Transferring my dad's bakery

Hi, this is my first time on the forums. My dad had a bakery from a few years ago. He got an iPhone 5 and gave his iPod with the bakery to someone else, who ended up breaking it. He never transferred the bakery and I was wondering if I would be able to get it transferred to a new device. The bakery was from before the password feature was added. Would we be able to get the bakery back and would we be able to access it on multiple devices in case the device it is on breaks?:confused:
