It is a pretty one. That is the third champion since I stopped hatching them. I guess I will build another champion habitat and drop Bronzetalon, Emerald Knight and AngelFire in.

but then the game crashed and when I turned it back on I noticed that the arena was ready for another battle it says round 1 but shows Pansy level (11) which was the dragon I was battling before the tournament started, so I reset my Ipad 3 times and Pansy keeps showing up, (I won once agains Pansy but then the game crashed and then I lost the next round to pansy) so I battled Pansy again and won with Immortal, so I decided to speed up the arena and round 2 shows fireworks (1) which I beat with Immortal,
hoping that the game kinks are now worked out on my dragon island

Yeah my Easter Egg lost to the Illusionist too, it was estimated at a 90% win rate..

It almost seems that early losses mean an easier second half of the tournament. So - take heart - all may not be lost.
I have won the last two tournaments with no diamonds, one level 7 champion and a smattering of other odd dragons - none of which are epic. It IS possible - it just takes perseverance, time and a little luck.

One time, something like that happened to me, but my game didn't crash, I beat the dragon from the 1st round, when suddenly I got a roll back, the arena was ready to battle again, I started the tourney again, but from the middle, I just did 12 rounds instead of 30 rounds. I recommend you to send an email to TL support, if you didn't do that already, just for them to see if they know what happened.

Take screenshots when you are inside of the battle arena, before you enter in the arena to battle, so TL can see the opponent and how much rounds you have to do.
GL with that so you can win the dragon :)

Dragon battle report...

Didn't finish the last 2 tourneys, had family staying with me, so my dragon team is all ready to go! :) But my poor lightning has been losing all his battles lately. I think he is jealous of quartz on her winning streak. Having a pout! Lol

Anyway, tourney so far...
Rainbow trounced iridescent with a single magic! Okay, my rainbow is epic, so not a huge shocker, but a satisfying start. Gemstones are still dominating in battle - topaz level 8 took out illusionist 1 and Emerald level 8 shut out the underworld. Marshmallow, recently epic, defeated fireworks in a single burst of sugary sweet magic. A brief pause ensued to clean the tournament grounds.

And that's how things are going on my island! Good luck everyone!!!

Probably the same way my EPIC Crusader lost to the Underworld. oh well...

Underworld can be a wicked competitor. I have observed that in "free style" battles - those fought between tournaments - it is VERY common for TL to "audition" dragons that will be used in the next tournament. Underworld was one of these. At level 13, it took me 5 tries to beat it - finally doing so with Black Diamond.

Wow, looks like I'm behind... I'm on round 14: Pride.

So, I've done some math, and according to numbers, I shoud spent over 72 hours in order te win this tourney, 56 hours to spent left. Since the timer ends sunday morning, 07.00, I have 3,5 day left, 84 hour. In these days I need to sleep (4 nights, 8 hours) and do stuff, so that leaves 52 hours. Mmm... there's a problem: I need 56 hours, and I only have 52 hours.

Of course these are all averages.

My solution: use ulti on first try in round 25 and round 30, so I only need 38 hours. That way I have (52-38=) 14 hours left for bad luck and other stuff, and I could even try to win round 30 if I have enough time left. :)

I play it safe, and know I'm gonna win this dragon for only 60 gold or less - plus, I'm not gonna get frustrated over those icky lvl 20 Champions and Diamond-hybrids :D Win-win.

Hey I'm not sure where you're located... but are you sure about only having 3.5 days left? I'm in the same time zone as TL and I figure we have half of Wednesday plus all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to complete the tournament. I wouldn't argue against using ultimate for Round 25 and 30 (if nothing else it maintains one's sanity) - but you might have more time than you've plotted out.

I won't give up on other interests - I do have a life away from Dragonstory! I have a job and a family among other things .....

I don't think I have ever been at any other place in a tournament at the same time - 24ish hours after the beginning. There is PLENTY of time. I have never failed to complete a tournament - and have won the majority of them using no gold.

There is TIME. No need to panic anyone.....

I keep losing every other battle, this time Epic Sentinel lose to Pixie 9. Not sure if anyone else has issues with the Sentinel but it has been doing poorly the last few tournaments for me. I dont like using it but when the calc says 80% and I lose 2 of 3 times, not sure I will keep trying with him.

Yeah I guess third time is a charm using my battle champs.. Razorback beat Pixie finally but still I was a bit shocked at how much damage that Pixie did on a higher stronger opponent.

All champs can beat pride. It might just take 3, 4, or 5 times to do it. Its random and luck.

Exactly right as my Bronzetalon won on my 4th attempt. I just had to wait for it to come out of the spa after losing previously. For some completely random reason after that I didn't lose again until round 25 Dynasty, which took 5 tries and was finally defeated by my newly hatched baby Peacock after all my champs failed again. I'm waiting for them to finish their spa time so I can keep going.

I haven't gotten to Razorback yet in this tournament. But, I've beaten Razorback in three different tournaments using Turtle 8, epic Water, epic Goodwitch. The Turtle 8 win was the Razorback tournament, my first. I did have Ninja 8 but I only used him twice. I did not have any diamonds and very few epic dragons.

You might focus just on one, then put the rest of your food to feeding a red-green like landworm or expired, especially if you got forestfire from wheel, a green-blue like Atlantis, a black like lotus, a pink especially lightning or the new mining one or marshmallow if you have that, a blue-white or blue-yellow, and a gemstone like sapphire or topaz. Just pick your 6 best fighters and only feed those until you get them to 9. At 9, they win almost as well as an epic and you don't need quite so much food. Then you'd have a few options. :)

I lost against Pixie 3 times using my top brass, finally it ended up going down with a Champion from the tourney..I went with the odds and it was ticking me off losing so often as I did. Go with what the percentages say will work and keep firing away.

With my Level 10 Atlantis I've been able to beat most of the stone family of dragons - Atlantis defeated Golem (lvl 13), Turquoise (lvl 14), Stone (lvl 13), and Mossrock (lvl 14) but was unable to beat Prisms at Lvl 12 and Lvl 14.

Against pink purple you have a lot of options. Any treasure, any black-green, especially black rose or jade, Emerald, Quartz, mask are best chances, but if none of those you can try any fairytale especially hook, any single color green pink or black like kitsune or dawntree, green-pink pansy or flower, any royal, zodiac or gemstone. If you don't have anything else, you can always try forest, especially if epic. Good luck!

Crafting is your friend. :) For a long while the only black I had was lotus cuz I crafted it. It's worth a few days of neighbor requests for the lotus parts. Sapphire is another good one to craft.

It's good against stone, especially for those without the super rare tropics or royals. It sometimes will win against prism, with a lot of luck lol. It does pretty well against black-white and black-red. There's a lot of options against blacks though.

Crafting is your friend. :) For a long while the only black I had was lotus cuz I crafted it. It's worth a few days of neighbor requests for the lotus parts. Sapphire is another good one to craft.

Great advice. It took me many months but I crafted all the gemstone type dragons, just got Quartz a couple of weeks ago. I did bred a couple of Gemstone and Onyx lately but not on purpose. Quartz is my favorite but I have used all of them in the arena.

After the last tournament I decided to use only babies for one battle in every major tournament. This tournament I chose Razorback. Was pleasantly surprised it only took 4 tries.

Thought Crusader and Helios would put up more of a fight they turned out to be wimps.

Wow, I finally beat Cancer with an epic Champion, so, because this tourney was so hard, I was prepared to ulti Razorback, but I finished him first round, first blow! Don't remember who said Marshmallow was good against this Champ, but it sure did the trick! Thanks!

I really don't need a 13th Champion much, so i've decided to stay off the Ultimates for this one, i've just lost first try against Dynasty 20, my Diamond 10 lost - i know that with TL logic an epic Ultra Rare has same winning chance as a common lvl1 dragon but i dislike that a lot so i'll stick to sending in strong ones....and let the line outside spa grow longer i guess!

Interesting seeing if i'll make it through, and if i don't then it's just one less Champion that'd sit in habitat not getting leveled up!:)

Well .. I have got at least 3 champions down with low level dragons - this time I used level 3 luck after losing 3 others also very low ... try using your babies so you dont have a nightmare queue to the spa !

And I must be just balanced on the fence - a high enough level that the tournament has dropped into "hard", yet still low enough to have no epics and very few dragons of any fighting ability. This tournament does not look winnable for me - for my secondary account. Sad. It would have been nice to have a champion....

I was in your same position a few months ago - I could win a lot of rounds with breedable super rares (like Aether, Landworm, etc) and unbreedable dragons from Summonings / World Events, but I couldn't beat the top dragons in the tournament. Eventually, I got far enough along in a tournament that I was able to use gold for ultimates and won a champion dragon - I'd have to use up to seven ultimates but it was still a lot cheaper than trying to buy a champion in a value pack. A few months later I finally bred a diamond and then the easy hybrids - but the tournaments are still hard to finish without buying ultimate (I don't have the patience to ride out a string of losses that extends more than seven in a row).

I beat Cirque with Gemstone 8 in every other tournament Cirque has appeared, came so close to winning this one I couldn't believe Gemstone
lost. Put Gemstone in the spa and while he was there recuperating I choose Soccer for no other reason than I had to wait
around for Gemstone, so why not? To my amazement Soccer 3 took Cirque out with one big hit. LOL!

well I have had no real problems with this tournament the hardest for me so far was black diamond with 5 losses, before I won, otherwise I have been sailing thru the battles, (I ultimated round 20, I really didn't even give it a chance after the first loss I used ultimate next) so my next battle is with dynasty, you know My Dynasty is a wimp in the battle arena I doubt he has even won 10% of any battles he has been in, here is to hoping round 25 Dynasty is a wimp also

Lol, I could have writen it myself! I do EXACT the same thing, exept I didn't breed the diamond, but bought it. My advantage was that I switched from Android to Apple when I was over lvl 100, and had quite a lot of epic super rares already. That's why I only lost 1 tournament since I started them (because I had too little gold, because I just bought a Gilded dragon).

I'm on a roll, Razorback, Helios, Wildflower, Black Diamond, Father, Cirque, and Anubis all fell within 2 battles (used only Epic Champions, Diamond and Quetzal). Next: Quetzal and Angelfire :)
