Omg!! It requires too much of stuff... Phew!
M still to upgrade my trollcastle to levl 3.. Took so much of time to make 4 wovenclothes...
So i believe i have many more goals to go..
Should i use my resources forthis goal? They havent mentioned all the rewards.. So would be worth it to go for it? In a big confusion..
Goddess tree, siater sister, maze, fountain, all these goals are yet to come...
So any suggestions as to what should i do?

Something you chop and it gives random goodies. Can be a feast, ornate beam and expansion permit. Or a mushroom, a wooden beam and a dragon scale. It's a lottery ticket :)

Glimmergate, I've been looking for the thread where you said that the rewards for the caravan this time will be better than previous rewards. Is this true?
If so, and assuming the next update doesn't depend on this caravan, then this treasure trove must be on heck of a treasure trove 😊

07-17-14, 12:34 PM
Wow that's a lot of supplies. I feel sorry for anyone who attempts it without having the first knowledge shard.

I too am not sure the rewards are worth it, but hasn't that always been the case with caravans? They tend to be very painful.

I'm concerned too about the impact on ability to do trades. Can't do meat trade since I need the chickens - but will have tons of fish after collecting 300 water. Can't do trapper trade since the wool and hide are needed for cloth. The jewelers trade needs 40 waters and will be a challenge even though collecting all those mushrooms will yield a surplus of glimmer dust.

Interesting challenges both in getting all the required resources and managing the surplus of related items that aren't needed.

midgetsocks
07-17-14, 12:35 PM

Personally,I just like the challenge of the quest - it's fun to have something to do and a reason to be collecting from things instead of just trying to build up inventory! Hopefully the reward is fantastic, but even if not, I'm still doing it because it's a challenge.

i regret skipping the first step with 10 gems even without thinking, i am not regret dumping my 99 silvers, which were redundant, but i have to forgo this ongoing quest now, cos 150 chickens are far more useful than a not particularly appealing reward, i can do 6 royal exchange with them thats 6 tickets i am talking about, or make for 6 spicy feasts... a bit disappointed with this update though...feel like a straight-pointed simple quest for you to just dump everything.

07-17-14, 12:52 PM
WOW! I have not been dedicating that much time to Castle Story lately, but I am an obsessive completer, so here we go! I like these quests that are not super easy to complete. I will say that I am really really disappointed that weaving of cloth takes place in the workshop. I am sad that the idea of rescuing a weaver from the Glimmerwood was not done. *sigh*. I am also going to finally edit my neighbour list, so I would love to add anyone who also needs neighbours. TL, please, please give us someone to rescue sometime soon!

No just a one-off thing you chop once to get the goodies. Seems like goodies might be the same for everyone this time, seeing as two people mentioned they got the same things? At least then there is no luck involved.

It just seems to get more and more ridiculous with what they want in these timed quests. Of course they shouldn't be easy, but what's easy to a level 40+ is far from easy for someone who's a level 20. I need my resources for more important stuff, like actually playing the game. It's obvious that gem buying is gonna be rampant, therefore, its obvious why they get more demanding. Also, the end result doesn't look like its worth the effort. If anyone wants to add me for the helping hand phase, I'm happy to help, but in my opinion it's time for players to say to TL, 'it's time to get realistic!' Rant over.

Next week's update is a global event?

Under 'Ask for a helping hand'
"(It's a global event)"

Meaning the more players do the tasks, either this week or next week or both, the more rewards we get both as individual and as community?
Can anyone from TL comment, will it be a community event like Dragon Story has? Thanks!

If so, I don't remember Castle Story having a community event, that would be awesome!! :) :) :)

Mentioned in the caravan,
-carnival tokens
-red and yellow ribbons
-fire to cook with
-chicken soup ingredients
-floral decorations
-tents

Snap! We have the same number of goldens :)

I'm still doing this one, to have the trove in storage not to crack it open. The collector in me says "must get unique item". Also it'll be bun to see how far I can push my kingdom to see how quickly I can do this and then recover my stocks.

Does anybody else have this problem?

tuffyjkitten
07-17-14, 02:01 PM
This is going to be a lot more involved than the previous challenge. We need water for the caravan but we also need it to craft the dyes, so we really need more than 300 if we didn't have all the dye on hand. And the high time to grow crops...I build some extra plots to help with that, plus I have to rotate in some wheat to make a few more loaves of bread.

I'm liking this challenge to my ingenuity as well as my resources. And I don't have a treasure trove or any of those other goals people are currently working on so I'm happy to do it. Especially since I just finished the DS tournament this morning and need something to do.

And I am very pleased that I put off finishing a building to get the last bit of wood for the Aquifer goal last night. Double water! :)

Have fun everyone! And I meant that literally, not sarcastically. :)

3840, to be precise. When I have an extra 35 bucks and there's a gem sale, I get 1400 of them. I don't eat out, go to movies, have a hubby, buy other games or have any kind of social life at all, lol. It's pathetic, actually. :)

Dang. I lost first round, then got stuck on the Angelfire and the Bladewing, but I digress.

Anyway, the game wouldn't be any fun if completing goals were easy. The only part I don't like is the ask for 100 helping hands. It's doable on my main account. But on my alt accounts, I only have 5-6 neighbours.

Does anyone know if the woven cloth and floral bouquets stay in the craft buildings u til the caravan is complete? Or do they disappear once you've ticked off those items in the caravan?

I finished them and they can still be made. I am making some more to have extra.

It's not a normal treasure trove it's a large one... mine contained:

5 gems
spicy feast
trade tickets
golden nuggets
golden apples
golden eggs

It doesn't stack with the other troves... as this one is called large.

I really, really wish i knew this reward before allocating my resources to it. Nothing wrong with a challange if the BIG reward is worth it. In this case i think it is not. The reward pic was so small that i thought it was a mini structure, so def something worth working on and started working on it. I am a bit dissapointed about this update. I love this game and spend way to much time on it, but this one i am going to skip and take my resource loses with a bitter feeling. On the other hand i can imagine if you reached your end level that this quest is a nice one to do. But i am not even close to lvl 50.

Goodluck everyone chasing this one.

Woven cloth = 20 wool, 10 hide and 3 hours.
The flowers are I think 5 purple, 5 white and 5 blue petals and 30 mins. Might be wrong on this as I've got some crafting at the moment.

Flowers: 5 each purple, blue & white flowers

My workshop still busy crafting cloth & don't remember but pretty sure it's the same as one of the previous quests. I'll try to find it & post back if I can.

I so agree with leojsufur!

Bring it on. Deplete my stock. Give me something to do. I don't care what the prize is.

Glad I check out the forum first. I was going to speed up a tower (They're in storage because I crash so much), then I saw how little carrots and cabbage I have.

I'm going to take my time, sit in air conditioning, and enjoy the game this weekend!!!

I enjoy this game quite a bit, I tend to blindly enter quests before checking the forum out. I have now put forward so much resources, I might as well try to finish it.

With so much flip flopping, and even though it is not going to impede future quest, it would be nice to have some rare item items, party building, etc. in my kingdom.

Thanks TeamLava for your work, phsycogical games and lessons of patience. :)

Same here. Thought it was a mini building, so I blew some bread, carrots, cabbages and water on it. Then I read on the forum( backwards, I know) and decided the reward is not worth spending my resources at this time. I have more pressing goals at my level (31). So onward with expansions and dragon breeding! Looking forward to the next quest, hopefully will be as much fun as the gazebo!

Y'know... I don't mind it being a challenge, but... this is a LOT of stuff, like an absolutely ridiculous amount. Not the least of which is the 100 Helping Hands, I mean that alone will take a minimum of 5 days. Sabina's wig will have to wait I guess.

Other than that, the woven cloths. *facepalm* My least favorite thing to make. Wool isn't that easy to come by.

No explanation about why coal is needed. Fuel for the fires for all this soup, I suppose?

Meh. At least I had all the red dye and yellow dye already on hand. And cabbages - knew I was farming those for more than just the gold!

On the bright side, I'll probably have loads of glimmerdust collecting all those mushrooms - oh, wait I was already maxed on that... Okay, well, I'll get a lot of eggs from all those chickens - no, wait, I'm always full up on eggs...

Oh come on peeps, it's not like the dragon eggs in the Pyre Caverns! Most of these are common or crafted items. I admit the silver ore will be a challenge but this is doable. And I do suspect (based on what comes out of the trove (others post)) that the spicy feasts are for some adventure with the next quests as are the golden items. Doing the caravan seems a quick way to get those rarities :)

calipitter
07-17-14, 07:13 PM
If I read this thread right there will be another update next week. This challenge lasts 14 days unless completed earlier. The reward will be the ability to continue that much earlier for those who complete it. Not sure if that means anything but I would hate to sit around waiting for a timer to run out while everyone else is progressing through the quests.

LadyFencer
07-17-14, 07:21 PM
I think the amount we have to give is a bit much, BUT it's certainly attainable in the time allotted. THANK YOU! I needed something like this after some of the recent quests.

SpiritWind00
07-17-14, 07:26 PM
That's not how I read it at all. I bet there is no update next week. That's what's happened in previous timed events. It's just the beginning of the festival activities, not do the caravan to get ahead. It says you don't have to do the caravan to continue, so it can't benefit the next bit, (although we can only speculate).

myndisue
07-17-14, 07:50 PM
It just seems to get more and more ridiculous with what they want in these timed quests. Of course they shouldn't be easy, but what's easy to a level 40+ is far from easy for someone who's a level 20. I need my resources for more important stuff, like actually playing the game. It's obvious that gem buying is gonna be rampant, therefore, its obvious why they get more demanding. Also, the end result doesn't look like its worth the effort. If anyone wants to add me for the helping hand phase, I'm happy to help, but in my opinion it's time for players to say to TL, 'it's time to get realistic!' Rant over.
I have 3 kingdoms; levels 41, 28, 19. And it's my 2 lower level ones that are the best prepared for this challenge. My level 19, Trenzalore, is not going to have any problems at all.

zenobia42
07-17-14, 07:53 PM
For those of us not maxed out on level and supplies, it is a tall order but doable. To break it down by base resources for each item for the caravan, as I count it :

75 wood
100 silver ore*
100 coal*
150 roast chickens*
150 cabbages
150 carrots
100 wheat
60 milk
50 hides*
100 wool
150 mushrooms
100 purple petals
100 blue petals
220 white petals
120 orange petals
90 red petals
455 water

[* indicates that item can only be gotten from sources not guaranteed to give you any - 10 clicks and you may get anywhere from 0-10.]
That is a total of 2,290 resources. If you have to collect them all, over 14 days, that is 164 per day.
Which may be more or fewer clicks depending on if your researched Aquifers and Agriculture. For me, the big problem is hides - I very recently got my first dragon egg drop from the Roost. So I spent all my hides building and upgrading libraries (level 2 = 25 hides) AND just used up my remaining hides in the Trapper Trade JUST before this event began (*facepalm* - didn't know we'd get it today). And hides are a PITA because, if you have my luck, you can click a dozen cows and sometimes only get 1-2 hides from those 12 clicks. Hides are going to be my biggest problem. That and silver ore, for the same reason - you can click many times and not get any.

Crafting:
Potion Shop - 65 crafts = 5 / day (collect and use an average of 45 petals per day).
Workshop - only the 15 beams and 5 cloths is easy to manage time-wise.
Magic Forge - nothing.
Kitchen - just 20 flour and 10 bread.

I think it's doable by anyone who manages their time wisely. For example: I am working on collecting the things that go into other things first. The mushrooms I will get once I've done everything else since they regen quickly and are assured. The only problem I see is the items you depend on chance to get - hides and silver ore mostly, but anything with a * on my list. There is nothing like having FINALLY gotten up to 9 hides from 0, and clicking 12 cows, and getting only ONE hide. It's already driving me crazy.

It's not that the caravan is unattainable - I'm actually pretty well stockpiled, even in dyes. It's just that I would spend so much time growing cabbages and carrots, and gathering mushrooms. For some reason, those are my least favorite things to do unless there's some payoff at the end. I would love to hear what people have found in their treasure troves. If there were expansion permits or large quantities of gold nuggets, I would totally be on board.

I don't think I saw this mentioned for Part 3 so I will ask: do we have to collect from a certain level of cottage or just any random cottage? It didn't seem that the watchtower had to be a particular level to unlock the caravan, but the gazebo collects were all for a particular level 1-5.

Just wondering if I also need to upgrade my cottage to level 5 during this or not. :)

That being said it's likely most of us will regret spending any of these resources when we come into next week's update without fully stocked inventories and it turns out to be another extremely time-limited quest that requires you to have full stockpiles if you're not going to spend gems.

48% cabbage
44% carrots

Also going away for weekend with no guarantee of wifi. Do I need to see a therapist or just keep reading here for moral support? It states in the game that it also gives you 20.000 coins and 35XP

And if I understood correctly, visiting the cottage is the end of it. There is more to come in future updates, but that will be independent from this one. Aka..it's up to you if you do fill the summer caravan or not

I guess the dark cave formation gives quite a bit, the iron rich rocks are less reliable and the large outcroppings even less so. I often make them in the forge out of 10 iron but it does take an hour.

It does seem like a lot for a treasure trover, however I am thinking what ever in it must be good! And if it gives gems it worth the lost resources! Cause those can be stocked up easily. I only get short on mushrooms and water for some reason, but I truly see 14 days in all things is doable :)
Of anyone get the treasure trove please let us know what's in it! I bet it totally worth unloading for :)

2 people have already posted the contents of their troves & it looks like they got the same thing - 5 gems, a spicy feast, a trade ticket, a golden apple/egg/nugget & some energy. (A mod wanna add that report to the 1st page?)

After some hee-hawing, I decided to do the caravan after all.
(Thx a lot, arm-twisting oliverrrrrrrr11 lol).
It's not really for the "large" treasure trove, per se... I mean, I'm playing the game to PLAY the game, right? Lol

My nemesis is WATER, jeez... I really need my awesome nbor Perry5's suggestion (hey Hoo!) right now and it needs to RAIN in my queendom!! - those alien lights we see every once in a while should be lightning and when we log in, we get an instant refill of water from the "thunderstorm" LOL

Happy collecting everybody! :)

Any hints on how to get the 100 silver?

Anyone needing neighbors can add me: my ID is Anaboe, and I play daily. I already have neighbors with whom I exchance gifts, but I reply to request several times a day. I don't visit (only to get the 10 energy), so if you don't mind, be my guest :)

I think too that the amount of asked ressources is ridiculous but I don't really have anything else to do for the moment so I hesitate to do or not this quest. I have a question: I saw that treasure troves give us some Gold stuff (Apples, Eggs & Nuggets) but does someone kwow how many exactly? If it's only one of each, I'll pass for sure. But I'm pretty interested if there are severals, especially Apples wich are too rare in my kingdom. Thanks for answer and good luck for all those who do this (crazy) quest. ;)

I have done:
41% Helping hands
All wooden beams
All woven cloth
36% silver ore (this one is gonna be HARD for me)
4 out of 30 yellow dye
6 out of 15 red dye
12 out of 20 bunches of flowers
All coal
61% water
74% roast chicken
71% cabbage
59% carrots
78% mushrooms
7 out of 10 bread

I think I'm doing well, I only don't know how to get that silver... All tips and advice is welcome (I already make silver in the Magic Forge, but that's only 1 per hour)

I had 99 silver ore that wasn't my issue since I got my tinker camp last week all I've done with it is make earth wisps and wisp lanterns. It's my coal which is going to be my challenge but with two weeks I can't seeing it bring an issue with me tapping every 30 mins or so on flowers or water, I'm going to post a request for water today in my wall. Although I'm just about ticking over. Had 99 sitting there as usual but with the dyes etc its a challenge.

But the question is, how much energy do we need to spend to get these things vs how much energy for the caravan?

I don't know if I'll do this one. I have 3800 gems, 75 spicy feasts, 130 trade tickets, 65 golden apples, and maxed on golden nuggets and eggs. I guess it's something to do, but I have my own little goals I'm working on that are making me happy.

Good luck, everyone! Have fun!

You could just start the quest and stockpile Bunches of Flowers and Woven Cloths for future quests. You can keep your Silver and Roasted Chickens for your feasts, and only concentrate on the crafted Items for the duration of this optional, non-required quest.

is anyone up to the challenge of maxing those items out as much as possible within the next two weeks. :)

I'm also a SAHM who doesn't drive and I totally understand. I don't stock up on gems though, I pretty much play the game without buying gems.

I'm a SAHM too that don't drive.. Think we need a club,.. I don't buy gems either do to all the gem traps,,, but once they fix that,,, may be ,,, I trying to re stock my water... You need to have collected the fourth shard from the tablet and completed its quest. Unfortunately the shards are rare drops so this may take awhile to get.

Just have to say I am a little irritated with these time based quests that require the contacting of neighbors.. I only have 10 "neighbors" and only 3 are still playing which means there is NO means by which I will complete this quest.. I figured out it was timed AFTER giving all of my inventory to the quest.. So I am quite irritated.. They need to have a banner or something on the submission screen of timed quests to let you know that it is timed before you give up all of your goods.. I wouldn't have done it had I known that I would only have 14 days to collect 100 neighbor responses when I can only expect to get 42 MAX with what I have.. In other words I just lost all of my stuff because I can't finish the quest, this along with the limited time of the last quest has turned me off a bit to this game and i have been playing for about a year and a half.

May I suggest you get some more neighbours. At the start of the last timed event I only had about 15 neighbours on my 2nd account and some of them were inactive, so I went on the add me thread and asked for neighbours on my other account. That account had 160 neighbours within 2 days. Problem sorted.

Like you, Outhouse, I decided to give this a go, just because it's great to be doing something else while I'm on the slow crawl to Sister, Sister. Also, it's quite satisfying to see all those supplies pop up when collecting from things like mines and Ivy's Hut after so long seeing the maxed out message. If you plan it, and use all your farm plots, this is very do-able.

Queenzod, my jaw is still dropped (in envy) at your golden supplies!!

It says it's timed in the quest book....right where you have to click on the caravan title to bring up the list of items. Clearly said you had 14 days yesterday.

And why give up when it's so easy to get neighbors? I had 26 people send me neighbor requests yesterday and I accepted them all.

Too many expensive requirements, it takes all the fun out for me. I am not doing this one.

My sentiments exactly

This and sister sister, frankly I cant be bothered anymore.
I only tap a few things now while checking Dragon Story, and even that's as boring as dirt now with too many new dragons and not enough breeding chance / habitats.

Argh! In the last 4 sparkling mine collections, I've gotten a grand total of ONE silver ore. ONE. *bangs head on wall.*

If I fail to complete this for not getting enough silver or hide or one of the other resources it requires that it is not humanly possible to overcome bad luck on for free, I may quit this game. If you can work the game down to the minute on collection times on every type of resource and still not get enough of some, that's just WRONG.

I have learned (the hard way) to keep a list of what's needed and what I have in my inventory. This way I don't give anything until I am sure I have everything needed, or at least have enough time to complete it. This way you dont end up giving up most of your resources and only miss completing the quest by a couple of items. Good Luck everyone!

If you have dark cave formations from adventures chop them up, each chop yields a silver or a jewel.

Thanks for the advice but I've never gotten one of those. The only useful things I've gotten from adventures (as in, not a pure decoration) are one fruit tree and one sheep. That's it. Been playing 3 months and adventure pretty much every day since I completed my Queen's Court. I mix it up adventure-wise, too, try them all (except I've only done the one that requires a Sweet Feast once yet - for the amount of picking and cooking to be done for it... not to mention the 50 silver required for it lol). I had the bad luck to have used up my silver supply a few days before this quest started on the double-whammy of 84 silver spent on the gazebo then 200 silver for silver platters for part of the faerie respite quest line. Before those quests, I had been saving up to complete the Alchemy research that now I'm thinking I'll never get done if every single limited-time quest requires 84+ silver.

I am wondering if I should just take a couple months not completing ANY quests at all, just to get reserves of everything built up. But then... what's the fun in that? It WOULD be nice if the next quest didn't require so many of the resources that you can get screwed by bad luck on. Like silver and hide. If you put in the time and good time management, it's just not right if bad luck can destroy your ability to finish.

It may have been posted in the pages I haven't read but a tip I found for this caravan:

Old Logs.

Every 1 chop to an Old Log ($600, clears in 3 chops) yields both 1 wood plus 1 petal (have seen all colors drop) / mushroom / glimmerdust / living wood. Considering almost all those things are needed in abundance for this caravan, the 2-for-1 on energy is a great deal IMO.

I think the Jewelers Trade frequently gives you silver.

CranberrySweet
07-18-14, 09:25 PM
But Jeweler's Trade also costs 40 water, which is something that will be in short supply for most people working on this quest. Good thing to remember though.

Also, I seem to be having trouble getting Helping Hands; I'm only at 21 after two days, so anyone who wants to add me, please do so! I play on and off all day every day, so I'm really good about returning requests too.

I had 15 chickens out when I was doing the roast, there was a couple times I got none but a few I got 12/15, there are a lot of people active right now so it depends on when u click on what u get. All of which when I had a monster , but successfully completed the task nonetheless

I always send out 20 neighbor requests only, to not "clog the system" to the people I know are active. But I only received 9 helping hands back on the first day. Now many of the neighbors I sent requests to visited my kingdom but did not send the helping hand. I am sure they didn't get the request or else they would have accepted it. So what is going on?

So today I will only send the request out to those 9 that responded and then pick 11 others who I didn't send the request to yesterday. Is that how everyone else manages this? I know those initial 20 that I sent out to are very active so would prefer to send it to the same 20 every day but it seems like they are not all getting the request?

This is not how it works.

There is no clogging. I sent out 100+ the first day, almost immediately got 21 back. The second day, without even sending, i got another 20 back. You should always send all possible out everyday. You can send unlimited, you can only receive 20 back (plus stormy) each day.

So in other threads were it says to only send 25-30 per day that is not true. Because there are many posts on the forum that say not to send out huge numbers per day.

Also nothing seems to explain why players who are active after I have sent out a request and visiting my kingdom etc. are not accepting or getting my requests:(

You could write on their wall "sent request did you receive it" maybe they will answer or they are just not answering at that time, just be polite and you might get an answer.

If you're desperate for neighbors, there is a thread for people looking to add neighbors. I also accept all neighbors' invitations from the forums. I play daily and answer requests like helping hands.

However, if you send me an invitation please be aware that my gifting partners are long established and my neighbors list is huge. I can only promise to return visits to those who post on my wall, so that I know they have visited - and can't always visit daily during the week due to work. I have so many visitors that the news on my wall can scroll off the bottom too fast even in 8 hours for me to catch all.

Good luck to all! :)

Anyone can add me as well. But I don't visit, or post. Just not a part of the game I do

My sentiments exactly

This and sister sister, frankly I cant be bothered anymore.
I only tap a few things now while checking Dragon Story, and even that's as boring as dirt now with too many new dragons and not enough breeding chance / habitats.

At least their business model is consistent I guess

I stopped playing Dragon Story for exactly that reason. This is now the only Storm8 game I play because quests are fun. At least I keep telling myself that.

I blindly started giving everything to this quest before I read the forums - silly me. So think I'm doing it just because I gave a lot to begin with. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I measure these by the reward for the time invested and this one comes up well short. The amount of energy needed to collect/make all of these items is better spent elsewhere.

I think the Jewelers Trade frequently gives you silver.

Tried it yesterday.

ZERO silver from it for me. Waste of water. :(

That was my first I ital thought as well, but the treasure trove, in it's large size, is something new. And it's something to do. I'm enjoying trying to rebuild resources

I want to thank those who took it upon themselves to request to be my neighbor.. I guess you must come here to get neighbors as I have never found an effective way to request neighbors from within the game itself Maybe I am missing something.. I took a day off from the game so I set myself behind in the quest but with the help from all of my new neighbors I might be able to complete this goal. The thing that irritated me so much is that I ended up spending a lot of Gems on the last limited time quest and partially due to my not thinking that once I had the pagoda I really didn't have to do the timed to end up building it out. And then this one comes about which time wise is really tight unless you have much of the items in the caravan.. I had no yellow or red ink so those I am going to have to stay on top of to get done.

Anyway again thank you for the neighbors..

It says it's timed in the quest book....right where you have to click on the caravan title to bring up the list of items. Clearly said you had 14 days yesterday.

And why give up when it's so easy to get neighbors? I had 26 people send me neighbor requests yesterday and I accepted them all.

Actually it doesn't indicate it was limited the very first time it comes up with the dialog story.. I was excited about it and then after I gave all the stuff my mind said this can't be a limited quest again (but alas it is) and I looked at the neighbor requirement and got very irritated because there was with what I had NO method of finishing it without paying out the ear for gems. I noticed in an earlier post that "Arikasi" did this same thing.

As for the neighbors I have found out it is easier to get neighbors from here and I thank all that have requested.. I do think they need an effective method for requesting neighbors in the game or I am just missing something that is there.

Since this quest started, it's really hard for me to get mermaid scales !!!
I got no more than 5 scales in 3 days !!!
It's only me or TL lowered the MS drop rate ?!?

I am really concerned about getting enough wool to make the fabric cloth in time. I just bought another sheep so that will give me three once the lamb grows up. It just seems to take forever to get enough wool. Is there any other ways to get wool quickly?

There is also the CS Add me forum. Someone posted the other day that they Received 160 invites after posting there:
http://forums.storm8.com/forumdisplay.php?110-Castle-Story-Add-Me

As to in-game invitations, I have had so many neighbors that quit before reaching 25 or 26, that I only add two types of neighbors, those who have invited me from the forums and those who visit several times and post comments on my wall. I got tired of adding all the spam invites who then disappear and quit playing. Sorry, but life is too short to manage hundreds of neighbors with no last date played to help weed out the early casual drop outs. :)

Huh...I saw the time requirement right away. Weird. Oh well, what's done is done and not worth arguing over.:)

I think most new players don't understand the neighbor system. That was something new to me whe I started DS but I had it figured out by starting CS. What I find is that most new people want you to visit and give them stuff but don't feel they have to do anything in return. I visit daily and answer request and return gifts eventually (dang that 3 per day limit!) but I keep careful track of who does so in return. That way I can easily "adjust" my list from time to time.

My chickens and sheep and mines have all gone on vacation. I collected from the hatchery and 5 chickens and ended up with no roast chicken but did have 2 friendly fangbeasts visit during those 6 clicks and take the rest of my energy. Not fair TL!! :(

Since you need 300 waters for the caravan plus lots more for the dyes, you'll get your mermaid scales. Just keep collecting the water.

I'm not doing this quest but I play this game a lot (the only game I play in my iphone).
Today, I got only 1 MS for the all day ! Although I collected hundreds times =/

It doesn't matter. Just do it. You'll be a better person for it. (At the very least, you'll be better than Queenzod)

Fine fine fine... Started. Have 66% of carrots already. No chance Queen B (Binky) will do this. She doesn't lower her resources under 80%. (yes, QZ, I am jealous of your feasts.... And gems!!)

What is the purpose of having resources if not to use them to play the game? I'm loving this scavenger hunt! Juggling 3 accounts on one device is a little hectic, but that's my neurosis, lol. Have fun everyone!

I do when it's worth it, I.e. Advances the story or has a decent reward. I am responding to all requests from my neighbors, tho. I have made 4 more spicy feasts since this started. I'm now up to 77. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Hate me because I'm morally inferior. :)

Ok this is the third time in a row that NO wool has dropped from the stable. :( :( I swear the drop time for the sheep tripled...or am I just checking obsessively since I need 7 more wool for my final woven cloth?

And enough with the monsters!! In the last 3 hours I've had 4 fangbeasts, a skunkupine, and 2 trolls. At least Thurston found his pants...

How soon will it be, before we get new squares to add to?
I have been at level 50 for a good long time now.
100 earth wisps, 100 lanterns, 1.7 million. Most of my stuff is 99 or more. Except, of course for Cabbages and Carrots.

I totally agree! I love the challenge and I need these to keep it interesting! This is why we hoard our resources, right?

I personally hoard resources because I still remember the christmas madness when the timed quests were impossible to accomplish without being well stocked or paying gems.
