Large diamonds

I suspect large diamonds only drop when you have a goal that requires them.

Last week I had gotten 2 goals that required large diamonds, one I don't remember the name of, it required 1 large Diamond. The other is Like Diamonds in the Sky.

So, rather quickly after I got those two goals, my Deep mine dropped 1 large diamond. My first quest was fullfilled.

Ever since that, I didn't recieve any large diamonds, not from the deep mines, nor from any treasure troves.

Is the in-game switch set to "no more large diamonds" since I finished a quest and didn't trigger the switch "drop large diamonds" or do I need to be more patient?

If it is because the switch is in the wrong setting, I feel a bit sad about losing my treasure troves, but I'd really just like to advance and recieve the remaining large diamonds.

I know people who got diamonds from the troves when they didn't have the goal. I think I even got one after I finished the quests. With the mines I suspect they only drop when you have the goal and they might be rare drops.

I've had 1 diamond drop from a deep mine since the end of the dragons quest.

Yup, you're still able to get Large Diamond from the Deep Mines.
