In order to access this week's update, you must have "Azalea's Show of Gratitude" or "Lilia's Show of Gratitude" completed.



This Adventure doesn't unlock in the Barracks at the the same time it unlocks in the Queen Court and King's Keep. Envoy to the Plume Hive won't unlock in your Barracks until you completed the goal "And We're Off... Again!" Hope that helps! :)

Updates usually go live in our games at noon PST on Thursdays and are sometimes posted here by a TL staff member a lil earlier than that (sometimes by 10am, PST)... But we don't yet know if we'll actually have one today or not. I'm hoping it will be the Pyre Festival since the caravan ends today but time will tell . . . .

I've got the new update but for some reason the new adventure it requires is locked by goal. It requires you to make new things to go on the adventure and the thing in my potion shop is locked by goal too. No idea how I am supposed to move on?

The Goddess tree is mentioned within the start text along with a discussion about azalea and the other one..... So I would say definitely a storyline update

Don't worry, once you finish the related goals, before this one, you will get this goal as well ! It is not a timed goal, it is in the storyline :)

Although, devs, please, if you release an update next week, please don't make it 3 weeks in a row that the update is only for high level players. The rest of us are people, too! And we stop everything a bit before each update in GREAT anticipation of needing it for something fun and new for us... and it is quite disappointing to get... nothing... again.

LOL. Share the burden. I am lvl 39 and dont have the goddess tree either and most of my early lvl 40-s neighbours dont have the tree. Its by far the most challenging guest line i have done so far. Takes a bucket load of silver and amantium to finish it. Just relax and take your time and at one point in the game you will be there that you have direct access to the future updates

2.) Trials and Tribute (I'm never going to get the trial of the explorer am I? I've purchased more expansions then most of my neighbours that have the knights hall...sheesh!)
3.) Night Glimmer Sword (Can't get dragon scales for this until I get the dragon, for which I need to get through the Raw Materials questline)

So why don't I have the new update quests???

These recent updates have been geared towards higher level players who have finished other quest lines. As you advance in the game and finish these quests the new ones will become available to you.

Suggestions: Finish 1 first so you can have the dragon because at some point #3 will need dragon scales. #2 is difficult because it is variable for each player i believe. The good news is that nothing main story line wise depends on that quest .. I think.:p

After you finish 3 ( the glimmer gate quests .. very long chain) and the troll chain, you should begin on the fairies and the blythwood tree. After those you get to the conflict with Lilia and Azalea. and finally you get this weeks update! woot! ahh it must be nice to still have so much to look forward too. :) although I will admit the glimmer gate quest can be a tad slow in the middle.

Think of it this way. If they never updated the long main story quest line then no one will reach the end of the story. So while I can see it is frustrating seeing an update "geared" for high levels, it isn't as if you won't do them and you get to have the extra fun quests on non-high level updates.

No you're not out of luck. You'll get the quests when you've met the prerequisites for them. At the moment given where you're up to with the quests you've got a lot of quests that will become available as you advance. So there'll be lots to keep you interested :)

Personally I think the devs have a difficult task trying to balance the new quests. They need to have some for low levels, some for medium and some for high levels. They've also got to fit the new ones in a logical position with the old ones - so there's better flow etc for newer players (older players are used to it jumping around as things get back filled).

I just got that badge a couple days ago. Turns out after researching in this forum for a long time that it is NOT how many times you expand, but rather that you expand onto one square in particular. It's one furthest northwest that does not require an expansion permit (just northwest of where the magic garden is found. 1,800 RP, 11 Wisp Lanterns, 145,000 coins.

Thank you for properly answering this question. I am a long term player on level 50 and now have something to do. I appreciate that! I remember being at lower levels and feeling a littler overwhelmed with all the quests!!

I appreciate that it is a delicate balance. However, a suggestion to keep all players a little happier: JUST ALTERNATE. Instead of two weeks in a row with quests only very high level players can complete, after one such, throw the mid or low level players a bone. Too long a dry spell for any one and they get bored and leave.

I completed the first 4-hour adventure from my castle, and it is no longer in my list so that one doesn't seem to be permanent.

The second adventure is available for 1 day in my castle and for 2 days in my barracks. Still locked for now while I craft the allergy potion.

Core story is a continuation of one thing after another. And there is a balance, you might remember the goals about a caravan.... about Pyre Dragons... And don't forget St. Patricks day... All of these were not for only L40+ players! they were much more inclusive. I think we tend to forget these events. When you have no goals in your book and are waiting week to week for something new to do, then of course new core storylines are going to be for the higher levelled players. Enjoy where you're at. If you are doing Greselda, maze, goddess tree, glimmergate, there is no chance you will be bored and even better you have something definite to look forward to.

If you have this new goal in your book the first step to unlock all the new things is to do the 4 hour adventure in you castle. This shouldn't be locked. Instead of a drop the Allergy Potion will be unlocked. After doing the Potion the Fairie Offering in the workshop will be available, then the sandwich and then, but only then can you go adventuring to the Plume Hive.

Ok I used gems to see what adventure drops. It dropped faerie beam, faerie paste, floral glow, vital extract, faeries murmur and some energy but don't remember how much energy it dropped. So yeah new items. I wonder what we will be building with them?? :)

I appreciate that it is a delicate balance. However, a suggestion to keep all players a little happier: JUST ALTERNATE. Instead of two weeks in a row with quests only very high level players can complete, after one such, throw the mid or low level players a bone. Too long a dry spell for any one and they get bored and leave.

Hey zenobia, I'd like to know a little more about where you're at. We don't feel the need to create content for low or mid level players most of the time, because the content and story is already there - low and mid level players generally have plenty to keep them busy, and we want to continue the storyline for folks who have reached the end.

Can you tell me a little bit about what level you are and what goals you're working towards? Are you stuck on something and unable to progress? If anyone else feels like they're also in this position, I'd really love to hear about it.

Hi Glimmergate, I too am stuck. I am level 44, completed Sabina, have 'lil Manty and Sir Pigglesworth, and a fully completed Faerie Respite. My only 2 goals are Raw Materials and Night Glimmer Sword. I have had my dragon egg since a couple of weeks before The Pyre Cavern event and have only gotten the golden fleece...so, still trying for the diamond and the burning ember. With no dragon for scales, I cannot assemble the sword so I have the Glimmergate (full on glimmer bits; I hear I'll be needing those later) but no Greselda.

For months all I do is collect things (check the mine for the diamond), grow and cook sweet feasts, and go on the corresponding adventure. The summer caravan has been the first thing I have done in a long time that felt like "playing", so thanks for that one. I hope the festival to come also has some element for me. Thanks for reading :)
Oh, I did get to do the Gazebo also; that was fun too.

You need to have gone through the faerie quest line and completed Azalea's or Lilia's show of gratitude.

I'm confused. I completed my respite awhile ago and have no other fairy quests. Just troll and Gresalda because I always put them on the back burner. That and the dumb alicorn.

If I remember correctly, you need to finish both the Greselda goal line and troll goal line to get the new goals.

Edit: you need to finish Knock on Wood (Blythewood Sapling part 3) and But We Just Met (Troll Tribe part 5).

The new adventure is locked in the barracks until you go on the first one in the Queen/King's court, and THEN visit the cottage. After I did the first one and visited the cottage, the goal unlocked in my barracks.

I could not unlock for a while, even though I had all previous quests done except sister, sister. I restarted my iPad and it did not help. But then I went back to the book at the top left, and actually punched the button (which I think said 0/1) and it took me to the castle and the goal was unlocked. Hope this helps.

SERIOUSLY? So this is yet ANOTHER update, two weeks in a row, that low and mid-level players get no chance at all to participate in. That just plain SUCKS. :mad:

I would love love love to have the love shack and pink alicorn, but I don't, I was not playing then. Complaining about it won't help. You are not missing out on anything! Just keep playing. We have already finished these goals, so new things keep us busy. You have loads of story line to work on. Just enjoy.

Hi glimmergate, I have 2 accounts and I am up to date on one and on the other one I'm on the storyline "raw materials" waiting for the large diamond, Golden Fleece, and burning ember so I can get my dragon. I remembered from my first account that this quest line took months to complete, I think this is where the new players are getting frustrated because for the glimmergate storyline you need dragon scales, which I purchased with gems to progress, but for those who don't have the required gems it means you're stuck for months on 2 major storylines. So maybe to keep the newer players happy and interested just increase the drop rate for the raw materials quest line so they can move onto the other ones

I never got anything from the first adventure at the beginning of the goal. It merely unlocked the allergy potion in the potion shop.

Haven't done the 2nd adventure yet, still working on chocolate cake for the faerie offering. On vacation right now so can't get on the game as much as usual. It's like a horrible withdrawal....lol.

My barracks is out with something else right now, but I think when you get back from the first 24 hour adventure it unlocks. So all future adventures will need the fish sandwiches, those horrid pink blobby things, and allergy potions.

It's a good use for apples at any rate! :)

I agree, the green slime is awful. Looks like we will be depending on these adventures for building supplies for something new which sounds exciting! I was thrilled to see something new drop from the new adventure and I have really enjoyed this update! I also like that this will stick around because it seems that other exciting adventures have come and gone again, and those always seemed to leave an unfilled hole. I like having something new to choose from!

Thanks TL, it looks like we are getting back to the main story. Anyone wonder if Old Thomas stayed home to write to Agnes about the Fairies? Seems to make sense he would since they seem to be interested in the Goddess Tree. Will he be sending out letters again in the next few weeks?

I love the creativity of the story writers and I was worried for a time that they had left for greener pastures, but whatever happened things are back on track. I am happy with this update and am looking forward to future ones!

...but there *are* some places where bread is a random drop, which helps sometimes - harvest pergola, summer gazebo and from the milk/eggs trade in the Exchange.
Wish the trolls would give me some chocolate since they used to luuuuuv my cocoa fields so much lol.... Well, as long as it's not smeared with green slimy troll snot, that is. Lol
But yeah, even better - Sabina needs to *do* something beyond prissing around & baking me some cake every once in a while would be nice lol

I've played since the beginning of 2014 and am at level 39, so it really depends on how much time and energy you can devote to the game. I Remember there were a lot of open quests when I started and you will catch up with these as well.

Yes, this Adventure will stay in your Adventure buildings even after you have completed these Goals.

In the context of the game plume seems to be the name used to describe the group of the glimmerwood faeries (like people use glonder to describe a flock of alicorns but it's an official name). So plume hive is basically a more consise way of saying home of the glimmerwood faeries.

I've done the adventure 3 times also. Each time I got a faerie beam and block, no paste so far. Only special drop was 1 square of a faerie path. It will be interesting to see what we will be able to build with these new items.

I've had the fish market since its release, I get ( as rare drops) Baked butterfish and Catfish Soup, and of course the 3 type fish, but until now The smoked Fish Sandwich did not drop!
Maybe ( hopefully) TL would add this to the rare drops also! This would be great :D

I'm not maxed out on every single thing, she says defensively. I do send my knights out most days, but it's easy to stay caught up. If I send them out, I pop another feast in the oven to make up for it. Then I work like crazy to get another few sundaes made, or spicy sauce, so when I get to a point I can put another spicy feast together. Plus, I'm on this game 20 hours a day, which is silly. So I'm crafting round the clock. So there, lol.

I want one of those campfires, too! I'd trade 24 other campfires for one! ;)

All of us can see that these items are going to be needed to build some future buildings and adventuring is the only way to get them. I'm pretty sure we are going to need plenty of them, which means going on many not so cheap adventures, which in return means these faerie items are nothing more than a way to juice out some gems from players, cuz getting so many of those is going to be a major source of frustrations!

I am only getting faerie Murmurs ( which am maxed out on ) Faerie bulb seed, and one block and beams and paste from three adventures :( Got 2 Gems and 7 energies lol
Ah yes and one white cow. that is all.
I am a bit disappointed that for such an expensive adventure the energy level is so low, and the Beams/ block are going to be an issue soon if we cannot craft them.
Gosh I am hating the Sugar cane / Wheat/ Cocoa beans/ Cabbages a bit more everyday lol

I hate planting cabbage, too! I avoid it at all cost! But what I'm finding is if I plant it in the late afternoon, it's ready when I get up in the morning, so I don't notice so much how long it takes.

I've played since the beginning of 2014 and am at level 39, so it really depends on how much time and energy you can devote to the game. I Remember there were a lot of open quests when I started and you will catch up with these as well.

Absolutely true! I also started this year and am as far as it is possible to get, fully expanded to every square, and have been sitting at the top, Level 50 for some time now. I have run out of even a quest book before, and would be without one now if I sent in the last of the Inscriptions which I have sitting in my inventory. I know I am not the only one who would have nothing new to do at all if TL stopped following the story line again to add more quests for new and mid level players who already have plenty of neat things to look forward to.

Those of us who depending not on the number of months or even years since we signed up, but the amount of time we have spent playing the game, who are at the leading edge of the game writer's imaginations, won't have anything to do at all if TL once again stops the story line to add quests for those who already have a full plate and plenty to look forward to.

TL has caravans and seasonal/holiday themes and yes, if you weren't at the level to participate or it was before you signed up, you may not get a prized item like the Love Shack which I myself missed. But you can take some consolation in knowing you will have unique items that those who come after you will not be able to get.

But when TL updates with a continuation of the main story like they have recently, those players who havent progressed far enough to get these quests the moment they are released will get them when they reach this spot in the natural progression of the game. You are not being denied anything when the story line is continued. On the contrary, you have more waiting ahead of you because you will get here.

It is those of us who are put on hold and cannot progress when we put in enough time and effort to get to where I amd many others are now. We depend on updates to give us a game to play. Without a continuation of the story line the game will end where it sits.

As someone much wiser than I said (and I don't remember who or I would list the credit, but it wasn't me), It is the journey that is important, not the destination. The journey in CS is truely awesome, and I suggest that those who actually have quests in their books enjoy doing them rather than demanding that TL stop the story to add more material to an already rich and exciting story line, at the expense of the continuation of the story.

If you play enough time (again playing time, not number of days that you come and play the accrued energy) you will get to the point I am. Then the journey stops and you sit and wait for the writers to put out a bit more each week if you are lucky. Don't begrudge those of us who may have nothing at all to do until we see if there will be an update each week, and if it will continue the story, the actual continuation of the story line. Because if we don't get it, it won't be seamlessly passed down to the players advancing now and in the future. You see one quest after another and sometines several at a time. We sit with empty quest books, setting personal goals like maxing out on adhesives, which while it is something, it doesn't get us anywhere at all.

You will get to these story line quests when they come up, after you complete the quests you have. Really, you aren't missing a thing! And as an added plus if there are boo boos in the release we are the ones who take the hit and those behind us get a good boo booless (okay that may not be a word but you understood it didn't you? ;) )story game. Enjoy it!

I do this and I am often disappointed as well if it is something to help people rush through Sister, Sister for instance. TL can't please everyone all the time.

Upon reflection though, we really can't blame a company if our strategy for playing their game fails.

There are enough legitimate issues to complain to TL about. As tempting as it is, we all including me need to differentiate between our game strategy and problems that show up in TL's game which adversely affect game play.

Sorry, but if I stockpile cabbages because I suspect they will be needed, and the update comes out and carrots are required, or worse, TL extends last week's update for another week because so many people complain that it takes too long to finish, I am out of luck folks. So is anyone who guesses incorrectly. This is a game.

Do you have the Plume Hive adventure available? You can use them up that way. If you haven't unlocked that adventure yet, you'll need to contact Support and they can remove a few for you. Just tell them how many you want removed. Good luck! :)
