I only get 2 logs from an ash tree. Do you get more if you leave the tree longer before cutting it?

The ash tree needs 22h before cutting and it gives 2 logs. No matter you leave it 22h or 240h...

I usually get 1 log per cut and on rare occasions, 2 logs. Pretty rare and random.
