But I wish it were not a white-blue dragon. We already have quite a few of those.
I don't see why a gargoyle's elements would be water and light. Night and magic would have been more appropriate and the dragon would be even more breathtaking in black & purple with grey highlights and glowing yellow, red or green eyes.
And who doesn't need another super black dragon?

25 saved bombs only gave 40 pieces for crafting the new mining dragon, but i cannot grump about that since i usually end up with a bunch of extras in the end anyway - ofc not extras enough to bother crafting a 2nd dragon, but still always enough to make me wonder if it had been worth pushing evolving a bit....

Ah well, i only want one of each dragon anyway, and i'm too relaxed about it to craft/breed extra dragons to get gems from, so all is well. I'm sure there are players with more, but atm i have 23 unique level3 dragons waiting for evolution (none of them doubles) which i'll surely find useful for mining :)

Can you explain this in more detail? I know there are tips for getting more bombs and I don't understand how people do it. Help? I have only ever got one mining dragon and that was the first one, missed every one after that. You seem to know what you are doing! ;)

Have a dragon 24/7 in the evolution temple even if it's a common
Then just go mining. I most of time get 2 stones for each bomb

I've never gotten a mining dragon despite being at level 88, but I saved up 25 bombs for this one and got 43 right away! I have a lot of dragons waiting for evolution temple so I should be able to get this one.

Got a really good start. Had the 25 bombs in storage and after I blew them up took Gold out of the evolution temple and received 11 more bombs.

Was able to collect an even 60 gargoyle stones from 36 bombs. :)

Now with 65 Gargoyle Stones. This dragon looks AWESOME in epic! I love the Valentine design and have never gotten any of them (Valentine, Spring, Music, and Goldleaf, which I really want and am saving up for). I hope that I can get this one, 32.5% there!! I started off with 43 stones on the day it came out from 25 bombs.. doing well with Passion in the temple and like seven dragons lining up for it.. including the new Olympus dragon and others like Sapphire, and extra Magic to trade, Acrobat, Honeybee, Ice Cream, etc. And I have Air and Firestorm almost in epic... no idea why I never evolved them . And my Right/Left hearts and Passions are my primary evolving-priorities right now. Good luck everyone! :)

How do you lot get so many bombs so quickly. I am only at about 40 pieces with about 20 bombs to mine with. It always takes me almost the whole month to collect 200 bits. Are you all speeding up the evolution temple. :confused:

One way of having a high count is if you evolve at 4, 7, and 10 versus just evolving at 7 and 10. Depending on when a person started playing DS, there are different times where we need to use the temple for evolution. I started in Fall 2013 and I need to put dragons in the evolution temple to get from Level 3 to Level 4 and from Level 6 to Level 7. So if I keep the evolution temple constantly in use, I earn 6 bombs a day (24 hours / 4 bombs per hour). Six bombs a day will get me a little less than 12 pieces a day if I can earn two pieces per bomb. Even if you round down the daily pieces to 10 per day - I can get the 200 required pieces in about 20 days. It's relatively cheap, food wise, to get from Level 1 to Level 7 - I don't have to invest the food needed to evolve to Level 10.

A second way people have high counts is that they started the event with 25 bombs in storage. After getting last month's prize, a player could store 25 bombs while waiting for the new mining event. If you had 25 bombs you effectively have about a 50 piece headstart on the next dragon.

Same Here, since i am at a loss with the bombs since i used all the ones i had saved up to try and get the sunstone dragon but failed (missed only 10). I am currently building my 7th farm which is a good thing as i will get additional food. every unwanted dragon that i don't need I either sell it (specially right now) or evolve them. Good luck.

There in lies my problem. I only evolve at 7 and 10, however I constantly buy and evolve water dragons so I do have something evolving most of the time. But it ****s me to waste all the apples that I could be using to get my level 7s to epic.

I only have 80 stones. Should I even bother trying? I constantly have something evolving, but it seems difficult to get enough bombs to find 200 stones, especially since I seem to only average one stone found per bomb. :/ Anything I can do with the leviathan pearls or tarot cards I never got enough of? A little off topic; but, is it me or does TL need to either shorten or lengthen the mining period? I usually end up with a dragon and like 140 pieces towards a second one. I don't want to just not mine and go over the 25 bomb limit because that's just a waste of potential food and/or money, but it really isn't necessary to have two mined dragons. I would love it if there were some trading post where I could turn in all of my old, unused pieces towards crafting a current dragon. Or perhaps just make that an option in the area where you trade dragons for gems. One can dream...

I could only start mining a few days ago (when I leveled up to around level 40 something?) I have 53 stones, 30 dragons waiting to evolve and a few that just need a bit more food to be ready to evolve. Maybe I'll buy a few pieces, if I get close, but not enough, when the time is up.

When is the time up for getting this dragon? I have the 200 pieces but have something else crafting. Don't want to miss out! If the time period for mining ends can I still craft the dragon or is the ability to craft it gone when you can no longer mine the pieces? Also, if crafting is in progress on it when the ability to mine pieces ends, does the crafting disappear/stop and you lose out as well?

I'll have my Gargoyle hatched in a lil bit, and those bombs are starting to pile up in inventory already...going for a second one was no option - i don't want 2 of it - so i think i'll just save up food and skip evolving in between mining dragons, and when it's time for a new dragon from mine i might have a few dragons to evolve not just from 3 but also from higher levels.

You should only keep a stack of 25 bombs in inventory, any more than that will disappear.

The last few mining events have lasted 4 weeks - the Gargoyle started on 7/25 and four weeks would be 8/22.

If you know you can't make it, then save your bombs so that you have the max of 25 for when the new dragon is launched on Friday. You will then have about a month to get 200 pieces for that dragon.

I think I have 12 or so extra stones. I was maxed on bombs but needed to evolve my Olympus dragons for breeding so I has to burn through a few. I finished gargoyle way too early. Maybe I will slow down towards the end on the next one so I don't have to waste bombs.

I think you need to have started the crafting by 10 AM PDT - I don't think you have to be completed with the crafting by that time. In past events people had problems because they hadn't started the crafting by the deadline. I haven't seen anyone complain that their crafting was "halted" so I think you'd be alright as long as you start the crafting by the deadline. Maybe one of the Mods could clarify.

I agree with ciarjen - if you're not going to be able to collect 200 by Friday (and there's no way you'll be able to do that without spending some serious gold by accelerating evolutions) you should save your bombs for the the next dragon. A new dragon for the mining prize will be announced a few hours after the current event closes.

Never forget - there will always be another dragon event in a few days... world events, tournaments, mining, spin to win... they keep coming back; another week or another month and there will be another prize.

It ends in 29 1/2 hours. Go ahead and evolve your dragons and collect the mines but don't blow them up. Keep the mines in storage until the next mining dragon appears. The mining dragons have never been revealed ahead of time. You just have to wait until the new mining dragon appears in the mine.

You need to collect the parts and start crafting the dragon, before he expires, if you start crafting the dragon a couple minutes before he expires, then, congrats, the dragon is yours! (just wait for the craft and hatch xD)

When you press the button to craft the dragon and a couple minutes later the dragon expires, there's no problem, you will receive the dragon, the same thing happens when you are able to breed a limited dragon on the last minutes, if you breed the limited one, when the dragon expires, you will receive the dragon.

You need to collect the parts and start crafting the dragon, before he expires, if you start crafting the dragon a couple minutes before he expires, then, congrats, the dragon is yours! (just wait for the craft and hatch xD)

When you press the button to craft the dragon and a couple minutes later the dragon expires, there's no problem, you will receive the dragon, the same thing happens when you are able to breed a limited dragon on the last minutes, if you breed the limited one, when the dragon expires, you will receive the dragon.

I've noticed the mining glitch too. Has happened 3-4 times. Last two were very weird. I hit the X after finishing the mine to get back to start screen, but ended up outside of the mine. When I went back in, I bypassed start screen new mine was up to play and I lost the gold and parts from the last play, or it will appear like an empty mine, but I'll have no moves to play.

I cant evolve untill level 6 so i miss out on the 1st level evolution its handy for breeding but not for the mine

I have 144 pcc of stones. I never get another 56 pcc. Are these mining dragons come back some day and i can use these stones?

Mine ends in about an hour. But if I get 200 stones, will I be able to craft dragon tomorrow?
Or crafting recipe in a Craft shop will disappear together with closing the mine?

Unless you have all 200 pieces and start crafting before the deadline, then you will not be able to get this dragon. You can't start crafting after it expires even if you have all the pieces. It can expire while you're crafting and you'll still get the dragon. But you definitely can't begin crafting after it expires. The option won't even be there anymore.

What happend? I can still get stones, for next 25 minutes, but dragon is missing and I can not craft it?? Instead there is Guardian Dragon, which I though was gone some time ago...

My mine says there are 20 minutes left to get stones, but the option to craft is already gone! I was going to buy the rest of the stones I needed with gold :( what the heck, why would you still have time to mine stones if you couldn't even craft with them??

tuja, I came here for the same issue! I set an alarm to make sure I got my last mines from evolution, got a couple more pieces, and was ready to craft my dragon. It says there's still 20+ minutes, but it's not an option for crafting!

I wasted my gold to buy bombs and speed my current crafting but I can't get the Dragon
It expires earlier! TL please fix this and allow me to begin crafting, I had to be in time!

I only see guardian dragon in craft besides the other ones. Which guardian was removed on the 12.. So why is it back?

Looks like a glitch. TL is good at fixing them. Could be a discrepancy between 10am and 10:30am closure time. Either way the crafting option is gone.

Agree with the above posts. I was going to use my gold to buy the rest of the stones and craft this dragon. 22 minutes left ....no crafting option. It was there 12 minutes ago!!! Really ticked!!! It's ridiculous enough it takes so long to breed many of these dragons. I play daily and up until 2 dragons ago was able to mine for my dragon. It might have been a race to the finish but I got it done. Now there's no way. I'm coming up about 40 short. Tighten it up did ja? Don't tell me I'm playing differently. Been playing 1 1/2 yrs.

It's normal, 'cause when the dragon is removed from the mining is also removed from the spell shop.

One thing that happened this time was, players still had 10 minutes left to collect the parts but the dragon was no longer available in the spell shop, so if you were able collect 200 parts until the dragon expires, you need to contact TL so they can do something.

On the last day, I decided to speed up evolution by three hours. It just felt too nerve wracking to wait to the last moment - I started crafting him about 2 hours before the end - still crafting.
I feel really bad for everyone who got 200 stones and found the recipe disappeared minutes ahead of time limit - I think TL should return the recipe to the shop for an hour or two (giving ample notice) so that people who got 200 stones could craft the dragon. The way that came down is not right.
You guys should really contact TL and ask for some solution.

Support solved the problem for me. They just take out 200 stones from my account and give me Gargoyle dragon in Storage, without crafting. So I think that everyone who was not able to start craft dragon in time because of this issue, should contact support.
