest something simple, like Lorrainne's party last night.

But, this is for anyone planning wall events, going forward:
Please keep an attendance list to give me after it's over. Send it to me in PM, if it's too long to post on my wall (or request an oceanside invite, where you can make all the wall posts you want! lol)

Sorry to disappoint, if you've been keeping an eye on this poll... cuz now, that makes me feel bad.
But Round Table openings aren't up to me and there weren't enough Society votes for it to pass this go 'round.
I can't offer you an Officer position at this time, because I don't know you well enough & haven't connected with you enough on the forum OR behind the scenes to warrant a titled post.

I don't wanna get your hopes up too much here & maybe I should work this out behind the scenes before posting it here lol, BUT.... let me consult with my advisors (lol) or Officers or possibly the entire (currently active) Society because there's another *category* of Thuakians I've considered opening for awhile now but haven't been quite ready to bring it up yet because the specifics haven't fully revealed themselves to me yet (especially the particulars about weapons). But whatever, here's the rough idea lol...

This would be a group for Thuakian "interns", lol... so it would be a group where I *or* a Society member can vouch for & "sponsor" an individual to enter our ranks without the rules of quorum & majority vote that apply to the opening of a whole new Round Table. These "interns" could join our ranks in a reduced capacity (no numbered weapon yet??) but still be included & participate in our functions. Then, when the next Round Table is voted to be open, these individuals would no longer be in this group because their internship would be over & they'd be a full-fledged Thuakian, getting the first numbered seats at the new Round Table, along with an official Thuakie sword and member number.

The name of this potential new intern group? -- "TSS Squires" (or "Thuakians-in-Training") .. or Thuakian-in-Training Squires!
Cuz this may sound crude, but it really makes me laugh ... The Society can refer to these little squires as our little T.I.T.s (the forum won't let me write that word w/o the periods inserted)! ..our lil T.I.T. Squires. LOL!
*IF* this idea flies with the rest of the Society, (& this post doesn't get deleted or censored, lol), you *might* just be T.I.T. Squire #1, if Chief Beef &/or Gibson (or any other Thuakian you may know) would agree to vouch as your sponsor.

...And I wanna work my personal Sunny Squire into this somehow (she's just not aware of it yet, lol), cuz she was my very first Officer shortly after TSS began and she's getting ready to celebrate 1 million XP!

It makes me smile so much that you thought of me. Thank you so much for that. I still remember how happy I was the day you made me your personal squire and I how you dubbed me "Sunny Squire." In our little world of Castle Story play, it makes me feel special. So thanks! Who knows maybe I'm ready for Knighthood? Maybe I could graduate to Ser Sunny Knight and the interns could be the squires? (Ser because we're sticking with the GOT theme). But I'm totally good with whatever designation you feel is right.

I do like the party trialthon idea! I'll think of three actions everyone needs to take! I'm already at 998,965--up about 500 from earlier today. SOO--I'll need to get my arse in gear and post details tomorrow. But not now...I've got a date with Westworld.
