Rotating items

I would like to rotate stone walls, however the option doesn't come up only cancel and place are highlighted. Do I need a certain amount of space to do this and this is why the option doesn't come up?

The walls don't rotate. Place one next to another and they join sides.

There is no rotate button for walls. If it's still going in a straight line you're just putting the wall next to the existing wall in the same line. You have to put the wall in the place it would be if it was all ready rotated.
