Hmm, Super Rare Champion reward...i think it's good with Champions as reward, for newer players that hasn't got much of that. Mmm them stupid lottery losses against crazy weak opponents are indeed annoying to the max - i tend to react same way, which as you say does make battling extra expensive! I think i'll do like you said you might, enter it but drop out if i get stuck...might save the weekend even! :D

rd 1 night elf beat Acrobat with BmB but just barely
my Dark Angel is evolving into level 10 will be done in the next 90 minutes glad to have him for this tournament.
I have 3 champs now that are all epic, so I am glad for another Champ.
I barely made the circus event finished it last night, I have so many new dragons to evolve, still do not have the last two world event dragons evolved to epic yet, would love to try for some of the zodiac dragons they look so awesome, so many dragons, love all the new one's wish they would let us buy another evolving temple/chamber, my back log of dragons to evolve is crazy.

I just think there are too many of these stupid failed rounds for it to be good fun, no matter if the "illogic" actually is logic or not!

As for the ongoing tournament, i'm in it still lol, not upset yet...but probably jinxed it just there, hmm....:rolleyes:

For some reason with this, I originally had Acrobat but before I could fight it, the battle reverted back to the dragon I was fighting before the tournament started. So the tourney is there but the dragon for me on the first round is still the Treasure level 10 I was fighting before.

Can someone fix this? I've tried a hard refresh and even restarting my iPad but it's not working.

As for champs falling over against these 10% babies, i think its like an elephant coming across a mouse. You'd expect them to just come along a mouse and step on it, but as the old cartoons will show you, they're scared of mice and therefore can be defeated more often than you would like.

Trouble is, my lower level account is on the cusp - high enough that I get the "harder" percentages, but low enough that I have very few dragons. I would like a champion in that game. My main game? Psssspt .... Don't care.

I think it's a pity that good intentions, like actually trying to use tactics, so often crash and burn...like when to fight a low level Pansy dragon - it's green/pink, Rare.....so i think Ruby 10 would be a good choice instead of just sending in a Super Rare Champion, that'd be no class sort of, just power. Ruby has red and gemstone, strong colors against green/pink, it's also Rare so IF that matters it's not weaker ranked...and ofc my Ruby is lvl10. But, the reward i get for tactical thinking is getting my (or Ruby's to be exact) butt kicked! BAH! Oh well....next attempt: a Champion enters the arena!

Epic Paladine has won the first 2 rounds - and had to deal with the Daisy twice when the system decided to revert to round one again - I wouldn't mind that if it didn't make me wait the hour to find I was back at the beginning again, but no I go racing in eager to see my next opponent and there is the Daisy and the Round 1 heading. Hope I kept the hibiscus blossom not sure what my total was I know I have made snails progress cos in rural area for long weekend (New Zealand) and just back at work having taken the Tuesday off as well. I love the tournaments and keep hoping to win a Champ - have two now so plenty of motivation tho the $2 million coin cost to clear a bush makes for slow progress in getting new habitats. Saving up the $2.55 million I need for the expansion from mining at the moment, have all the pieces but coin collecting is slow work

You can have battles starting at level 30, but you need to be on level 32 before you will get the tournaments.

If you have enough time to play a lot and gold to buy your way through this Tournament, I would do so if I were you. Don't speed, use ultimate. In my first Champion-Tournament, I think I used ultimate perhaps 7 or 8 times.

Getting that first Champion is very hard, and having one greatly improves your changes for the next tournament. At this moment I have 5 epic Champions and 1 epic Diamond-hybrid, and I usually need to ultimate only 1, sometimes 2 in 30 rounds.

Don't start spending gold unless you're sure you can make it through to the end! Good luck!

I think it's a pity that good intentions, like actually trying to use tactics, so often crash and burn...like when to fight a low level Pansy dragon - it's green/pink, Rare.....so i think Ruby 10 would be a good choice instead of just sending in a Super Rare Champion, that'd be no class sort of, just power. Ruby has red and gemstone, strong colors against green/pink, it's also Rare so IF that matters it's not weaker ranked...and ofc my Ruby is lvl10. But, the reward i get for tactical thinking is getting my (or Ruby's to be exact) butt kicked! BAH! Oh well....next attempt: a Champion enters the arena!

Edit: and indeed, Black Knight went in an created some Mashed Pansy.

When I first was eligible for the tourneys my selection for different dragons was not as extensive and now I have a champion(Emerald Knight.) This has greatly helped my chances in the arena. When I first started fighting in the arena, I didn't know to come to the forum so I was just picking dragons at random. The last tourney I didn't use a single Ultimate and I don't plan on using any in this tournament. Anyways thanks to everyone who posts their outcomes and good luck to everyone! It's enough stressful when getting stuck on a round losing over and over again, so i'm taking it real nice and slow myself, actually finding it quite nice battling this way, and saving the stress for when things go bad - not even halfway yet, and i like it! Ofc having a job to do does help keeping me away from arena too.... :) And if i'm chilling out too much and miss out on getting a 12th Champion then so be it!

Dragon battle report, first ten rounds...

My airhead quartz dragon now thinks she can win any battle lol. She beat acrobat, daisy, wisp, underworld and equinox. Almost sent her in for avatar also, and got such a look when I chose lotus instead.

Lotus won with a single magic against avatar though. Lightning turned off the light on red lantern, cosmic blasted Gemini, and ruby wilted pansy - luckily a real pansy this time. Ice cream threatened to melt and ruin dapper's outfit, which earned him a win through intimidation by the third hit. Not sure that was sportsmanlike conduct lol. And that's how things are going on my island. :)

This is my first tournament, and I'm kinda scared!! I don't really have any super rares except clockwork.
I did beat acrobat with my level 10 firestorm though :)

There's always a chance for even a level 1 common dragon to win! And there's 5gold as reward on a few rounds, so even if you don't finish, you can still walk away with 5-10 gold. Good luck!

Quartz is lots of fun in arena - I hope yours wins as much as mine! I had to breed mine since I rarely ever get any pinks, and I was happy it was an easy one for me to get. I've actually been surprised quartz does pretty good even against the removed yellow greens, I wasn't expecting it to be such a good fighter.
