Hey everyone, this week's update is the first part of a two week storyline. Castle Story is turning two! Bring out your Jousting Arenas because we're throwing a tournament to celebrate.

As always, the new questline will be available at 12:00 PDT. You must have completed the first Castle Anniversary questline in order to see this one! (If you have a LV 3 Jousting Arena, you're probably good to go).

You are not far behind PurpleScorpion. You will be able to catch up fast.The jousting arena takes another 12 hours to get collected from after being taking out of storage anyway. I know because I have just taken out mine.

Going onto a cruise tomorrow but hopefully I will be able to play anyway :)

What good Luck that i just today started to ASK for fur for my Amphitheater... It is Not going to be Build for the next weeks though.

My arena will be ready in One Hour, my knights will be back tomorrow in the afternoon.... Now is the Time to wait and See.
Collect some more hide. Some wool, what are those animals going to eat? WE will See.

Was busy with Plants for Belladonna, which requires an almost unlimited amount of fertilizer and the Faerie Flower bed, which also requires 30 fertilizer - and I only have 23... So those 2 quests will be halted for the next week I guess.

Quick question about skunkupines: I very rarely get a skunkupine these days. What do I need to do for them to appear?

Sugarcane and wheat are usually good. Occasionally they pop out of the flowers when you're looking for petals.

The ropes won't show up in the workshop until you get to the actual goal that needs the rope. If you're already there, delete and reinstall the app. If that doesn't work, send support an e-mail.

I got tired of waiting for the ole skunkupines, during the festival, so I used my SKUNKUPINE trap. Worked like a charm!

I had to get a ton of skunkupine tails for a storyline recently. I had the best luck with repeatedly checking:

Pepe le Skunkupine (tame skunkupine from an old Ivy quest)
Red flowering bush (bought around Valentine's day to get red petals; it often spawns a love-cupine, not sure if those will count)
Wheat, corn, tomato, and sugar crops

This quest sounds like a lot of fun. Have 7.5 hrs to go on my arena. Actually set my alarm for MN ! Have made a lot of the other stuff while constantly playing sunstone quest.

Do we only get credit for the adventure upon returning from the quest, or did I miss out by not being in the goal & clicking "Go"???

Something else is going on. She would have the goals in her book (to check the arena) if she had the update. Don't think you should spend anymore gems until you have a goal pertaining to this update.

Happy Anniversary CS! I was so happy yesterday afternoon to remember that there was a new quest; then delighted to see that it was actually achievable without undue trauma. I was also happy to know that I don't have to release the kraken, er trapped Loveupine, until step 6.

The adventure disappeared afterwards, so it's not permanent.

After returning from the Wilderness Adventure, it registered as completed on that part of the goal and disappeared. I no longer have it available.

I really like that new reward screen, too! So easy to see what kind of loot you got from an adventure. It hasn't become part of our "regular" adventures (at least for me.) I wish it would, though!

I got 6 iron ore, 5 energy, and 1 earth wisp from the new adventure. Not to complain, but it seems a bit paltry compared to shambalaya's, lol! ;) (JK)

I'm still stuck at "Ask for Skunk Solvent", but I guess that will be finished tomorrow: I got 23 answers today (which is weird: I thought you could only get 20-21 a day?).

I realy like Ivy this time, I think she's about to dye a skunkupine, which is very charming :). So far I'm liking this update, more than the world event.

Yes I'm pretty sure it was thrustons quest line right? The only things is my goals is Sabrina's quest line and farie and the cooking caravan so ya I'm pretty sure everything is done I have no idea why it won't work

I took a look at the original 1st Anniversary quest. Yes, it's Thurston's. The last goal is called "Champion Thurston", where you dub him the champion of the jousting tournament. None of this makes sense (why you don't have this update.)

This is the link for the Jousting Arena questline info. I posted it previously and it was copied to post #2 but has been removed from there. It looks like these are the bits people have questions on; I copied from the quest to upgrade arena to level 3 until the end of the questline. If all of these are complete, then the 2nd anniversary quests should show up.

Not reading the whole thread because I don't want everything to be known, like the suprise factor but I so dislike the ask Neighbor things. I have asked a ton of neighbors but only have 22 back. So frustrating that you're dependent on others playing and clicking to send to you. Don't like these kind. I don't mind visiting neighbors but waiting for them to respon not so much. And too many gems to skip.

Mine was similar to shambalaya's: energy, earth wisps, gem. Not sure what else.

You can only get that number of requests back per day. It's not that your neighbours aren't accepting the request.

It's the same for everyone.

When you send lots of requests at the same time the system gets stuck! I myself don't send more than 23 a day. Many have problems before when asking over 30 at once.

Awwwww! I have an eternal membership for DragonCon, but due to health issues I have not made the last 2. Good news is that I got to go to about 15 of them. Best Con ever!!!

I have been having major challenges with Skunkupines. I picked every flower in my garden as swiftly as I could at one go, then waited for my energy to completely refill and had a go at my garden plots and not a skunkupine to be had. :-(. Boars are giving me kittens too. I cannot finish the Troll quest because I cannot get Boar Pelts. I think I have a developmentally challenged game. :P

Hi Perry. You get the boar pelts from going to the Feral Lands adventure. As for skunkupines I found the best way is to plant wheat or corn and when you reap them a skunk will appear.

I have finally finished this (rushing through as usual) and yes, this appears to be one of those random drop things. I admit that as expensive as it was, I bought the piece of whatever it is. The good news is that there is plenty of time to finish this while waiting for the random drop, unless you are remarkably unlucky or there is an unknown glitch. Remember, I just finished the whole week worth, so don't stress now.

Everything is doable as far as I can tell, and I haven't seen others stuck on this deep mine drop, and I doubt everyone bought their way past it, so while it seems to be a random drop, in other words you are lucky if you get it on your first deep mine collection, don't get upset at this point because it doesn't seem to be one of those ultra rare drops.

My admittedly useless because I will be jumped on and beat up no matter what I say, but my recommendation is to chill and enjoy this one. (and plant wheat or corn and hold off on tending livestock until you get near the end when you will want skunkies and fang beasties to trip over then)

Yea...midnight Pacific time is reset time for Team Lava games. So if your in Europe you could conceivably get all yours in your day since the game resets during your day.

I'm in the Central time zone and 2 hrs ahead of Pacific so my day is a lot closer to TLs day and only got back 20 the first day of requests (forgot & sent Stormies request with all the others instead of waiting til the 20 came in). Then I sent out more the 2nd day and got the rest. So if your day overlaps when TLs games reset, then in your day you could get a lot more than 20 during your day..


I was able to collect the mystery fragment on my fourth trip to a level 5 deep mine.

Oh boy, so a bit of a wait on that part of the quest. Just hit it this morning so I'll try not to be disappointed the first few collections.

Me too! I was pleasantly surprised. Then when it came time to hunt monsters, it took only one harvest of sugar to get my first skunkupine. I am currently sitting at 2 skunkupines and 2 fangbeasts and waiting.

This is what I did (assuming you mean clicking on "mine" in the quest book to take you to the mine to collect from it, rather than just randomly collecting from it) and it worked, only my 4th try too (I only have one deep mine).

Have you finished the "Champion Thurston" quest at the end of the Jousting Arena questline? If you don't know for sure, list off the goals in your goal book and I'll cross-check with the goal thread (link at bottom of post #2) and see if that's the issue.

With no timer, I would think you could finish whenever...I came along a few months after 1st anniversary and the jousting arena was just folded in with the Thurston line. I guess the 'two weeks' is just a timeline for deployment and not really a timer. Just a thought...I'm not in the know :)

No, not strawberries (dire boar) and indeed not tomatoes (skunk).
Try the animals: cows and chickens mainly, but also farmer house, and I believe the stable and hatchery as well, but don't know for sure.

I have two mines, level 4 and level 5. Four tries and nothing yet.

I'm up to close to a dozen on two level five mines are some of us going to have to forgo this or pay gems?

Bummer! But at leasy you did get the useful piece for it. I recently lost 50 gems speeding up one of my 6 dragons... totally useless.

DrP4ever: man that really stinks! I fell victim to a gem trap yesterday...accidentally tapped a building twice. But luckily it was "only" like 8 gems. To lose 50 that way is really unfair!
CS/TL: players have been BEGGING for a fix to gem traps for months and months! We are happy to spend gems on intentional purchases...must you steal them from us this way? A simple "Are you sure you want to use these gems?" message is all that's needed. Please listen on this one! What happened to DrP4ever is simply not right.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get skunkupines? I have been harvesting wheat, sugar cane, corn, mushrooms, flowers...nothing. Is there any sure fire way other than a skunkupine trap, which is the same cost as just skipping the item....

Do you have little Pete? He sometimes summons them...

Got the mystery fragment on my first (or second go)! Holding off on collecting from the deep mine paid off :D I'm not sure if it was the first or second but somehow I've still got one mystery fragment in my inventory even after giving one to the quest goal :confused:

Part 2 coming up tomorrow but I won't be done yet since I'm still digging in the deep mines for that elusive, maybe nonexistent, mystery fragment. Would've loved to put that last part in all caps but I'm just to worn out from pounding all those darn rocks.

This week is only part one so i did not expect to get an reward. Hopefully after next week when full chain is done we get a visible reward. After all, WHO expected a fully grown goddess tree after part one of the blythewood sampling :)

Well, after countless tries, I finally got that darn mystery fragment. My body needs a long, long rest though after pounding so many rocks in the deep mines over the last 6 days. Keep giving it your all guys. It will eventually pay off.
Now my fangbeasts & skunkupines have gone missing, of course, because I need them to spawn.:D
