One ticket per hour for breeding.
Have sent my Fire dragon on a Quest so I guess I'll know for sure in 3 1/2 hours but it's usually 4 tickets for a 4 hr Quest.

I have 6 farms so after I pick up the 20 hour food I planted previous day I get 120. Last time it was 120 eggs a day from harvesting the food, so I agree it's one item (ticket in this case) per hour.

And I think for breeding it was one egg per hour..

Air will give you two tickets. I usually buy Air egg to put in extra nest throughout the day. That way my extra nest is only tied up for 2 hours at a time. I buy Water to put on the nest at night while I'm dreaming about the new dragons I'm going to get. :)

Also did a little speed breeding for Pansy, got it with Unicorn/Quetzal. Only a few fails: 3 Wild, 1 Laserlight, 2 Live, and those were mostly from Flower/Diamond or Flower/Unicorn.
Won first round of tourney with Valkyrie. One bash. 2 tickets!
Had all 7 nests making Diamonddates, 35 tickets.
I'm excited about another world event, and really happy there are no clowns involved!! :)
I really wish the habitat held all four, but I'm happy we get one this time. Once again, we can do this, don't let anyone convince you otherwise!!

Great start! I managed to get 64 tickets so far. Most tickets came from my farms that were ready for harvesting when the icon appeared. Have won 4 battles so far and hatched Avatar.

A lot of users will use their second nest to hatch Water dragons during the World Events to collect the parts needed (in this case "tickets"). The hatched dragon is sold right out of the nest and the process is repeated.

The advantage of the Water dragon is that it's a 12-hour incubation. You could use the Air dragon but it has a 2-hour incubation - so you'll be constantly having to stay on top of the timing to maximize the number of tickets you collect. The 12-hour incubation for the Water dragon makes it more of "set it and forget it" strategy - you can maximize ticket collection and only have to check your game twice a day.

You could also use the Light dragon - it has a 9-hour incubation but it costs substantially more than a Water dragon - you would burn through a lot of coins using the Light dragon for a hatch and sell strategy.

I let the incubation time of the bred dragon in my nest determine what dragon egg I buy. 12 hour water, 9 hour light or 2 hour air. That way I can maximize my nests AND continue to breed......

Yep :) not too long tho... Just over a week ago they gave us all a 7th farm. So... 140x14 1960 from farming 8x14 112 from questing 12-24x14 168-336 from eggs.. Leaves us with 2240-2408 by the end. Our last single person dragon is 2300! So... The bare minimum to get this guy we need 164 a day...

Yeah, I read (somewhere) that you can have up to four!
Now if it only dropped other thinks, like an amulet that guarantees a super rare or better for 1 Breeding!
If it dropped food or gold OR anything interesting besides the 4 tickets, I would probably buy one. But I think it's doable without it, and would rather spend gold on other things, like ULT in tourney if needed! ;)

What a great idea, I hadn't looked at it quite like that, but the extra 4 will help the community in the end!
Since I like to Speed-Breed, I finished the personal goals pretty early last time, but kept going until the end with quests, hatching, battling and feeding. This is just another fairly inexpensive way to contribute to the communal pot, and even if it never works again, it will be decor for this event display. I bought one, and put it with my Balloons! Should get first Dragon in a few hours, when my scaleypears are ready!! Woo hoo!

As a veteran player I usually follow these tips:
-Plant the 20hr crop on each of your Farms=120 Tickets every 20 hours for 6 Farms
-If you have more than 1 Egg Nest buy a Water Dragon Egg for any empty Nest since you gain tickets for each Dragon hatched
-Consistently perform the Ticket Quest in the Quest Outpost
-Engage in the Battle Arena if you're level 30+ & possess the appropriate dragons

If you already uninstalled the game, have the 1.9.3 version, and still don't have the Dragon Circus Event, you have to email TL about your problem - support@teamlava.com

Yes you should get the habitat. At the time you had 72 tickets it was 28 hours into the event. If you get 72 per day, you are on target to get 1000 tickets.

Just always make sure you are doing something all the time to get tickets. If you can play hourly, you can get 24 tickets per day per farm. I plant every hour (use an alarm) for 16 hours during the day and 8hr food (or 5hr) overnight.

I don't recommend planting 20hr food unless you have difficulty in playing regularly because 2 weeks is a long time to go without feeding dragons properly and slows down evolutions. Just plant the food which suits your schedule - all food gives one ticket per hour.


Always make sure you have an egg on the nest. If you hatch an egg and the den is not ready, then buy air or water dragons depending on how much time you have to wait for the den to be ready.

And dont forget the quest. Use an alarm to make sure you do it every 4 hours, if you have the time to play.

Yeah, I noticed that earlier. It looks like it gives a small discount if you purchase with gold, vs using gold to speed things up. It's a nice option. ;)

I bought the ticket booth, not just for me but for the entire world ;) to add 4 tickets to the mix every four hours. I'm also hoping it will work for future events. With this and the special quest that is a guaranteed 8 tickets every 4 hours. Right now I have 278 tickets.

Hey Annie :) no, I shoved my lovely infinity into storage to house the circus dragons :( it's joined fruitful (which made way for pansy) and genie (which made way for underworld) til TL are nice and increase habitats again. As much as I don't love fruitful as much as say my angel or celestial, he still deserves to be shown off!

Speaking of arctic, I have them all and was wondering if TL will do anything with the mine over there, or release new arctic dragons?

I might have to do something similar. I just hate to pay 1200 gold for the stable upgrade. I really would like to have my Circus event Dragons on display, though. I'm really bummed about not being able to purchase thru the album anymore, too. If I put one of my Diamonds away, then I can't purchase or breed the new Black Diamond that just appeared in market! I'm just going to keep posting on the habitat thread until someone listens, I guess.

Agree, it is hard to get excited about new dragons when you are getting so many, so quickly but can't feed and evolve them.

Yes, i agree. If they add any new feature in to the mix, i fear that I simply won't be able to focus my attention on everything without a bit of help. I get their strategy and it's ingenious. Simply give us too much that we simply can't achieve it all without a bit of gold assist. that's even if you have gold giving dragons, dragons quest gold and faithful gold returning neighbours.

I love these Workd Events and do get rather excited. They seem to come around with almost perfect timing for me. I was just requesting another one here last week. Some of my Easter Dragons I have already traded. I don't feel any desire to have every dragon.

I am sorry but I can't find the thread about android differences in the game. I like to play TL games in free time. But Dragon Story is just too discouraging. The IOS players have world events, special sales of rare dragons, even diamond. They have mining, the Artic Island and battles, quests. Droid players have none of this that adds to the fun of the game. We feel so left out. I dont want to say anything inappropriate but I dont think I will play Dragon Story any more. The other games are great on android just not this one.

I was speed breeding for either the Dark Angel or Black Diamond. Did manage to get Angel and a lot of fails with black gems that I'm saving to evolve to level 4 when the new mining dragon is announced. Then trade them in. I'm very close to being able to craft Jade.

I've been collecting every 4 hours on the ticket booth and quest and every 5 hours for crops (I only plant 5 hour crops). I've slowed down on breeding but have 3 eggs sitting in my nests, Angel 44 tickets, Night, 23 tickets, and my newest fail Justice (a keeper because I don't have that one) 25 tickets.


It doesn't matter if you only contribute 2 tickets a day because every ticket is important. I won't quit and I won't let the party poopers get me down! :D

Yeah, I'm getting the impression that there isn't as much growth in the community tally numbers. Maybe the final prize just isn't attractive enough. I'm actually a bit surprised at the dragons for this event. They're not exactly how I'd imagine Circus. I know Clown's already been released (& is no longer obtainable. why not bring him back for this event?). There's no lion tamer, ring leader, knife thrower, cannon firing dragons.

I don't think it will be for all events because if you notice the items earned have different names depending on the event. Eggs for Easter, golden coins for pyramid and tickets for circus. I would need more information like when and how many drops per day.

Hmm, I could write an essay on this. Economies showing weakness, unemployment ticking up in some regions, potential instability\war in other regions. Could be a lot of people tightening their belts. Gaming might be one place to cut costs as it's an unnecessary spend. Time could be a factor too if people are working harder.

I also don't see these dragons as must have. I wouldn't say they're that cool. The fact that they're normal colours (not a new type) makes them less useful in Battle Arena. We also don't have a special type habitat that we need to fill. The circus one only holds 3 so we'd have to put one of these new dragons somewhere else.

This feature is not on Android so we're losing participants. I'm surprised TL haven't improved their Android support by now. It's almost crazy the growing market they're turning their back on.

I for one will not give up. I will try my best to earn as many tickets as possible. i am guaranteed to contribute 74 tickets per day with little effort just from the quest, ticket booth, and harvesting crops. But I am not surprised that people are losing interest in these events. They are happening too frequently and they lose their "specialness" particularly when you look at the sheer volume of dragons which are becoming available.

I have not been able to feed up my Egypt and Easter dragons and now we have more. This time they have given us a habitat (which they didn't do for Easter) but it only holds 3 of the dragons, which doesn't make sense at all. :confused::confused:

The Egypt event was the best one because you got a new dragon type and a new habitat which held all the dragons for that event.

Ditto. I had a long-ish post about this in the Habitat count thread. Long time players all have pretty much the same island covered in habitats with most of the same dragons, cos we can't really store much. Compare this to restaurant story or fashion story where we can store everything. Everyone there has their own special shop and it's fun to visit neighbours and see how they've redecorated.

I love these events, it's the only way I get new dragons. I have no luck breeding, 99% of the dragons I get are common ones that I already have. I even bought the Diamond temple to increase my chances, positive thinking, I got an air, firestorm, and night dragon, no Diamond hybrids so I probably won't do that again.
Though, I would love the habitat to hold all 4 dragons.

They're probably going at normal speed right now and hoping that the rest of the community feel they need to contribute more to make the target. Then at the very end they might choose or not choose to go ramming speed to just make that target. I think we well overshot the target for the Easter event.

I'm sure it's been said before, but part of the problem could be that hardcore players are leaving eggs on nests because they've run out of all options for placing dragons in habitats.

I disagree about these events being too close together. When the Egypt event came out, I started a DS game on my iPhone hoping to contribute to the community totals. I've stuck with it, and playing my "baby" game is like playing a whole different game than my 253 dragon hardcore game. I could - and probably should - write a treatise on the differences in strategy and how they are rewarding in different ways. My hardcore game is mostly about battling, mining, feeding and frustrating breeding fails. My baby game is all about breeding; the only real players I have for battling are ones I earned in special events. Which is a long-winded way of saying that the events are a great way to encourage beginning/intermediate players.

I'm guessing that the event associated habitats only hold 3 dragons because everyone would truly go bananas if they held 4 and the community failed to get the 4th dragon. I DON'T APPROVE, but at least it's an explanation.

Off to the habitat thread to fuss some more...

I agree : circus event is too close to easter event. A simple summoning would be enough , to let people have some rest.
New dragons (porcelaine, black diamond,...), tourney and world event is a little but too much :D

It doesn't matter. You get one ticket per crop hour. If you grow a one hour crop you get 1 ticket. If you grow a five hour crop you get 5 tickets. If you grow a twenty hour crop you get twenty tickets. I personally only grow 5 hour crops.

It may make a difference on the very last day when it gets down to a few hours and you would at least get a few extra tickets in at the end growing hour crops.

I started my baby acct after the first world event to help with the community total. I have the 7 farms, and been planting 20 hour and 8 hour plants since it started. Battle area is hit and miss. But I did get the ticket booth with gold from playing other games, and do the quest every 4 hrs.

It's whatever works best for your situation. 10 minute crops can get quite expensive.

So I pretty much stick with 1, 5 and 8 hrs, depending on whether I will be able to harvest and replant. I set my ipad timer too so I know when it's time to harvest.
And then in the evenings when I'm watching TV or mornings when I am visiting my neighbours I grow 3 minute crops. Which are the most efficient. 20 apples in 3 minutes compared to 50 apples in an hour.
I do find that the 3 minute crops don't give tickets/items consistently. Or if they do it's based on an algorhythm I don't understand. But they do give tickets.

I think we should be able to complete all three of the community prizes. I mean we are just over the half-way point (time wise) and we are already over the halfway point and actually almost 2/3rds of the way (~.654) for the second comm prize (72 mil is the half point even though the "progress" counter isn't showing it) and we still have 6 + days to reach #3. So every just keep spirits high, keep filling your empty nests with inexpensive water dragons (or air if you are going to check every 2 hours rather than every 12) keep going on the ticket mission and keep emptying your nests so you have the coinage for the eggs/missions.

I just experimented and if I counted correctly I only had to collect the 3 min. crop five times and I got one ticket. It may have been six times but no more than that. Editing to add I think I may have planted some 3 min crops previously so I only needed to collect 5 or 6 more to make it an even hour.

I'm thinking now that you collect a total of 20 times from the 3 min. crops and you get one ticket. That would be equivalent to an hour crop growing time.

Eh, that's what I expected too but it's not how it's been working for me. It's possible, I suppose that each farm counts up its own 20 - 3 minute farm cycles and delivers a ticket. Based on its own cycle, rather than in a group of 7. Because I have moved my farms around a number of times so they won't be in order.
I'm usually doing other stuff, like mining or visiting in between harvesting so I haven't really tried to see if a specific farm delivers on the 20th cycle or not. Some rounds I get maybe 3 tickets, some rounds 1, lots of rounds none.

I'm at 3725, but 2 of my nests are now occupied by Porcelain and Summer, and will stay occupied until we get a habitat increase. (I got Porcelain with Angel/Cherry Blossom).
There is a new thread for more habitats, I encourage anyone with a habitat shortage to post there. I can't place my Circus habitat, so I can't hatch those eggs either...I am usually speed breeding until the end of these events, bringing in as many tickets as possible, but won't be able to with full nests.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had to slow down due to lack of space.

As for the world event it's going slowly but surely, TL flooding game with new dragons constantly, and there's a barrage of new events always, so not stressing over this particular one much....and that's how DS is most enjoyable, when chilling out a bit. :cool:

I kinda like the idea of getting 3 new dragons for free but I think our community numbers may have been hurt by a late start for many and the long holiday weekend in US. Also, TL is expecting us to put in larger totals for the tickets this time around and well we may not make the last dragon but I plan on getting the other 3 on both of my accounts. I am over 1800 on both and not really doing anything special. Just keeping the nests full and harvesting food 24 / 7 and sending the Fire dragon out for tickets every 4 hours. That's about it.

When my iPhone died prematurely I switched to android. The only thing I don't like about the phone is not playing dragon story on it anymore because it is worthless. (Breed then sell or keep) If you visit you still see my battle arena,quest outpost,healing pool,spell shop,trading portal and arctic airship but unfortunately I can't use them anymore. If you start android you would not see them.What is really sad is my diamond dragon is on that account. I still play on my iPad and have about 1700 tickets to add to our cause but I used to be able to add twice that amount.
