What does Lady Greselda's fountain do?

I've got 24 hours to decide whether to buy it. Can anyone tell me whether it is just a decoration or if it drops something, what it drops? Thanks!

It's just a decoration. The only reason to buy it as part of the quest is if you were planning on buying it anyway (as the reward is 10 gems)
