Anyway what I want the most is the Tropical Paradise display from last year. I didn't have enough gems to get it at the time and I really wish I could have it.

Thank you for informing me of last year's Black Friday offer. As I have just started playing Fashion Story this year, I am not aware of last year's exact offer. May I please note that these are my personal wish items and I do not wish to have my opinions weighted any more important than another person. The developers will more likely go for the popular vote or what they have already decided. I have noticed my opinion is minority, but I wish to be treated with respect as I show for you.

This accusation is unnecessary. As it is my money that I may spend, I simply highlighted for what items I personally feel worth. If TeamLava do not offer the items, they will not be at loss since others will still enjoy their offer. I just won't. Please treat my post with more respect. Yeah, sadly some of those items were offered not only last Black Friday, but AGAIN around Mothers day. I think the Diamond Ring display was offered a third time in there too, (because there have been 3 open box offers, one recently). So even if you weren't around for last Black Friday, I assumed you would have seen it. But everyone has been playing different amounts of time, I can see that was a silly assumption on my part.

Well, we will all get whatever they decide. Based on passed sales of this nature, I don't think they take threads like this one in to account at ALL. There are about a dozen displays everyone has been asking for forever (such as Aquarius Fountain, Pucker Up Display, and Spider Silk, and many of the ones on the first page of this thread), but we never see them. Just the Denim Display and Perfectly Posh...again....lol.

Anyway, so sorry if my comment came off snotty. I would LOVE the Eclectic Runway for instance as well!
I hope you get something you like, too. :)

Hahahaha. Snort.....! I can't imagine how many displays I wouldn't have if I'd felt that way, for their offering that denim display 50 times since it's release. I can't see it being so popular, above everything else they have for us, that they would bring it back time and time again.

Last year was a huge let down. I wouldn't be shocked if some displays are well over 80 gems for some 1st place items. Two years ago I got the holiday fountain for 70+ gems. Basic ones have been the same price just a month ago.

I too would like to see it again, I'd buy two of them! I have a second shop with limited displays and a bunch of space I can't keep filled. She needs a ton of work and I'd buy $100 worth of gems to fix it up. For my main shop I don't worry about money. She wants what she wants and I've been known to blow too many gems on boxes.

I'm sorry to say I'm selfish too when it comes to the artistic fountain. Seriously I spent more real money over the course of an entire year numerous times trying for it. I lost count and sold off for coins dozens of pink ottomans and dressing rooms. Really CRAZY for me It had to be $250.00 or more for that pixel fountain in my shop. I hope it stays in the box forever. lol

I hear all the time about how much people really seem to want the Glamour Display (I'm not complaining about hearing people talk about this I have personal fav LTOs also) but I would have to say the glamour display is not all that glamorous itself here are MY opinions on this display... I have a smaller shop and I feel as if this display takes up to much room, you have to place it against the wall and it leaves little room for wall decor and doors. Not a lot of items really go with the theme of the display and I find the models to be taller and much larger than other display models. One last thing is that the display Usually glitches for me and it overlaps the surrounding tables/decor. Other people may disagree with me on all of this but I thought some people might like to hear this. Thanks for reading:)

I agree. I have the Glamour Display and don't actually display it that often! I much prefer the 3x3 sizes. I wouldn't mind the larger displays so much if they allowed us to expand our boutiques to more sizes beyond the current ones available. Mall Santa was one of the better goals for sure Christmas 2012. They should put it for sale lot's of players that started after 2012 want it. I was lucky and playing at the time. However I'm sure it would have a high price tag of at least 70 GEMS.

I'm sorry to say I'm selfish too when it comes to the artistic fountain. Seriously I spent more real money over the course of an entire year numerous times trying for it. I lost count and sold off for coins dozens of pink ottomans and dressing rooms. Really CRAZY for me It had to be $250.00 or more for that pixel fountain in my shop. I hope it stays in the box forever. lol

I think thats a sensible reaction, not selfish. When someone spends tens n tens of gems on a box, how can they be happy to have the coveted item offered for a bunch of gems? If we want a particular item from a box, we should only get it by opening that box regular way.

Sorry, but not everyone is made out of money to be wasting insane amounts on game pixels, so all of us normal people actually appreciate these are and limited time offers that TL gives us.

And yes if you don't want others to have something you already have just because you may spent more to get it,that's selfish.In real life don't you buy clothes, shoes etc that others may buy them with 50% discount on sales? I stopped opening many boxes because of this. If that gray and white display from the plaid box isn't available I'll buy extra gems to try for it then.

I think that people who pay a lot in gems to be one of the first players with an item, partly pay for the privilege and status. Neighbours will always admire and comment on rare items. A few months later, if someone else gets the item for a discount (or even for free) that's not a problem because while they might get the item, they don't get any of the bragging rights since many more people would have that old item by now.

It's only if TL release a box and then in the next week's update put all it's contents out for a discount that I think the early adopters are entitled to a refund of the difference. They've only done this once or twice in their games, and only when it was apparent from the forum chatter that the price was too high that nobody (or virtually nobody) was willing to pay it.

I definitely agree. Offering boxes at half price for BF would be a good way to satisfy all players: both those who cant afford to buy gems n those who spent gems on boxes n find it unfair to see an item offered for 30 gems while they spent 3x24 gems or more to get it

How exactly is that fair to all players? It's definitely not fair for those who can't pay for gems or buy many gems. You probably don't realize this since apparently you can afford to drop massive amounts of money on pixels, but for those who can't afford to do so, being able to buy a couple of discounted displays to decorate their shops with for the whole entire year is definitely something worth singing about. For instance, if a person can afford to buy/save up say 50-80 gems to buy 2-3 discounted displays to work with for the rest of the year, they're not gonna drop all their gems on opening a box 2-3 times, which usually results with just a few small 4th place items. If you can afford more, then go ahead and splurge on boxes and redecorate your shop every week, but don't put down the rest of the players just because you can. That's just selfish. Instead, just let people enjoy what little accomplishes they can achieve for their shops and enjoy it. This is what this game is all about, it's not a competition of who spends more money on boxes or who got more items.

Im used to being considered the big bad wolf or the bogeyman here but ty dear i appreciate. exactly!!! i dont understand why people thought i was selfish when I just tried to be sensitive. I remember last year 1st prizes from boxes cost 49 gems, which is quite expensive. If boxes were offered at half price, players could gamble 4 times for the same amount and i'm sure many players would love that. Plus, I'm pretty sure not all players, esp newer ones, can't afford to spend 49 gems for BF. But apparently a couple of people over here dont care about those players who cant afford to pay so much, so why not offer every player the possibility to spend what they can spend, either discounted boxes or 49gem items? - oh but yes, I almost forgot: I'm the one who is selfish of course......

no one necessarily has 50 gems to spend for BF.... things are different for me now but i remember when i started playing i would have loved to open a box for 12 gems and im sure many starters who didnt manage to get more than 20 gems would love it too we must stop considering BF as high level players but wish TL could offer items affordable to anyone

Maybe it's all the people who complained about opening boxes is why we got nothing this year. Even the LTO's weren't all that worthy of buying, most of it I already have, so I didn't even bother buying gems this year. Was too busy to think about buying gems and scrolling through the LTO area in the game didn't show anything I wanted, so I forgot to buy gems just to have them, now the discounted gem sale is gone, oh well.

Also, in the closet I only saw that ugly old hairdo that I wouldn't buy even when it's on sale and some old sweater that I didn't care for. Was there anything else closet-wise?
