On bakery story after you have done all the running around to complete the task you are rewarded with a new oven, so I didn't expect to be [I]rewarded[I] on farm story with the option to spend my own money on a pet. If I'd've known this from the start I could have helped you out by selling my shears.

Oh well, I've learnt not to do farm story tasks. I'll be selling my remaining 3 coconuts in 5 minutes. Rant over! :cool:

Everyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there's a series of 3 goals for each pet.

I agree, CottageRose. I am on track to get both pets (got the cat, and I'm baking pies and cooking curries up a storm over here!). It's possible to do without spending any gems.
It wasn't easy, as I didn't have many coins in the bank (expanding as fast as I could buy paperwork), spending them to buy products to complete deliveries. But I made it. Now I'm just trying to help out. :)

Oh no, it definitely wasn't easy. I'll be glad when this is over so I can go back to my regular life. ;) I have been doing this for way too many days, and I've had a perma-headache for awhile from looking at my small screen. I just wanted to make it clear that you didn't HAVE TO spend gems. Gems would certainly help, but you'd need a bunch of them to make these goals easier.

i was able to get the dog in one acct. ( don't think if i try for cat i will make it)
and on this acct trying for the cat still trying to make hula skirt and leis ( i have 2 leis cooking and 2 skirts cooking) still need one more lei and 6 more skirts)

When you get it you should have gotten 2 free bags of pet feed. Once it stops roaming you need to swipe the bucket over it to collect coins,etc and then feed it so that it walks around your farm until the next collection time.

There are 2 days left to this event. You can still get the dog if you really want it.
