Yup, it shows up in the Goals section and you have 32 days to complete this goal for the rewards. I'd reboot your game and if that doesn't work then I'd reinstall it. Hope that helps!

There's nothing particularly seasonal about the Sea Horse, so I'm just speculating that the time limit (30 days) is for the goal.

Halloween season can't be over before it's even happened, haha. Besides, we still have that world event going on! (:

I suspect that new creatures that are released from dark or earth/water/nature/fire elements will more than likely be shorter breed times... for now. However, any new lightning or new element breeds (like if they added a 'pink' element like DS) that come out will be excessively long, I wager. So, if they decide to come out with a new lightning-rare, it'll probably be around 18-20 hours to breed it. A Super will probably be 24-26 hours to breed. That's just my guess, though. No hope for TL lowering breed times all-around, I'm afraid (just look at DS and you'll start to get the picture)... just for ones they know they'd never get away with (like dark hybrids or fire/earth/water/nature hybrids) without a mass riot taking place...

For if you skip from having an Ocean Owl (Super) at just 11 hrs to breed, to a Sea Horse (Super) at 18 hrs (just an example since it's really 13hrs to breed)... yeah, that time gap is WAY too wide for people to be happy with.

I really like all forms of this animal so I'm definitely going to try for it. Just not going to use gems trying for it.... or anything else in this game again. Was trying to keep my spending in this game down and TL has helped me decided to just not spend any money on it again. ;)

Typical TL style... won't keep me from playing of couse but now they are helping me save money.

I don't think it has to do with the deep sea shooter game or the goals as I still have my from the start & this goal shows at the top right below the deep sea shooter game. Or maybe it does but I hope it's just a bug as it will be unfair to those if it does require you to finish a certain goal to get it.

I am not sure the exact "why" (they do not tell me everything! ), but sounds like the goal just went out randomly to different players.

But I got two Ocean Owl fails before getting this cutie. Please TL, can we have an expansion because it will be breaking my heart to be selling super rares that I need to maintain my earnings base to be able to afford to pay the increasing costs to remove obstacles when we do get the expansions. I am beginning to understand the idea of balance, but I am also to the point of begging for an expansion so that we can have room to place these new awesome animals! Please? Pretty Please?

I don't think I am one of the lucky ones to get the reward for breeding the Sea Horse, but I don't mind because I like the horses :D

The 5-gem goal is no big deal. (I passed up on the 3-gem Nightmare goal and didn't bother to hatch the egg until a month later.)
It is probably offered to a randomly selected group of players to test how players will respond to a time limited goal for an animal that is not itself limited. Will they breed exclusively for it? Will they spend gems to speed-breed? Will they pursue this breed as though the animal were limited? Is the 5 gems enough of an incentive? How much will players protest who don't have the goal? Will THEY pursue the animal any differently than those who have the goal?
This kind of micro-targeting is not unusual for TeamLava.

I just realized I don't have the goal on Satyr Sanctuary, but I know it was on one of the other forests; whichever one I was playing when this showed up and forced a restart of my game.

I play dragon story but i have NO intention on collecting them all. For me, just something to slowly chip away at. The long breed times are absurd. I just bred a night dragon and a white dragon and the result is a 31 hour Moon Dragon. That means 31 hours to breed, 31 hours on the nest, and then it will be 31 hours if i want i evolve it so it can breed, etc. UGH. The crafting in DS is absurdly slow too. Ive been playing for weeks now and I still dont even have 1 of the 2 large red gems to craft a basic ruby dragon.

I am not looking to collect everything in FFS either, as i was not yet lev17 for owl bear or nightmare. And i refused to pay $15 to buy the nightmare package. But ill get as many as i can :)

I find FFS way more fun than DS.

No seahorse for me yet either. But i am trying to breed a unicorn and i am always sure to throw water and nature into the mix. :)

100% chance. Every time you put that combo in, you have a big chance of getting a turtisle, and a small chance of getting one of the other water-natures. It is possible to breed 100 times and get 100 turtisles, sadly. It's all luck.

Then take a break. Breed something else for at least one round, then come back and breed the 2 elements (but not panda and FF) as obviously this isn't working for you. This strategy has worked pretty well for me. If my basic critters (meaning one element critters) don't give me the results I want, I switch to something else, and then come back with a new combo (lets say ocean owl and turtle). I also uninstall the game, I turn off my device, turn it back on and re-install FF just so to refresh my odds. Not sure if it is just a coincidence but it has worked in the past.

Yay! Just got 13 hr breeding time from frost fang and pan daffodil...having tried this several times already as well as hydro yak,ocean owl etc etc. So after a gazillion turtisles and an ocean owl,which all contributed to the pumpkin count, looks like I might have bagged me a seahorse! Keep plugging away guys and it will happen!

Some people got the quest for 5 gems for breeding this, and some people did not. I am one who did not. I tried asking in the "Current Bugs and Issues" thread in the Bugs & Issues section what are the criteria for them to determine who gets the quest and who does not. They did not even deign to acknowledge that I had asked a question no less answer me. And they answered questions after mine.

We are NOT all treated equally in this game and there is no transparency whatsoever. I'm sure we would ALL like to also get 5 gems when we get a sea horse but sadly, TL has decided only some get them, and not even telling us why some of us do not get it.

After days of trying to exclusively breed this sucker, and getting mostly Turtisle eggs, I finally found my winning combo: Unicorn x Ocean Owl.

With only ten days left on the goal timer, I managed to get it before it expires (or Sea Horse becomes 'limited'---still not sure on the details if Sea Horse is limited or not). Now on to Harvest Hedgehog and Pumpkin Panda before they expire for good...

I most definitely didn't get 32 days to do this one, I haven't even been playing the game that long, turned 17 about 36hours Ago. Is this 32 days from its release or 32 days from the moment you unlock frostfang? When I saw the quest come through I had About 1week to get it and this was when the thanksgiving animals came out and were on timers. So frustrated that I didn't get the full 32dYs to try and do the quest. Timers should really start from when you first unlock the elements, to give newer players even a remote chance at it...
