How the heck are you supposed to break the glass in the disconnected cube on the far right side? I cannot figure it out.

You can destroy the glass in that area by getting a horizontal line Gem right at the bottom or by using a Rainbow Gem on the Gem color that's currently in that box. Hope this helps, good luck!!
