goals & collectables

I'm trying to figure out how n when more goals come about. I don't like the sweetco goals because of their price point.
How does the items in collectibles work? Seems like I have 10 of one thing, 3 of another, 8 of another & I can never find the last one. Help?

Goals come monthly on the second Wednesday of the month. Next ones November 12. But Goals are always expensive.

Yes, that's how the Collectibles work. There's one rare one on each category so you accumulate dozens of three in each category and only occasionally get the fourth for a set.

I think it would be nice if you got gems for the collectibles. I don't know about everyone else but by the time I have been playing long enough to have all the collectibles, the money you earn isn't really that significant.
