The update tomorrow is for all players LV 10+ - it's a new type of event for Castle Story, so we're giving everyone a few weeks to complete it. After that, well... it's our 2nd anniversary (wow!) Folks who have completed our 1st anniversary update should have access to this questline :) (LV 22+).

After that, we're going back to the end game for a little while, until our seasonal events begin (Halloween!). This isn't set in stone, but it should give you a rough idea of what to expect from us.

I don't think we'll be getting an update today. Sounds like the next update is the anniversary update at the end of the month.

The Tell your neighbors part doesn't seem to be working. When I tap visit, and pop hearts, my count does not go up.

ETA: It seems it does not work with neighbors but does work by visiting community... even if they have no hearts to pop - credit 1 per community member visited.

At first I was like 'what the heck are you talking about?' But then I realized this must be adjustable for what's in your kingdom meaning I don't have Greselda so she's not building a tent in my kingdom so I didn't get that quest. Just chuckling at my momentary confusion...:)

For me this was a very easy update, a nice way to get rid of some excess inventory and earn some sunstones. I actually think the first community prize is very cute.

I appreciate the new Pyre Tent goals and the trove of Sun Stones they offer. That said, Greselda's request for 10 Dark Seeds and 10 Glimmer Trap Plants is exorbitant given how difficult it is to earn both of those items. Thomas, Ivy, and Sabina have already gotten their requests while I have been happy to reap those Sun Stones; Greselda has been told to pound sand.

These quests might be interesting, and useful if folks are behind and want to finish all 3000 sun stones. However, with 7 days out of 18 past, if you are over 1200 sun stones, you can likely finish without these new quests. (3000/18~=167 sun stones per day, times 7.25 days past is just over 1200 to be on track.)

I love the update :-) We have an unlimited time for the inscriptions so I don't mind giving up the dark seeds. All the quests including the main one end in the same time frame which makes sense when you think of it because they all involve getting the sunstones

Her tent won't be attracting this commoner, especially if old the and nasty Baron comes to her tent next, demanding cash. Pfft, they can both sleep under the kegs at the tavern as far as I am concerned. 10 plants is just utterly silly for 30 stones. Whoever thought of that one must have been at the tavern with doofus Thurston at the time and had WAY too many root beers. Cheers all.

Yeh, it would have been cool to actually receive tents for the game characters upon completion of these quests or to be able to build them even. And then upgrade them in line with the event. And perhaps even earn at least 1 sun stone from them per day or something like that.

This event, which is styled similar to the Farm Story 2 birthday event, is boring in comparison. Why is the third unlock item a bunch of consumable items? Where is the fun in achieving that goal. Especially considering a lot of people are maxed out on those items.
Farm Story 2 has actually become more fun than Castle Story. The decorations are animated too. :)

Not to worry...your game is saved on TLs servers not your device. It's been done many times.

Have you tried clearing the cache?, force closing all apps?, deleting any apps you're not using?, then try deleting the app & reinstalling. Should be in your cloud when you go to ITunes to redownload so should download in a few minutes.

I'm so glad I am not the only one telling Greselda to take a hike. I think I only have 3 inscriptions so this is going to take forever. I started a thread in the feedback section about goals with dark plants. Please feel free to let TL know your frustrations there too. Hopefully they will hear us all.

Are you playing your game on an older device? what level is your game currently on? If you deleted and reinstall your game and force close some apps that maybe running on the black ground and it still not working. I don't think there's much you can do about it.

Just wanted to say that I'm enjoying these last 2 updates.

The log fire was a bit disappointing but the other rewards are good, even though I don't have any space to put decorations out just now.

Like others I'm skipping greselda's tent because I'm a long way off completing sister sister, but for those who have completed it, I guess they're enjoying getting to use their greenhouses again.

It's a shame that people complain when they don't like everything about every quest.

I like the mix of quests in CS. I enjoy some more than others but I can usually see which groups of players would be getting more from a quest if it's not quite fitting in with where I am in the game.

If TL would change anything i would ask them to look at making random drops more balanced. It's hard not to take it personally when the game persistently doesn't drop something you need but you see all your neighbours have it (multiples of it, even). Those are the points that make me want to give up on the game.

But on the whole CS is my favourite game by a long way and the only one I have been playing for nearly 2 years now. Looking forward to the 2nd year anniversary and Halloween events. Thanks TL.

I found this with my iPod touch 3rd gen. When I visit other kingdoms, it frequently crashes. It would crash in my own kingdom. What I did was force closed my game and all other apps. Force shut down the iPod and then restart. That would work for a bit.... Until the next crash.

My Mom has an iPod touch 4G and she is having the same trouble. It may be the amount of RAM on the device. Some of the animations and graphics could bog down your device's memory and thus crashing.

Hopefully the coming Thursday will have a similar update that will give us a chance to use up some of our overflowing inventory (ex. it was nice to use up some flower petals and water) for some extra sun stones.

I find it funny how I'm getting a better drop with the glimmer trapper plant the last couple of days. That's usually the one that's keeping me from doing the trades so I'm happy to get more of them ^_^ And nope Greselda still won't get her tent since I only have 7 belladonna's inscription at the moment so I need to keep my dark seeds and plants...

Now I just need 11 more flame flags and 4 more braziers to upgrade my tent to level 7. That should be done in the next 3 days or so :o
