Can't purchase any item that requires assembly...

Can someone please tell me why I can't purchase anything that needs building? When I try, there's just a Hooray pop up that tells me it requires assembly with help from friends.

Be careful when tapping it and try not to touch the hammer icon, which is causing the pop-ups. Just tap anywhere else on the appliance icon and it should allow you to place the box down like any other purchased item.

I tap in the upper left corner by the coin. Then you should be able to place it and ask for parts.

My game does this sometimes. I have had luck by holding down the icon and dragging the stove to place it.
