posting question?

I am new to the game. As I visit other restaurants, I see boxes instead of letters on peoples walls. Why? Sorry for dumb question, but curious.

I suspect that what you are seeing are emoticons or special emoticons called "emoji" that some people can post with their phones. Some devices can't "read" those, so it just shows up as a blank spot or square. Sort of like when you go to a webpage and get a red x for a picture. Hope that helps! :)

One program is used by iphone and ipad users. If you do not have an iphone or ipad you will only see boxes and not the pictures.
