Tips are worth 20 coins each. So each time someone tips you that is extra coins for you. Also gifts give you money because you sell them and get the coins for them and it costs you nothing to make.

Tipping and gifting are free. It doesn't cost you anything to tip or gift someone. As far as the green stove, that is a matter of choice...if you want to pay extra for a green stove that is up to you. It doesn't do anything special.
