Are we still supposed to complete True Love to Melt the Ice or Like Diamonds in the sky quests? Or are these part of the glitch that everyone is talking about?

If you have the egg, it's ok to go ahead and complete.
If you don't have the egg, don't complete, that's the glitch.

That is correct, if you have the egg in your storage and the quests to hatch, go ahead and complete that quest.

If you do not have the egg In storage hold off completing any quests to hatch.

I played these quests for dragon eggs as quickly as possible, but didn't get the egg drops from treasure troves, and cannot get anymore. Am I supposed to buy the dragons now? Are they needed? Please help! I do love this game!!

The dragons look cute but don't seem to be dropping anything majorly special. You don't need any of them to progress.
