No expand sign

Hi, I am wondering if there is a work around for this problem... I have unexplored land but no expand sign. I was using the expand sign from the floating land area but since I did my last expansion there that has now disappeared. Consequently I can ask for maps and I can't expand into my unexplored land . Click on the market tab and in the bottom left there should be an expand icon.
