Hello all! I've been playing CS for a little while and I'm at level 10. Now I have a problem: I have several buildings I have started (particularly the marketplace), only to find that one of the parts needed to construct them is simple glue. I can't seem to figure out how to make it!

I have two workshops (the limit for level 10), but when I scroll through the list of items to craft (in all categories), there is no option to craft glue.

When I click on the proto-marketplace to see the "parts needed" and click on the green "craft" button under simple glue, I am taken to the market->buildings->crafting page, where the only two buildings available to buy are the kitchen and the workshop. But I am at my limit for workshops, and the kitchen also requires glue to construct!

Surely I am missing something obvious. Is there some way to craft glue that I have missed? Or do I need to be at a higher level?

Hi! The glues are crafted in the Potion Shop (later also in the Tinker Camp). I, however, don't recall at which level the Potion Shop becomes available for purchase in ur Market (buildings section). Hope a thread in the Game Guides can specify this for u. :)

Welcome to the game! here's a link to the game guide so you can figure out where you are in the game. There is a limit of 2 crafting buildings. You might just need to do something else, (to do with Ivy) for the potion shop to be available to purchase. Just follow the goals as they come up and you can't go too wrong. good luck! :)

go to post 6 and have a look from there as this is all the beginning goals. http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?41844-Castle-story-Goals

Thank you to both of you! Looks like I just need to forget about those buildings for a while until I finish the other goal threads. I have not yet met Ivy (I assume she's the tree/person to the north? I've been trying to avoid spoilers a bit).

Yes, that's her! Once she's freed you do a couple of other things and then you'll get the potion shop. You're doing great! :)

Sure enough, the moment I expanded to Ivy's square and spoke to her, I got the Potion Shop! Crafting lots and lots of glue now…

Thanks again!

You'll be crafting glue for lots of things, keep up the good work!

at the moment I feel like being duped into spending my virtual coins for something absolutely useless. not good feeling...when I am asked to build - I do, and get officially misguided, so it's not like a game good or bad luck, it is deceit. I want to have nice breaks at work for gathering and spending, it happens to be more strategic, complicated, not for mobile phone relaxing time.
in my opinion it is dishonest, to be guided to buy buildings you cannot have and tempted to spend real money for a short cut in believe this is the only way to have the glue.

Up to level 10, you better follow the main plot, so you don't waste precious resources. Now for using real money, it is your call. This is a game of patience no rush. If you want a quick game, try some other games. You cannot have buildings that are not for your level or game progress level. If you don't have enough coins to buy, gather first, then buy.

No goals require you to spend gems to progress the storyline. A building gem purchase might be the option at the end of certain goals, but is not required to progress.

Take your time, there honestly isn't any rush. There are a couple of Baron market requests at the beginning which are timed and if you don't finish and you've loaded some goods, you lose your resources, but apart from these couple, everything is on your schedule.

We all play this game differently and there is absolutely strategy and prioritisation needed. Find what suits you and is relaxing. Just because there is a goal in your book doesn't mean you have to do it straight away. You can wait and just build up blocks, beams and glue for as long as you want before proceeding.

well, several levels up only the glue is available, after you're asked to buy market and kitchen, it wasted time and resources, at that point you do not have the access to potion shop, clearly, it contradicts the guidance of the game and your comment.
By the way, another form of deceit is: in any game when you have a precious material the warning comes: do you really want to spend.../you are about to spend...; here, you click on collection of your coins or goods and suddenly, on this small screen where is difficult to aim properly, appears that your gems have gone for stupid actions, you'd never wanted to spend them this way. So, it is not entirely up to me to decide if I play without help of real money, game is set on lurking you to investments. I like speaking the truth and appreciate others doing the same. In other words fair play please.

In the beginning you have so many quests to do that you cannot do them all in parallel, you must decide which to do first. Otherwise you end up completely depleted. I would go for a rescue session of Ivy. Once you have her, focus on resource/production buildings at all cost (2 of each). Market and other coin buildings are not that important at this stage. You need to setup a full scale productive dominion. Once you have a steady production go for coins as you need to expend.

As for the gem trap, well this is a known "feature". I never used any real money and have all I want in this game. Just learn to be a little more cautious when harvesting.

thanks a lot, I past this already, I do have 2 more expansions beyond Ivy ;) my buildings are upgraded because I did want to have more coins (greed or thrift?), what's done cannot be undone
now it will be easy, I guess, patience is needed...
It seems nobody past level 50, is it the last one? what people do then?

You are correct, at this time level 50 is the highest. As one of those playing from almost the beginning, I remember when we were stuck at Level 30(?) gosh I don't remember now, lol, for about a year. Honestly the levels don't really mean anything except the one time energy bonus. Last time, our xps kept racking up and when TL released new levels everyone automatically leveled up to where they would have been all along AND we received awesome energy bonuses!

I mostly focus on the updates and building up my inventory. There's an unofficial goals thread somewhere that has some super cool and difficult goals to reach for. Otherwise the only thing you get once you reach level 50 is the admiration of your fellow CS addicts...and possibly rulership of the universe in a parallel universe.

This game is about patience, if you rush, you end up broke and completely locked. Hopefully not into a deadlock. The glue issue is typical, people want to run before they can even walk. Like toddlers ;)

At the start the level cap was at 30, TL raised it to 50. As I am an early CS player I had enough XP to make the jump to level 50 within seconds. After level 30, the level don't mean much as you have pretty much everything. Once you have grown and finished the main quests, you can polish your dominion. As mentioned above, look at the link in my sig, that would give you some work. Some goals can take 2 years to finish.

My current goals (except the official once):
+ Max my magic forge (need some more hair pins)
+ Max my sweet feast
