Earning stars

I am on case 8 and have earned all of the stars, 5 each for the three scenes, but don't see how to earn more stars to solve the case that is only 67% complete. Basically I am stuck at this point with full energy and no way to progress. I need a star to question a suspect but have no way to earn it! More than frustrated! Thoughts?

To progress in Cases where it appears that you have already earned all of the Stars, please try revisiting previous Cases that you have not completed and earned Badges for. Completing all the stars for a Scene will award you Badges that you can use to unlock additional Scenes.
