I know I'm not the only player whose tongue gets twisted when trying to say the names of these two creatures, yet alone trying to do so in the same sentence. ("I don't want my baby Planther in the Plantlers' habitat.") Even when mentioning the Planther in isolation, I feel the need to to add some kind of clarification (Dark-Nature, panther) so that readers don't think I'm talking about Plantlers.
But the funniest thing is that even the folks at TeamLava are getting these names mixed up. In the description for Planther, they actually refer to the feline creature as Plantlers!

"Planthers slink in the treetop canopies of Fantasy Forest, hunting their prey from above. Their brightly colored fur blends in nicely with the magical plant life, allowing Plantlers some modicum of stealth."
A modicum of sense should have advised the artistic team against giving such similar names to these two common creatures.
