You have to click on hearts in the neighbor's kingdom; apparently any heart, not just shops.


It looks like for Visiting Neighbor's Shops, you only need to tap 50 hearts of your Neighbors' kingdoms, and you don't need to visit 50 individual neighbors. So if you really want to help out your neighbors..., please click on your buildings!


If you see neighbours have responded to your request but your counter hasn't gone up, force close and restart the game to see the increase.

Note that the artisans are an item that goes into your inventory so it's likely that the 20 requests back a day limit applies.



About the resources needed for this event (more or less):

285 wood (including the resources for the wooden beams, fancy beams and royal beams); 95 stone; 6 simple glue; 6 super glue; 96 iron ore; 54 jewels; 64 silver ore; 2 yellow dye; 55 pile of seed; 8 royal beams; 100 wool; 80 hide; 5 red dye; 5 blue dye; 25 fertilizer; 72 water; 3 faerie jar; 30 fur; 119 sap (fancy beams and glues); 24 glimmerdust (super glue).

I?m probably missing something, but in general this is what we are going to need.


From what I've seen, we might need as many as 95-125 piles of seeds and 6 yellow dye.



You can still upgrade the Gazebo to LV 5 and get all of the drops, even if you don't complete the quests by the time limit.

However, you won't be able to make the artisan's Hammer, Giant Seeds, or Bolts of Cloth after the event ends because those are tied to the quests themselves.

It's funny, just last night I was lamenting that I started playing this game well after the VD (Valentine's Day) limited time event that so many kingdoms are full of, and wishing we'd get a new limited-time story. So, THANKS!

It looks like for Visiting Neighbor's Shops, you only need to tap 50 hearts of your Neighbors' kingdoms, and you don't need to visit 50 individual neighbors. So if you really want to help out your neighbors..., please click on your buildings!

I think it should be more logical that we can send more than 20 because this is time limited event and we would lose 3 days if the limit is set to 20. But since I don't know the TL logic is the reason I'm asking Aggwynn and Glimmergate for confirmation.... pls?

I've just noticed something a little odd - in my inventory the information about the "wanted: artisan" things (which I wasn't really expecting to see in there anyway - but it's showing the number of requests I have received so far in there) says they are "a token from the Faerie Queen Ivinea". It also says there's a max of 3 (even though I currently have 13). I'm guessing this is some kind of glitch and it's confusing two different things, right?

If it helps, the other quests I'm currently working on as well as "the degree is too darn high" are: "a little persuasion", "just discovered fire", "four trinkets of blessing" and "sister sister". Any idea what's going on?

I have 22 artisans returned, that's it for today. It won't take you 3 days, 2 at most. Get yourself prepared, make what you can in advance, build more conservatories if you have to. I do think the requests at the beginning is a bit of a cheek, especially when it will be over 2 changeovers. Anyhow, moving on.... I've also sent out the adventure now but do not collect. We've been able to do that in past ones, so that can't hurt to do and might save a day.

It will probably not show up until you reach that particular part of the quest.

You might need better neighbors. I have alot of request today and answer all of them. I have found not all my neighbors response I remove them at times like these and get better neighbors.

Oh, shoot, part 3 requires 200,000 gold coins. I know most people here are max level and have millions of gold coins lying around and are always surprised not everyone does, but I've only been playing a couple months and only at level 29. I thought I was doing pretty well to get my income up to about 30,000 gold coins a day. But since I've been actually spending them as I go along to get buildings and stuff required for open quests, I started the day with only about 90,000 coins. That means even if I didn't spend a penny (on, say trees and iron-rich rocks to be able to build the stuff you need for this quest), it'll take me 4 days just to save up enough gold coins for part 3. I do wish they'd make these more feasible for players in my shoes, who actually have needed to spend coins and resources every day just to complete our regular quests, and don't have the stockpiles of millions of gold and dozens of everything from the workshops, potion shops, magic forges and kitchens. I mean, if I had any clue whatsoever I would need to save up 200,000 coins, I would not have spent 80,000 on an expansion yesterday to make room for an amphitheater for the Micro-Managing quest... which thank goodness I did not have enough gold to buy this morning! Anyway, I will have only 7 days for parts the final 13 of 16 parts, a day less than most. But will still try to get as far as I can for free. I got my 6 yellow dyes done and working on the 5 blue and 5 red ones. And got 5 fancy beams ready for step 4 and then will ready 5 royal beams from scratch for step 5, but I'm nearly out of wood and afraid to spend coins on trees when I need to save for 4 days to complete step 3.

You need to romaning bandit goals so if you send out for that and wait you can collect it for the goal and it will be ready when you hit that goal to do that, if make it faster so you don't have to wait a day to have that goal complete . make sense?

ahhh but this is exactly what i LIKE about CS and challenges like this! The strategy involved in planning the resources... timing the crafting buildings... deciding where to spend precious energy and how to earn the most coins! You can do it - you will be able to build up to 200,000 coins no problem - use the time to gather resources in advance and you will breeze through! Good luck!

Now, having said all that... I am quite alarmed at the VAST AMOUNTS of wool needed! I JUST finished the Griselda fashion police thing, and also had to give a lot of wool to something else (some building upgrades maybe?) so I have very little on hand, and only 4 little sheep. Thank goodness the bolts-of-cloth part is a few days out. Wish me luck with shearing!

Earlier, I had only sent requests to people that sent me requests (~43), but when my answered requests capped at 20, I stopped sending out new requests. I then sent out a request to Stormie, and he pushed me to 21!!

Did you send some out yesterday? I think they're referring to the limit of 20 responses that will go toward the goal/day no matter how many responses you actually get per day.

Edit _ oh and the day have just reset 45 mins ago. You could be getting some responses from yesterday so that isn't included in today's limit of 20.

Didn't receive any hides. Strange that these rare occasions always happening if you are in need of them :D. Anyways I like this update. It is challenging and will require a lot of resource planning. Love it, but I think that for most players this will be a tight call. Including me. I am just a lvl 35 and collecting 200k also takes time for me. Luckily I was saving money to upgrade one of wizard schools, so coins wouldn?t be any problem for me this time.

But no complaints from my side, because I don?t believe in the concept of free games. If you want better progress, if you want to have a beautiful kingdom, if you want this new thingy in your kingdom well be prepared to draw your wallet (sorry credit card). I am certain they will earn from this event as well.

First, I want to add my thanks to bobbo26 and shipower for gemming ahead and posting the quest requirements.

My kids are level 21 and 28, one with no sheep and 1 stable, the other with 1 sheep and 2 stables. I've recommended that they don't start this quest because of the wool requirements - my son is still trying to upgrade Kaz castle and just made another cloth 2 days ago - bad timing. I agree that hide and coins could also be a big challenge to lower level players.

Does anyone know how many gems it would be to skip the woven cloth or the bolts of fabric? And by any chance is the woven cloth for this the same as needed for Kaz castle?

I really would hate for my kids to have this big unfinished item taking up space in their kingdoms if they couldn't get all the resources in time to complete it. They have been losing interest in the game as it is -- I think magic cement and architects paste are doing my son in, and my poor daughter pretty much gave up after spending months collecting water and mermaid scales for the pink alicorn (she had a mermaid pond but no knowledge shards).

Although I am sympathetic to the frustration you must feel, please realize that these events are meant to challenge players. This includes strategizing on use of resources and preparing as well as you can for any possibility. That includes holding off on expansions and delaying some quest completions.

I've been prepping lanterns, expansion permits, and saving coins because I want to expand, but held off because I didn't know what I would need for this event. I am not a patient person, so waiting to expand my kingdom drives me a bit bonkers. LOL

You're certainly headed in the right direction to complete this goal, so best of luck to you!

Oh, shoot, part 3 requires 200,000 gold coins. I know most people here are max level and have millions of gold coins lying around and are always surprised not everyone does, but I've only been playing a couple months and only at level 29. I thought I was doing pretty well to get my income up to about 30,000 gold coins a day. But since I've been actually spending them as I go along to get buildings and stuff required for open quests, I started the day with only about 90,000 coins. That means even if I didn't spend a penny (on, say trees and iron-rich rocks to be able to build the stuff you need for this quest), it'll take me 4 days just to save up enough gold coins for part 3. I do wish they'd make these more feasible for players in my shoes, who actually have needed to spend coins and resources every day just to complete our regular quests, and don't have the stockpiles of millions of gold and dozens of everything from the workshops, potion shops, magic forges and kitchens. I mean, if I had any clue whatsoever I would need to save up 200,000 coins, I would not have spent 80,000 on an expansion yesterday to make room for an amphitheater for the Micro-Managing quest... which thank goodness I did not have enough gold to buy this morning! Anyway, I will have only 7 days for parts the final 13 of 16 parts, a day less than most. But will still try to get as far as I can for free. I got my 6 yellow dyes done and working on the 5 blue and 5 red ones. And got 5 fancy beams ready for step 4 and then will ready 5 royal beams from scratch for step 5, but I'm nearly out of wood and afraid to spend coins on trees when I need to save for 4 days to complete step 3.

I am totally with you on the concept of not getting everything you want for free. It is my personal belief (and one not necessarily for everyone) that if I enjoy a game, it means I should support the people at the company who make the game happen for me. If I enjoy a free game, I always make at least one in-app purchase, usually considerably more. I had been buying pretty consistently in this game over a couple months until recently. I also feel, speaking in generalities, that if you do the right thing by them, if you pay a company good money for their product, that they should in turn do the right thing by you, and if they royally screw over (accidentally or by design) the paying customer, they should make restitution to him/her. Because when I do the right thing by a company, I expect them to do the right thing by me, to treat me fairly and decently as a paying customer. If I am willing to continually give them honest money, they should not take my money in a way that is tantamount to theft. Again, just speaking in generalities here.

Anyway, back on subject, I am now a free player of this game. I hope I can complete this storyline for free (with only 1 sheep - eep!), but if I cannot, I am not paying this company any more of my honest money. The current gem sale I have is the first I will ignore instead of stocking up.

I think it's more likely that they're getting more than 21 because the time changed to a new "TL" day and they had sent out more than 21 requests. With the new day, other people can respond that didn't the day before.

Yes, I would be thankful too. :) in your case, 40-42 would be normal in 2 days of requests. I would bet that it is likely a couple of or a few people got the request at the same time to get you to 43. I like to remind myself that timing is everything. :) I imagine it will take everyone part of 3 days to get all that are needed.

Team Lava did post on the discussion forums that a limited time event was coming up at the end of June. That being said, if you didn't know to look for the weekly Thursday updates you would have missed it. :( I started in March and completely missed the whole pot of gold event as I had no idea what was going on and hadn't yet started stalking the forums.

I was just sharing my strategy for preparing for events like this. Since Castle Story is more of a long-play game, it makes strategic sense for me to restock on resources periodically.

I don't think you will reach 100 wool with one lone sheep, as I think he'll be bald before you get anywhere close to your goal. But, building extra stables (if you have resources) will give you extra wool and hides which are both needed.

Are you talking about the gem purchase screen where you normally get the options of packages of gems to choose from?
I've had that happen before but not right now. Have you tried force closing the game or rebooting your device? If none of those work, then as a last resort maybe reinstalling the game might fix it.

1) Force close your game
2) Log out of your iTunes account
3) Log into your iTunes account
4) Make sure your payment info is correct and your country matches the one for your device settings

It threw me to discover that I needed two. I am usually quite good at following directions, but the amounts required for the silver leaf and golden leaf in the goal are enough for ONE golden hammer AND the goal specifically says AAAAAAAAA golden hammer. Then it requires two. I am just gonna spell this out for those, like me, who may be thrown. LOL ;-)

Was this by design? If so, My feedback is to please be clearer. "Craft golden hammers" not "Craft a golden hammer" and the amount of silver & golden leaf should correspond to the number of hammer required. Otherwise it is unclear at best & misleading at worst.

Boy that is a LOT! Glad I finally have four sheep, at fours hours between collections, that will take 100 hours, assuming no sleep, no breaks and that I am starting from zero. Fortunately, I try to stay above fifty, so it won't be too bad. Those with less sheep, on the other hand might have quite the challenge on their hands.

Of course, there's also the stables, but I'm not sure how much they give. I usually get one or two every other collection, I think.

Yes, I had to do a double take as I was reading through it and realized 2 golden hammers would be needed eventually. I just take it as there's a difference between the quest that requires one golden hammer to be crafted and the following quests. A lot of their quests are like that though. One shows you how to make it in the first place, then you need more. :)

Tip for anyone else who needs to save up for the 200,000 gold coins needed to upgrade the gazebo to level 2 in step 3: if you **** enough trolls while collecting everything, the Troll Parts Exchange will get you 25,000 gold coins. I'm doing this and it will mean I will be able to complete step 3 once the change of day allows me to complete step 2.

It's about collecting from the adventure in either the keep or barracks. Not about sending... You have to finish it to get the reward.

I'm sure it has to stay there since we need 2 more after the first five hammers. I haven't reached that point to know when it goes away. Possibly after the 2 golden hammers are made.

Yes, it stays until the golden hammers are done. I've moved on to the cloth part now and the option is gone. You'll be nearly out of wood at that point so save some energy for chopping!

Been busy recently, so didn't start this questline until yesterday morning - sent requests to 70 neighbours all in one go then didn't check game again until just now, have all 50 needed already, so just had to go on my neighbour visits to move on.

Good luck! I didn't pay attention to exactly when it disappeared, but by the time I started making cloth it was gone. I kinda wanted an extra too, cos it's neat looking, but I didn't want to use every drop of silver and wood I have. Anything less than 70 and I stop crafting. Anything less than 30 and I start getting anxiety induced stomach pains. :)

I still have the option to craft golden hammers after collecting two. Seems like it stays until the two goals to upgrade the gazebo are finished.


Edit: They do stay until the upgrades are done. Just finished upgrading the gazebo to lvl 3, and the options to craft golden hammers/workers hammers are gone.

You will only receive a max of 20 per day, the rest will turn up when the day resets

You are most welcome! Strange that word does not mean what you think it means, lol. I just put in the 3rd and 4th bolts of cloth, and they'll be done tonight, then the last one goes in (or is skipped for 5 gems), so it looks like I'll finish up tomorrow. This was a nice update. Easy and pretty!

Does anyone know if woven cloth in inventory also counts, or must that be crafted once you get to that step? My son is working on updating the troll castle and has the option to craft the cloth for that. He's maxed on hide so it would be nice to get started on this

When I was collecting petals from white poppies and the yellow flower, they produced seeds. When I collected from the red trillium and blue larkspur, they did not. Those were the only ones I used. Seemed a little strange. Maybe someone else has a different experience.

Thanks, that's interesting since they hinted that colored flowers tended to do better. I actually did get seeds from red trilliums and multicolored hedges, too. I have since found out that after crafting some giant seeds that the flowers can still drop seeds. So I'm hoping to finish the event maxed out on seeds, still. I haven't crafted 10 giant seeds yet, though and won't until I'm maxed out on piles of seeds again. :)

Call me weird if you like. I'm loving this one. I'm at the leaf and hammer stage and my wood and stone has gone from 99 constantly maxed out, too 2 parts of bugger all. At least when I collect from my mines and mills chasing other goodies, I won't see your full of stone and wood for a few days. When that occurs, I'll start making wells again. I may even start to smash a few of my horded rocks to free up some space. I just couldnt justify smashing anything if I'm not getting the goods. Cheers all.

You're very welcome! I was disappointed at first, too. I have enough wool to make all 5 but then I'll be back to square one on the last 2 cloth for the troll castle. I'm debating on collecting 3, not collecting the 4th and start the other 1 but then pay the 10 gems to skip the last 2 for the gazebo. It's cheaper than the 16 gems to skip the cloth for the troll castle. But I may just decide to wait until I have 40 wool again for the troll castle.

TIP for those that haven't crafted 10 giant seeds yet.... If you're at the stage that having piles of seeds is important (outside of the event), you may want to consider tending flowers to replace the 30 piles of seeds spent to craft giant seeds each time before you collect the giant seeds. Once you have all 10 giant seeds, it appears the flowers quit dropping seeds.

Well I do not understand. I need 50 neihgbors to give me the start. I have 45 who answered my request and still waiting to begin. I cannot sent the request again because I have to wait to ask again. I have a lot of active neighbors and I know that you only get 20 a day and I was 1 day to late (I think?)I am the only one who cannot start? I am waiting know for two days...and now I have to look when I finally can ask my neighbors for the last 5! This frustrating because I must work and I am away for two days...so that gives me not a lot of time to do it! But those 50 must be calculated in it? So everybody had to wait for two and a half day or am I missing something and have bad neighbors?

Dala12, everyone's had to wait the 2-3 days for neighbour responses due to their stupid 20 a day limit. It's simply a stalling mechanism, to encourage us to get impatient and spend gems. That said, I waited for two days, only had 26 responses (out of my 59 neighbours, most of whom are definitely active), then installed the couple of games and got gems to spend to finish it off and get going, and wasn't much worse off. At least I'm doing it now (except when it keeps crashing, but that's a whole 'nother topic :p.

Are you joshing with us, or really serious? There is still nine days to go and you've only got about 3-4 steps to go. I'm still on the gold hammer bit, step 4 I think, so that's about 8 steps more for me. I'm cool with that. Will have this knocked over well and truly in time. I'm even happy that my excess wood and stone have come in handy. One can only make so many blocks and beams (normal, fancy and royal) before getting bored. Cheers

Builders Hammer is the second one on the list in the Workshop.

I'm also only at the making golden hammers stage, but I don't see any reason for panic. There are no random drops in this quest. It is purely inventory management and getting the stuff on time, which is easier for higher level players.

You have to finish the first part of the quest (get 50 replays from neighbours) for the craft to show up in the magic forge.

Are the hammers made in the forge the same as the ones in the workshop? The "ingredients" are the same, but it takes 1 hr in the Forge vs 3 in the Workshop...

I don't think anyone ever answered me (pretty sure I read entire thread, but man do these CS threads get long!) Doesn't matter, it appears they are the same. I was able to get a head-start crafting the hammers since I still had the Builder's Caravan Goal open. It calls for 10 Builder's hammers (Workshop, 3hrs, same materials.) With this update, the hammers suddenly appeared in my Magic Forge as well, w/1-hour craft time instead. I didn't have any of the 3-hour hammers in inventory to put towards this gazebo quest. But I made a couple extra 1-hr. ones in my Forge. Applied them to the caravan...no problem.

This probably doesn't apply to many people (mostly low-levels.) But it sure was nice getting all 7 hammers crafted & ready to go before the 2nd day was over (& artisans still out.) This is my first "event"--so much fun having everyone working on the same thing together! Thanks TL, and thanks to those who "gemmed thru" &/or posted helpful photos & info. Lovin' it!!!

I was collecting from my castle the roaming bandits quest to finish step 8 Ivy in the Countryside. I got the dialog for step 9 Surviving on Water and Love and started collecting from my flowers. I had collected from about 5 of them when another dialog popped up. At first I thought it was a new quest line but then I realized it was step 11 of the current quest Not so Smooth. I now have both of the lines in my list of goals and can work on both if them, even though I have finished step 9 yet or even be*** step 10.

I am attempting to attach a screen shot of my goal so you can see both steps are there. I hope it's attached, not sure if I did it correctly!

That was by design. When you hit "split", it split up the tasks.

No, bushes don't count. Flowers from the Valentine Edition don't count either.
