everytime i visit the arena, the yellow skunkipine will not show up. is this normal?

Do you have another monster hidden somewhere? Turn your sound up, and listen if you have the battle music going.

Jimboser is right - if there's a monster already in your Kingdom, no other monsters will spawn. Check your entire Kingdom for a monster (such as a Fangbeast) and make sure you've vanquished that foe before attempting to visit your Jousting Arena. :)

Yes, sometimes the music is the only way to figure out if one is hiding or not....
