2) Nope only the collectibles are redeemable...

The snowball is pretty far down in the gifts section. There's also a Santa Hat, red ribbon, & holly from the last holidays.

As PepperWoo and meme1098 mentioned, the Magic Snowball is a few pages in on the gifts page (under "All"). Keep scrolling through and you'll see it!

Badges are earned for completing various challenges in game, such as spending coins, buying tables, and tipping other players. While these do not directly reward any items, it does keep track of your in game accomplishments! Check the Badges tab on the Messages menu to see how close you are to your next badge!

Just now seeing this, but magical snowball is not present on Android devices without the old edition installed, just like the gifts for the motherly, lucky and rose ovens. So not sure if this is an oversight and it's supposed to be there, in case it was going to be used in the Christmas update and a lot of us don't have it lol.
