Looks like a box. I think I'll pass. This ice cream parlor looks way too similar to the one they did in Bakery Story a bit back.

I certainly don't want duplicates of the GIANT root beer float, milk shake or ice cream cone so I'll have to give this box a skip....love everything else, the ice cream truck is really great. The fourth place prizes never cease to disappoint me and that's in almost every box ever released, across all games. TL, fourth place items need to be better....I hate to complain because I love the weekly updates, you guys do a great job but after 3 years (or there abouts) of play I still find it hard to spend 24 gems on those fourth place items. I already spend too much money on gems for these games so really it's a good thing but I know I would break down and open boxes more often if the fourth place prizes were better. Anyway, nice work on this box, I think a lot of people will like this.

I really like the bright colors in all the new decor. I wish they turned this into a two or even three week long theme. I would redecorate in a heart beat and have a huge ice cream area. I have been wanting to redecorate for awhile now because some area of my restaurant are becoming blah. Maybe if next week we have some regular decor of ice cream related things I will open this box a few times. I'm a sucker for boxes, I have opened many but I have the worst luck. I play three TL games, BS FS and RS, and I have never received a 1stplace prize in any of them lol. And I'm pretty sure the beautiful ice cream shop will be 1st place. Oh well. Maybe we will get lucky and during Black Friday they will put it for sale!

I agree. I wouldn't be too upset if I got a giant Root Beer Float or Milk Shake or Ice Cream, but knowing my luck, I'll get duplicates instead of the better items as well.

I think this is the first time ive opened a box, in just about 3 years of playing this game and not throwing a mini tantrum. I got the balloons on two accounts, but won 2nd place for the first time ever. On a smaller account i wont the sundae station, which is small but super cute and the ice cream swirl cone.

I dont wish I had my gems back and will happily save them up again, in case we get some more cute items to match these. Or at least to open the box a couple more times.


I forgot! The 2nd place was the ice cream truck.

Not sure where to post this? I have a Goal in Dragon Story that requires me to download and play "Restaurant Story 2" . The goal has been there for several months and I can not find RS 2. Does it exist? How do I find it? Thx!

Ooh, I love this box!! Almost everything is great! I opened it up 3 times and got the waffle cone bench, giant root beer float, and sundae bar (which was one of the things I wanted most!) As I earn more gems I will probably try this box more times because I want the ice cream stand and giant swirly cone too. Most of the time I don't want the first place
prizes but this one--the ice cream shop--is super cute!

I tried the new ice cream chest 3 times over the past 2 days and I've gotten the giant root beer float every time. I'm disappointed because I would be happy with literally any of the other prizes it I keep getting the same one which is probably my least favorite of them all lol. I keep wanting to try again thinking there's no way I'll get it again but that's what I thought the last time.. Just wondering if this is common or not..

It's common to get duplicate item. I've got a couple of duplicate back then when I opened the Christmas box 2013.

I think that with certain boxes this suggestion would be great. Certainly not many players (I'm included in this group) would want more than one giant root beer float? And yet, the difficulty with this suggestion is that there are some lower ranked prizes that you do want to win more than once. There maybe a player who wants a giant root beer float at each of his five doors. I certainly would love the chance to win more than one of the ice cream parlors if I could.
What I do wish is that we were given the opportunity to select from the boxes which items we wanted to purchase instead of it being a random thing. Of course, this would remove the gambling aspect of the Boxes and TL might think that would be bad for its business.

two firsts for this box for me: first time i got the prize i most wanted (the ice cream truck, although the stand is also great) on my second try, and first time i got a duplicate prize (the waffle cone bench) in only four opens. i would have loved to get a 4th place instead! will probably try again when i get a gem sale, because it's all pretty cute (although i'm hoping to get the cone or milkshake rather than the root beer float, cause that is not as good).

I buy gems, and fall into both categories. I will occasionally gamble if I like several items in the box. By far, I prefer to just buy the LTOs or other decor. I will try 2 - 3 times, but usually no more. This last time, I actually liked pretty much everything, so I kept trying. I figured odds were I would eventually get one of the larger prizes....NOT!! I now have multiples of every giant food item in the box! I would SOOO like to trade them for pretty much anything else, but no, they just have to sit there. :-((
