I believe it's the anniversary, so I would imagine so. But I'm no expert. Hoping so though I'm maxing my stocks best I can.

I really don't have much at all stocked up. I never do. If I wanted to stock up on stuff, I would not progress in the game at this stage and I already feel like I am so far behind the curve for my level.

A gem sale has popped up on my game today. Usually this indicates something nice coming up soon where those gems might come in handy :)

Being a fairly newbie I hadn't noticed the connection but mine has too!

It is not necessarily connected, especially because gem sales are not for everyone at the same time. But very often I have found myself regretting not making use of that gem sale once it was over because right then there were badly needed for some nice update.

I used to stock up nearly every time I got a gem scale.

Then a single gem trap ate over 400 of my gems.

I don't stock up any more. It's not actually stocking up if the game steals that money out from under you in a gem trap and support flat out refuses to even acknowledge that it's wrong of them no less make restitution.
