This could be just me coming off lazy, but I want to suggest they have a "recently made food" feature. A different game that I play has this feature and conserves my time clicking the specific food I last made. Let's say you make mana bananas and harvest them. The next time you click on your farm there can be a "recently made food" icon next to the "plant" icon so that it automatically plants mana bananas.
