Well, this morning when I pulled up my battle arena, the first opponent was a metal, level 1. I had played the tourney (though fizzled out at avenger), so it wasn't left from that. It was rather curious.

By the second hour though, it reverted to regular battles -cheaper but with randomly high level opponents.

Good grief.
