Mermaid Pond question

The question is a simple one: Is there any way or more than one way to get the Mermaid Pond aside from just buying it?

I'd very much like to have one, but if possible, I'd not spend real money. ^^;

If you just save the gems that TL give you a chance to earn through tasks etc. I don't pay for gem buildings but have 2 wizard schools, one Apple tree, one lemon tree, one Glimmerdust trove, one red trillium and one living tree. If I have my maths correct that's around 750 gems NOT paid for since May. Now heading for Mithril dragon, but may succumb to fortune teller tent, mermaid pond, maple tree or magic fruit tree first.

You can only obtain the mermaid pond by using gems.
