Does breeding a (common + common)or atleast a (rare + common/super rare) give you more chance to get a rare animal? Or (rare + rare) or (super rare + rare/ ultra rare) give you more chance at getting a super rare?

Not it that I have ever noticed. Seems quite random to me.

Okay, I have tried breeding for Jade Kirin now about 5 X's (6 months or more each time). This last time from December to now and that is September. That is 10 months. How come I cannot get this Diamond Animal?

I am getting a little upset here. I have all the regular Diamond breeds except this one. I do not have the Specials Diamonds like Diamond Rainbow. I stopped long enough to breed for the special Kirin and got it first try. Why is Jade Kirin so hard to get? What breed can I use to get this elusive Diamond?

You can't breed some special animals unless they bring them back as a special or you have to win them. Grand unicorn is a special one that only comes up every now and then.

Thank you for your response. I think I may have worded my question wrong. I have a Grand Unicorn, but when I want to breed with a legendary or whatever they're called, only my CU & PP (I think those are the initials) show up in the drop down.

Oh sorry. Rainbow animals and I think fire/water animals aren't able to breed unless unlocked for a special event.

Yes you can. As long are you use the right elements, so in this case crystal and water, you can get a Pearl Peryton. I doesn't have to be only Crystal Unicorn and the element water. Good luck

Breeding water with fire always returns in a Skyger (dark element)
S8 changed the possibility to breed water with fire, because it almost returns in a Crystal creature. For that reason you always getting a Skyger now.

Let us know, because the shortest breeding time i can think of with lightning/nature is a 16 hours common Thunderhawk.

Granite golem is best possibility since cosmic is bred with earth
Since can't know what element cosmic throws it can also be: (other 48 hrs)

The rarity of the creatures you are breeding does not affect the rarity of the animal that you will get. Commons can produce rares can produce commons. But that's not to say that two rares won't give u a rare. Odds are just the same

With some animals you can't breed with it. That's the way this game works. And Eerie Owl has the Halloween element, not the right element for placing it into Haunted pad. There you can only place animals with Ghost (spooky) elements.

Just dark and nature. It doesn't matter which dark and nature element( animal you use.) Animal rarity, level - they don't affect the breeding result in any way. If you want to get certain hybrid - it is always easiest to just use base elements just skyger and pandadoffil - that way you won't get other animals than dark/nature. Aurora pegasus is super rare - and I have breed it only twice in 2,5 years of playing...so it will likely get you some time to breed. But there is NO magic combo. You may get one with ANY nature/ dark combo...if you are lucky - you may get it sooner rather than later...but chances of getting one are the same - no matter how rare /what level animals you use.
For breeding: there are not " magic combos" ....Some players get theirs with one combo...and same one doesn't work for the other... Just use base elements. It is not depending on " the magic combo" - it is just the luck of breeding super rare animal.

Tip: if you have managed to breed crystal unicorn. Then it is good to breed crystal unicorn with dark/nature hybrid. While it doesn't increase your chances to get Aurora pegasus - you still may end up with dark/legendary or nature legendary animal. But if you don't have Crystal unicorn so soon in the game - don't worry. It took me 2 years to get mine.

Perhaps it is Brave eagle? ( dark/fire super rare animal) or dare devil ( electric/fire.) or Tortigloo ( earth/ electric.) Can't say for sure.

What about the goal one like the magmacore? I try breeding two other fire and earth like the Armodillo and the Rampage.
Also, for the Crystal Unicorn, are the four elements Earth, Fire, Nature and Water only? or can the Dark also be one of the four? Thanks :-)
Any for elements should work~BUT I found it easier getting a unicorn by means of super Rares including night and electric!

Hi! I am Funner52 and if u want to buddy me because of this post u can. So, I'm on level 22 and I just got my first crystal unicorn! If u happen to buddy me when the crystal unicorn is evolving, believe me I'm not lieing. And if u are new and want one, I bred a molten Martian (level 10) and a cerberus (level 8) if you don't have these, there will be plenty other combos.

Unfortunately I don't keep track of my breeding pairs, but I think I used Nocturnowl, lvl 10, & Ichobod Crane, lvl 15, to get the Aquafox. Hope that helps.
Right now I have Dampire Bat,10, & Aquafox, 6, in the den w/I think, a 14 hr breed time. Any ideas?

It's either a chameneon or a mercat. It is just pure luck. Getting ultra rare may take you months or even if you are really unlucky - over year ( happened to me on my first time ...took me nearly 2 years to get Crystal Unicorn....
Others are the same - you may get them randomly, when you least expect them. It doesn't matter what animals / how rare/what level you use - every combo has equal chances to result in ultra rare - ( and those chances are really really small...)

Since you'd need them to give elements to breed for a special like egypt, I'd say no its not breedable :)

It can produce antother crystal unicorn. It may also produce panda or Emerald dragon.

How is it that I was able to breed a confetti yeti, which shouldn't be possible, but it took me 10 tries to get a ziguin which is supposed to be common? This does not make much sense.

It's always sad if you really want one and didn't seem to get it. And on the other hand only breeding SR ones you normally never breed in stead.
Something entirely different, I noticed lately all the new (limited) ones have the same 8 hours breeding time. It could be coincident, but it's something I noticed
Anyone recognize this egg? Found it on a neighbors forest. Looks familiar but don't know for sure.

I bought a Lambi on my baby account a few months ago. I liked the animal, and at that time my account was very new, so I really needed the coins and food that came with it. Then yesterday or the day before, I won 2 Lambi's on the "watch and win" videos. So now I have 3. If I had enough habitats i would hatch all 3 and keep one at each stage.

Storm8 is lazy about updating creature descriptions in the game, so pretty much the only way we know if a returning animal is breedable is if someone on the forum manages to breed it and reports it.
Once in a while someone at Storm8 answers our questions, but it's rare.

I would like to know if the giving treent is breedable this year or if its only back as a sale. Because last year and the year before last year the giving treent was breedable so I was hoping that this year it would come back as a breedable animal. And i really wanted this one too but couldnt breed it last year.

I know Knitten Kitten is as I got one on my baby account. I already have 2 on my older account. I'm not sure about Jingle Shells as it doesn't say that it isn't breedable. The rest all say not breedable.
On another note, on Black Friday I purchased the Egyptian habitat and the two available Egyptian animals, so now I have a habitat sitting there with only 2 animals. I thought the other two would be for sale over Christmas, but no luck. Maybe for New Year's?

I bred a snow manatee even though it says it’s unbreedable; too bad I already have one. However, with the ice cream animals you’d need to know what elements you’d need to breed with, so I’d assume they’re not breedable. Happily, they’re cheap (I just had to have the chocolate lab!)

I bred a Blizard too while trying for the Nog Hog. Tempted to keep it as a baby, since I raised my original to epic long ago. But actually ... yep, I have several more in storage from Spin to Win. So never mind. I can always hatch one of them later if/when I have room.

Sounds like Blizard egg but I don't know your breeding pair so can't be sure what all elements u used.

There isn't!! Sorry to inform you but Birthstone isn't breedable. You can only obtain it when it is relaised for a tournament or otherwise.

There is a thread for this about the Crystal Unicorn.
Tap here (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?71199-Crystal-Unicorn-2014-Jul-24) to find more about combos other members used to get it. Just use 4 diffrent elements. Which one doesn't matter. I got mine at lvl 106;)
It's a UR so it can takes a while when you get it. Good luck.

I just went through about 300 gems on speed breeding and came up empty handed on both the Mardi Claw and the Bead Steed. Think I'll just buy the Bead Steed and call it good.

I just always breed with either a Crystal Unicorn or a hybrid whenever it's practical. The only time I don't is when I'm super-focused on breeding an event animal. Otherwise, I always have the Crystal element in the mix.

I do too, but with no result; that is no crystal hybrids have hatched for a very very long time. It is all I breed unless playing a mini-game. I am very frustrated. I have 3 out of 15. Each one costs 2000 or more gems, which is about $70 each. I couldn?t afford to spend that much on a stuffed animal, let alone a virtual one. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks for responding. I have said this before, but I am only willing to spend money on games in which I can have some success. I do want to support them.

I hear ya. I don't spend money on the game at all, so I have to approach it with a kind of zen attitude. I get what I get, and I have to let go what I miss.
I don't know of anything to do that improves your odds. I've been playing for several years now, and my oldest account just got its 3rd Crystal hybrid. My Persepheny account has 11 - with 3 Garnet Griffins and 2 Emerald Dragons. And my baby account hasn't managed to breed one yet. *shrug*
They come when they come. If I fret too much about it, I don't enjoy playing the game, so I just plug along and get excited whenever it happens. :)

I'm pretty sure that's how we got it during the event, but I wouldn't bet on it being the case now. It's more likely they didn't bother updating the description, since they rarely do.
I doubt we'll find out for sure unless someone happens to breed it.

I just bred a Station Dalmatian with a Crystal Unicorn AND GOT A STATION DALMATIAN. So, take that information for what it's worth. Maybe you CAN breed the Station Dalmatian with the Captain K9 and get a Saintly Bernard. I'm certainly going to try it now with this encouragement!!!

LOL - thanks. I'd have been more excited if I didn't already have one. In fact, I think I used to have 2 on that account and ended up selling one to make space for something else. I have two Harmonic Hollows now though, so I might keep it for now.

Well better a tubacan instead of a fleets of boring whatever commons or rares from that combo. In fact, I wont mind having a tubacan myself. I'm getting the usual boring fleets so far, still trying though. Now I'm even more motivated and hope to get a tubacan or a saintly bernard.

Are Melodeer & Saintly Bernard breedable right now (while they're on sale?) I can't remember how it works with limiteds. I wasn't able to breed either one the first time around (or any other opportunity I noticed.) I hope so--started trying, just in case, lol.

I don't think anyone has reported success with those two animals yet. However, I have bred a Station Dalmatian and a Tubacan since the sale started, so I believe it's likely they are breedable. Keep an eye on the Breeding Combos & Questions thread - hopefully someone will have some success!

If you want to try for one of those, they are 1 of the trio's. The original task are:
For the Melodeer you need to breed Lullabison with Tubacan.
And for Saint Bernhard you need to breed Station Dalmatian with Captain K9.

Doubt the Sunrise Drake will settle in my forest: Have been using Seafoam Unicorn and CU, which have blessed me -so far- with one 45-hr Sapphire Cthulhu, 2(!) 47-hr Jasper Dragons and now I just got a 42-hr breeding situation... one after another... Crazy, right?! Happy, but bad for gems to speedbreed ;)
To get sunrise Drake you need to water and fire breeding. It?s so strange what happened. So the point is... I do not have one fire monster ( because of need of space I sold them). So I put out of my storage my French bulldog that is fire and water. I level him to 4 but now I cannot use him. So strange? I wanted to use him and my diamond monster to get sunrise Drake. It does not show in the breeding list. So now I must buy a fire monster with coins? Why? Nothing special with the French bulldog.

Hmm, the Water/Fire breeding combo seems to be rather lucky outside the Pyro Pony/Frostfang combo. Those asking why their Water/Fire animals aren't breedable - I think that's your answer. The Seafoam Unicorn is one of the few exceptions - if not the only one - and it seems to produce a high percentage of Legendary hybrids. I just got a 45 hour timer myself breeding with my Crystal Unicorn. I wonder if it has the same influence when bred with a non-Legendary animal.
This definitely bears testing. Too bad I only have one on one of my accounts. :D

The last few times i used the CU with Seafoam it not gave me a Crystal hybrid. Not even while trying for the Dragon. That's why I switched to 2 Crystal hybrid breed. Maby after some of you did get a hybrid, I need to retry again. It's been awhile since my last Crystal hybrid. Congrats for those who did managed, I'm soooo jealous:eek:

So far no one succeded but you can try for it. I'm also breeding for Saint Bernhard with no succes so far. Good luck. And let us know if you did get one. You can only try for today. It's the last day before the sale ends.

Thank you! Im happy to get the crystal animals but it ties up my den for too long. Had to use gems to speed up the Griffin. Will do the same tonight with jasper dragon. I really want the sunrise drake!!

Yeah, I debated whether to try or not because if it worked I would tie up my den. In the end I couldn't resist. Hopefully I can get in a few more tries once my den is free again!

So i caved earlier and got station dalmation..bred with CU and got another dalmation ..and now same combo got me 45hrs!!!! This will be my second crystal hybrid breed, last one was about a month ago.. so happy right now! K9 was giving me water /earth combos everytime.. so would be right to think this possibly be a ruby razorback or sapphire
Sooo it was a ruby razorback and rebreed got me another hybrid! 48hrs!!! This luck has came out of nowhere and i am ecstatic about it!

I would suggest that you try with Pyro Pony and Frostfang if you really want the Sunrise Drake. You may be selling yourself short with longer fails and time is running out. Breeding the Sunrise Drake will help you in the Forest Party event.
Because a lot of you guys was breeding with CU and Seafoam Unicorn for this fellow, and a lot was rewarded with a Crystal hybrid, I thought let's give it a try with the same combo. Even if i already succeeded breeding the Sunrise Drake, but on my first try with a little hope for a Crystal hybrid i got a 48 hour breeding timer. YEAH!!! I hope it's some I doesn't have already.
The only 48 hour timer with Water or fire i can think of is a Garnet Griffin. One i already have:(. But happy with another.

Well so far, the SEA element in Sunrise Drake seems to behave like EARTH.
SEA-FIRE & WATER --> EARTH-FIRE (Hottweiler)
SEA-FIRE & WATER --> EARTH-FIRE (Armordillo)
SEA-FIRE & LIGHTNING-WATER --> WATER-EARTH (Iciclaw)
SEA-FIRE & LIGHTNING-WATER --> ??? (7 hours; probably Skyger)

uestion for y'all. I have water/fire combos - Snow Monster & Goblin Gobbler, but they're not in the choices of animals to breed. Has anyone else had this issue? Without them, I'm stuck w/Frostfang & Pyro Pony as my only options for the Sunrise Drake. TIA.
UPDATE: Nevermind, I forgot I got it! Still curious as to why I can't breed w/those fire/water animals.

Special elements, when they ARE breedable, add a basic element to the breed in place of the special element. It looks like Earth will be the element for most Sea hybrids. However, Sea/Earth will likely throw in a different element - probably Fire, as Fire and Earth seem to alternate often.
