I can't for the life of me beat Rogue 16....he's won against both babies and Epic champs. I don't have any diamonds :( Any ideas, guys?

Yeah I know ive been stuck on round 25 since last night. it has beaten every epic champion and I have all of them plus infinity, diamond, infinity, soccer, metal, Hercules, nynx, quetzal, and pyramid.
any other suggestions for beating Valkeryie?

I would also add try all the other single elements like Light, Water, Forest, Fire as these dragons are difficult to beat with champs which suggests they are strong against them.

Also try common dragons. Champs may take many battles to defeat so don't use your good dragons that you will need for later rounds.


If you are using a good dragon against a champ like Passion, Diamond, Champion then just reheal it every two hours and in the meantime use the common dragons and keep the good dragons out of the spa.

Sometimes a champ just takes so many battles before it will go down regardless of what you use or what other people are using. I think I did about 32 battles once but the longest I will go now is 5 battles before I ultimate. Passion is my most consistent winner so he always gets first place in the spa.

I finally won over Avenging after 10 or 12 battles, but it left me with emotional scars and now I'm so behind. It does not help that it takes multiple tries for almost every dragon even when my probability is 65% (White chocolate, Blue moon vs Obsidian.)

ooh ooh Black diamond ! I have info on that one :) if you have diamonds or diamond hybrids use them first, but other dragons who have been useful in the past include : luck / lily / guardian 10/forest / hibiscus !!

GOod luck .. keep trying those different dragons - try some of the olympus ones too - you just never know :)
You could also try some of your White/Green combos, such as White rose, pegasus etc .. something might work .. Keep trying :)

Hi Loki - you cant get your dragons above Level 10 .. the tournament can. This is why the higher they are the less chance your dragons have of getting them down .. it all adds to hte 'fun' .. umm .. did I just say that ?

hey sweetie :) I got obsidian down with White magic and my older daughter got him down with Dream - try white/blue like blue moon, gargoyle (which you should have its a recent mining one) or white magic :)

LOL! Maybe you should put your dragons on a "spin the wheel" device. I know what you mean. It's hard to know in advance which one is going to do the trick on your island.

I think that having a limit in mind, of how many times you battle before ultimating a dragon is a good idea. I finally won over Avenging after 10 or 12 battles, but it left me with emotional scars and now I'm so behind. It does not help that it takes multiple tries for almost every dragon even when my probability is 65% (White chocolate, Blue moon vs Obsidian.)
I think it's the other way around: I plan and check in advance how my chances are for the whole tournament. Then, I ulti the 15% and 10% dragons first time I encounter them in the arena. That way it gives me a lot benefits:
* no long lines for the spa
* no emotional scars (yes, I know how it feels to loose time after time after time...)
* more time for the other rounds, so easier to finish in time

This way I rarely have to ulti the last round, usually it's just round 20 and round 25 - even if round 30 is a lvl 20 Super Rare Champion, I have more than enough time to throw in whatever I like and still make it. So each tournament only costs me 60 gold - which I make easily in 14 days.

Sorry I can't post rarely any update on my tourney: I've been having migraine for the last days (started tuesday evening, right at the time the tourney started) and tho I do battle (and my hubby battles in the mornings), I can't get myself to sit behind the computer to keep track of my wins and losses. I mainly followed the calculator. Still having an empty spa :)

have you tried very low level babies ?
Metal, soccer, pyramid - how about olympus ? You just have to keep healing and trying again .. intersperse whatever dragon is getting closest with level 1-3 babies, then your line at the spa will be less hopefully :) Good luck !

That's a strategic way of looking at it. Now that you mention it I could get the gold back in about 4 days as my Treasure dragons give 15 per day. You put some good thought into this. Thanks a lot!

Thnx, migraine is gone for another 3 weeks, so I can rest and live normal now :) Sound, light, smell, all unbearable, so no screens for me in those days. Tourneys I never skip, tho it usually takes longer to finish in weeks I have migraine, and all other TL games I put long-time stuff on, preferably 2 day-crops etc. They have a grace time of 2 days, so I don't have to look at it for a whole 4 days, and since my migraine comes up slowly and "only" lasts for max 3 days, it's a perfect match ;)

With my tactics on using ulti I've never ever lost a tournament - just once when I had done a major buy (bought a Gilded for 300) I didn't have enough gold to ulti the needed rounds, and I didn't even try that one very hard, got to round 20, but didn't have any diamonds back then too. It's still hurting that I missed out on that one. But, the Gilded gives me 5 gold a day, so it was well worth it.

Dunno how Prism will go, will meet him in 5 minutes for the first time ;)

@Carbuck: I'm a very strategical player, I use tactics on almost every part of the game and tho you wouldn't say it, DS is a very tactical game... both in early gaming (lvl 1-50), as in mid-game (51-115), as in late-game (116-150). This way I also never missed out on any event, in any TL game (I even got all the Prye dragons in DS, and the last individual prize in the world event in DS), without having too much stress. For example, I had made my hubby make a program to calculate which dragons I should put in what habitat, to make the most money in the least time, without having one habitat being filled within an hour, and the other taking up to 3 hours.

@Carbuck: I'm a very strategical player, I use tactics on almost every part of the game and tho you wouldn't say it, DS is a very tactical game... both in early gaming (lvl 1-50), as in mid-game (51-115), as in late-game (116-150). This way I also never missed out on any event, in any TL game (I even got all the Prye dragons in DS, and the last individual prize in the world event in DS), without having too much stress. For example, I had made my hubby make a program to calculate which dragons I should put in what habitat, to make the most money in the least time, without having one habitat being filled within an hour, and the other taking up to 3 hours.

I am up to Round 20 - two losses so far. I am reading with interest what people have used but not liking the options for my island (eg: Pyramid, Soccer, Metal are rubbish on my island). I like the comment about closing my eyes and selecting a dragon - that's how these rounds feel!

Yes it is frustrating. Try something that is lying quiet.
Like spellthorn or Celestial or anything quite new.
I always use different Champions too; like my Amazon always rescues me too.

Me too.i dont want to ultimate round 22 black diamond and maybe another 2-3 more ultimates on later rounds since the prize is only a yellow/green hybrid.if i get it w/o using ultimate fine.if not, its not really a big loss since i still have parakeet, wildflower, jewelry and cactus to name a few.i just want the rings to craft the winddancer dragon and hopefully get past round 25 to get 5 extra golds and thats it.that's why i only use the babies so when tourney is over, all my epic dragons are available in the regular battle.well, this is just my opinion and maybe others have different perspective but no offense meant guys...good luck to all of us...let's continue to fight till time runs out.....happy fighting....

They throw in these 10% roadblocks and make it a huge time waster or gold vacuum to win.

In two accounts both are over 10 losses on this lame level 20 opponent..

Makes me not even want to participate..it is a computer trapped percentage game.

It's gotten pretty nasty now that I'm into the 20s. Wildflower pushed my patience - after seven losses I used Bash-Bash-Ultimate to win the eighth battle. Seven difficult opponents to go but three days to get them - I'm fairly optimistic I'll complete the tournament this time.

I haven't been able to breed Astromancer so Crusader took out my frustration on him. One hit of magic was all it took. Thanks Crusader. :)

For those stuck on Rogue I had good luck with yellow element. I beat Rogue in two tries in this tournament with epic Seabreeze after epic Air lost. I beat Rogue in the Rogue tournament with epic Air on 4th try but losses were close with dragons with yellow element.

Don't know if this will help anyone, just passing on what worked for me.

I tried air that didnt work :( just tried aether an that also didnt work 2 im running out of patience with it now...iv enough for one ulti saving for rd25 ha...2days seriously i knew it would be hard cz i couldnt beat him on the rogue tourney but this is getting beyond a joke now

I only ever beat this dragon with Quetzal and Diamond. I would just keep rehealing.....maybe try baby forests as well.
