Phantom dogs and cat

Phantom dogs from the surf/summer event keep showing up all over my farm. I won one during the event but he has disappeared! the phantom ones just stand there. the hula kitty shows up in random places and appears to walk in place. what's up with this? I want my working dog back!

Restarted, now I only have one surfer dude dog but he doesn't move or respond. I visited several other farms and they all have a surfer dog standing in the same place. it has to be a glitch.

Okay, now he's back, just fed him and he's off chasing the cat:D
