I ended up using ultimate on Razorback. I was going on my 9th loss and that is generally my limit.

Oh thank god. I was dreading Helios as I always struggle with it. Once again Diamond came through on the last bash with just a sliver of life left.

Diamond and infinity have the highest chance of winning .. if they lose then cycle the other 2 I suggested through the spa ... Black diamond and all the diamond hybrids are hard .. I have had situations where i have lost 5-6 times on the trot :)

What I usually do is try diamond .. if he loses then put him in spa, try next one and if that one loses, when diamond comes out of spa put first one in and just cycle it around .. throwing in lily for good measure or any other white based super rare :)

I have defeated Black Diamond with my Epic Diamond this tournament. Quetzal lost to Black Diamond before that.

Anyone any tips on Angelfire? I'm changing between the Baby-Brigade and Epic Champions/Diamond/Diamond-hybrids, but dunno how long it will take. I'm not in a hurry, still got enough time, but some tips could come handy :)

My Templar was utterly useless this tournament. Winning about 20% in the first 10 rounds. My diamond undefeated against other diamond types. My commons took out rd 20, 25, and 30. So weird.

Using the other site. I used the top non champion dragon and was near 100% on wins

Welcome to my world :) I am beginning to get mildly annoyed - my champion so hard fought a few months ago, has been utterly useless - I have lost him 4 times with a supposed 35% chance. All others have lost too .. i am now on my 10th try - beginning to get to the Ultimate point which I wanted to save for getting stuck on Dynasty !!

You could try Soccer and soccer derivatives, then Spring, Lightning, possibly gemstone - especially Jade (which I dont have).
Others have managed with Lightmare (which I also dont have !).

As its a champ I would try Diamond/Infinity/Passion/Pyramid if you have any and then cycle through your level 1 babies .. I got Razorback with those after 4 attempts .. totally know how you feel as I was stuck on Wildflower all day !!!

The first time I tried Kitsune, it didn't work. However, after rejuvenating it in the healing spring and checking the calculator to see it was my best bet, I tried it again. Much to my pleasant surprise, my Kitsune just defeated Wildflower with two hits! Thank you! :)

Wow, went to visit the in-laws for the holiday and missed all this fun... I was overly frustrated with the last tourney and stayed out of the arena but never considered quitting the game. It's a game people, I mean sheeple...oh nevermind.

Thinking like Tasha has made DS a better place to be for me also, much more enjoyable. Shouldn't take it too seriously, and even if every little thing in game is set up to make us spend gold (which to a point is necessary if we're to have a game to play at all) DS is quite nice if you don't - lower expectations a bit and treat it for what it is: just a game.

I did finish the tournament, and i'm surprised what a smooth run it was, highly unusual! No Ultimate spent, a smallish batch of gold used to sped arena up - if i could've played more often during daytime there had been no need for speeding even.

I like it, and after so many nasty lotteries in which i struggled it brings even more joy knowing it's a well deserved victory!

Not sure to do with Angelfire, i think i'll just leave her in storage until i've leveled up the other Champs...or until i get another Champ that needs a habitat.

Anyway, gratz to everyone else who has won, and the best of luck to all of you who are struggling still - may the gods of randomness be on your side!

I was stuck on Pride as I don't have any of the battle recommendation types listed. Put half my dragons in the healing ward and cut my income by 65%. rofl

I finally got dynasty with a level 6 kitsune - while waiting for my diamond and passion to heal. I have good luck using pink against champs

Freesia - I am with you totally. I had a nightmare day with wildflower yesterday and am now having a nightmare day with Dynasty !!! Tried everyone's suggestions and mostly using babies - so far about 10 losses in a row :( Just running out of willpower and am on the verge of ultimating. After the easy time I had last time I guess this is karma !!!
To be honest what this tournament has taught me is once again my Fluffles (Marshmallow) and Emerald are champs .. more than my champion who has failed pretty much EVERY time :(

Well - people have been successful with anything that has a main pink colour : lightning, acrobat, naga, black swan, kitsune.

One magic from the Quetzal took out Black Diamond for me. Hopefully you can get past it quickly :) It probably was just a gift from the TL gods considering I lost to the Wildflower 9 times :(

Larelyn - you just need to keep cycling your diamonds through the spa and re-using them. It took me 8 tries to get Helios down.

Maizee : its a champ - you just have to keep cycling through the usuals you have used for champions ... eventually you will get it !!
Put them through the spa, put in the babies when the others are healing .. and keep at it .. you will make it :)

For Anubis, Quetzal is your best bet. I got lucky and my Q got it the first time out. After that go with any diamond or diamond hybrid.

Honestly maizee - level doesnt matter .. I have had a level 1 fire take out a level 20 champion before. Diamond, Passion, inifinity, pyramid and soccer just have a little extra edge, the rest is luck !

try some of the very low levels to give your dragons a chance to heal - you never know it might work :)
Someone beat angelfire with a level 3 hibiscus .. some with a level 4 soccer .. try a really young dragon to give your mains a break .. hang in there :)

I fully expected to go into tomorrow and be fighting. What I noticed (like it matters anyway haha) is that fire and air elements were faring better than others as I kept losing over and over..so firestorm would get it lower than say coral or winter did...so I decided to try the Amber which had those two and night..but I imagine it doesnt matter, rather odds are all that matters. I was moaning early on for losing so many early, then it evened out in the middle and the end was the grind it always is.

After almost 2 days spent on Anubus I couldn't take it anymore and used Ultimate the last two rounds went easy with diamond winning both rounds Angelfire is now in the nest to all of you still battling good luck to you and congratulations to all who have finished, I sailed thru all the rounds but for some reason Anubus was very hard prior to this I never went more than 17 rounds before winning I was on my 23 battle with Anubus.

I have tried Jewelry 5, White Rose 10, Parakeet 10, Pyramid 10, Hibiscus 4, Rainbow 10, Air 10, Dawntree 7, Landworm 10, Atlantis 10, Virtue 7, Gingerbread 10, Serpent 10, Athletic 1 & Lily 10. I am going to try Honeybee & my champs next but happy to read suggestions. I get close with the yellow/green/red combos.

Sadly, Tropic has never won anything for me. Maybe if we bred the rarer hybrids.

I still can't beat Anubis, lost almost everything pink or green to it.

My second account was stuck for a day on Cirque, finally got him with baby Soccer. Next Anubis beat Diamond then lost to Acrobat.
