expanding without a goal

Couple of days ago I expanded to the glimmergate although I didn't get the goal and now it doesn't give me goals to open it.. How and when will I get them?
I was really excited to get it but now I worried I won't get those goals..

I think you need to expand to the Forgotten Roost (top left of map). Then at some point during that quest you will get the glimmergate quest.

Sabina, Forgotten Roost then Glimmergate. My Glimmergate quest activated the first time I tapped on the Forgotten Roost right after I got the Manti egg if I remember correctly.
