Trees as future decorations?

I guess the title says it all... I'd love to be able to decorate with (bought) trees! Especially since I accidentally cleared a weed tree that I've kept because I liked the way it looks.

I think that if there are going to be tree decorations, there is going to be a pot under it to distinguish it. I don't think it is possible to have a normal in-the-ground tree without a glitch of some kind.
