I think I need the barracks to do the desert quests from my castle.

I know I can buy it for a few hundred gems, but I don't have that many.

Is there a time in the story line that I can get a barracks without gems? Or do I have to save up for it for the next several months?

The desert sands quest can be done from the king's keep / queen's court once the quest to unlock it is done. I do not remember what that quest is but I'm sure someone else will soon, and post it. There is nothing that the barracks does that the KK/QC does not. The barracks is never necessary to progress.

The only way we can acquire the Barracks is from gems only.

Adventure from king or queen's keep takes 22 hours

For barracks, does it take 44 hours or 48 hours..

It takes 46 hours IRC (24 + 22). I don't send out much my knights through the barracks now a days, unless a quest requires it.

One only. With the keep you can do 2 adventures in parallel.

that's too bad.. i was so looking forward to running 3 adventures simultaneously haha
