Got maps! Fully expanded here and while I'll enjoy the fact that its free, there's no way I'd ever ever ever spend any of my gold on this while it has a chance (and usually a huge chance if its anything like the other wheels) to give out useless map. One single coin or apple would be a better prize than maps for the many players who are fully expanded.

I've never spent gold on the wheel because of this and never will until this gets changed :) Thank you for the free wheel though!

i'm here to tell you how much i dislike this spin the stupid wheel thing. it doesn't matter if i spend tons of gold or i just wait almost a day to "spin" the wheel because everytime i get food, coins or maps. I have 4 account and i tried this feature. So long i got these "awesome" stuff:

main account : 700 food
my gf's main account: 700 food
2nd account, lvl 34: 400 food
3rd account, lvl 24: 1 map

Oh my word, they have black rose. I want her! Ill go check my other two islands to see if my luck will be more improved. I also need porcelain. From the last wheels, I have four stupid sea breezes, SIX mermaids, four Germany dragons and won two of the magician dragon. Whatever it was called from the last spin thingy. Hehe i fully agree, quite useless event even if ofc what junk you get from it is free junk! I did get Forestfire that i didn't have from one of these wheels (i even got 2 of them which ofc was quite unnecessary) but the latter ones have given nothing at all - and the poor winning chances doesn't make it attractive to spend gold on extra spins either. Ah well, again - it is free junk we're getting.

Hmm...i am a bit unfair though, this first spin gave 5200 apples which tbh really isn't junk at all, it just feels like it! :)

I am with those of you who plan to use the free spins but not spend gold (though it is sooooo tempting!!). Then I save any unneeded dragons and put them in the nest to hatch when there is an event like the recent "dragons in space." Easy to earn extra stars (or whatever) that way, then sell 'em (or evolve if I need bombs for the mine...)

hi Mak ! yeah, it's FREE and it will stay that way for me ! not going to spend gold because last time when i did spend some gold, i got food and maps. I almost forgot about the forestfire dragon ! i got it as well, it's still in the storage. that's the only dragon i got so far from those spinning wheels.

an off topic question: how much longer will DS be around ? i'm almost running out of space ! and i still need space for decorations and the new space habitat.

I like the wheel, I really do. I've had a lot of luck getting 1 or 2 dragons off it per event, including back when Clockwork wasn't breedable. I just wish that maps weren't a prize and that the dragons from previous community events weren't prizes. I can't imagine anyone being overly excited by winning a Falling Leaf or Cirque dragon.

I also really love the wheel thing even when I get stuff I don't need. I just think it is fun and free and I have gotten a few dragons before. I am hoping for a porcelain dragon and will probably get maps and apples but I am no worse off than if there was never a wheel. I just wish the wait wasn't quite so long for another spin. They should def take the chance of winning maps off. On my less than level 12 account I can win 20 gold, like when this first started. But on my large island i have the useless maps i dont need. Which reminds me, i have so many ive won i can probably fully expand the ice island now.

It's really just a refined goldtrap, where they let us step into the trap without the help of lag or purposedly ill placed buttons, but that's really what it's all about in games like this and besides filling the devs pockets it's ofc what allows us to have the game to play at all - no profit, no play.

Still, i think more would enjoy the spin wheel if winning chances were tweaked a bit - i've gotten nothing fun from last two wheels but it's ok, it has been "free nothings" :) - but those who desperately pay money for gold, to buy extra spins - will they do that again next time? Some will, we're only human after all, but many will spot the goldtrap in event and refuse to do that. And for us who don't want to spend gold in first place since we're not getting any goodies from the free spins, if we had a better winning chance and got a dragon here n there - i know i would definetly use what gold i had collected to buy more spins, and many with me - and you'd have a bunch of us starting to buy more gold since it was actually worth it.

And finally in my rant (i have a cold and nothing better to do, sorry) - if you don't like the spin wheel do spin it - there's a few free spins and a minimal chance to still get something fun....well, i guess one has to be really silly and stubborn to not use those spins even if disliking the event.

Hehe it is free for sure, that is correct, but it still could be more fun - maybe it's just me but i like improvements even on things that are already good. As for updates every week that's great if into spending money on the game, but for me personally i'd do just fine without the constant spam of new dragons for example, somehow i think i'd enjoy being able to keep up with the game, or being close to it at least. But i know we're supposed to spend gold to keep up ofc so i cannot complain about that - i would however prefer this fantastic free spin wheel event to more often give out some free fun rewards though! :)

Maps: I don't have any use for them, I've discovered every piece of both my normal and Arctic Islands.
Coins: I have over 40.000.000, and make more than I can use in any way.
Gold: always welcome, but also, 30 gold is 1 battle in the arena, not very impressive. Besides, I make atleast 10 gold a day, so 30 is not that much to me.

I wish we could trade dragons, I just got another falling Leaf. So far I got 2 Falling Leaves, 4 maps and 700 food. Less food and maps since I can get those but would really love a Porcelain, Pink Lotus or a Balck Rose.

I'd say avoid spending gold on something with such lousy odds as the spin wheel - it is just another lottery, and perhaps your friends were lucky playing it, but most of us aren't.

5th spin: a few apples - never a bad thing but more free than fun.

I'm certain the spin wheel just isn't a spinning wheel that randomly may give out any reward to any player - you could't control how much or little profit the event gives that way, so surely there are other mechanics behind it all rather than just pure luck - and why not, without profit they can't keep the game running, so...

Anyway, my 6th spin gave coins...was it 250k maybe, i just added it to the pile, but the spin wheel acted funny - or maybe it was just showing off its ceramic discbrakes - when it was cruising along and then hit an eyeball-launching full stop at the coins, just before Pink Lotus! Hehe maybe it wasn't a TL hamster pulling emergency brake, but it did look odd! Well well, let's just blame lag! :D

This some bull. I just spent over 500 gems trying to get any dragon and nothing. I hate the spin wheel. This wheel is rigged. All I get 2 maps, or food, always bypassing the dragons. I WANT SOME DRAGONS.

Already better than the last time, but Falling Leaf was easily the dragon I didn't care about from this set. I would REALLY like to get the Rose or the Lotus.

I've never been lucky with this spin wheel. If I do get a dragon it's typically ones I already have- I got 5 seabreezes once. 5! I already had it to boot! So this time around I got a falling leaf (have) then maps and more maps. I have black ros? already but porcelain and that pink lotus would be great! The big cheese for me is that cirque 3 headed darling! I've wanted him since the world event. I had everything done and only needed 20 tickets for that dragon, the last one for me to get in the event. I was going to get up the morning of the final day and tend to my island and that should have finished the job. I was running late for an appointment that morning and I couldn't get service where I was and had to wait till my appt. was over & by that time so was my world event & my chance for this dragon. Heartbroken!!
I just landed this dragon & happy dance all around! Whew! It almost makes up for me falling back asleep Friday am with one, ONE battle left to get my 99 ball things to craft the dragon. I woke up, did my battle, went to craft & all

Got a black rose today. As I already have one, I will be able to trade it for a large black gem and I will finally be able to craft Onyx. That means I know have all the gemstone dragons, Jade and tigers eye. Yay.

Thank you so much TL this wheel has given me two dragons I didn't have - Black Rose and Falling Leaf - in all the previous wheel events the best I ever had was one dragon (twice with one a new one for me) so this wheel has been heaps better luck. If you watch the wheel carefully as it spins, you can see a small screen flick - a sight enlargement perhaps - of the picture approximately one rotation before it stops, allowing you to determine what it will stop on.

This information does not help or hinder the wheel's function in any fashion, but it is there.

I have used this trick now to accurately predict 18 spins of the wheel on 8 different accounts. I have not missed once! Too bad I'm not a "gambling sort of guy", or I could reap a windfall from my friends with this.

Final spin gave me a 3rd dragon, and dragons are much nicer getting than maps or coins - ofc i didn't get any dragons i didn't already have, but at least the 2 Porcelain dragons means i'll be able to craft a Quartz dragon using the pink gems, so this spin wheel event was definetly less useless than they usually are, woot! :)

I think a lot of this is a matter of perspective, to be quite honest.

I started on this game quite a long time ago (how old this forum account is is how long I have been playing DS) and took a break from it quite some time ago which left me at level 45 with crafting and trading just only opened up.

That said, ANYTHING on the wheel would have been loved including food, maps, and coins... but I guess that's because I still have a long way to go with collecting Dragons, expanding, feeding them to level them up, etc.

I ended up getting two Falling Leaf Dragons in addition to coins and food (no maps! - argh!) and I love them since they remind me of my favorite Common Dragon - the Life Dragon - but I also don't have the room for them so one of them is still sitting in storage.
