Me too. My losses are ok, every now and then it takes a tagteam to beat a dragon but the second one is always winning at the moment. Hope it stays now I am at the last brutal 11 dragons... :D

Don't be upset, it's just a lottery, and next time you might be the one getting a lucky quick win instead! I'm stuck on same round and considering the poor odds of winning i guess i should've Ultimated earlier but i can't take it too seriously, it's always same same, so i'll just keep on sending in dragons and see if i still can make it in time! Remember - if you miss out on a dragon this week there will still be a handful other new dragons available next week! Don't worry, be happy! :)

I have no intention to spend another weekend with TL ans DS. They are no longer my favourites :(,
For 2 weeks I was trying for Hunter/Troll with Quetzal/Night and got 12 Islands, 5 Corals, 4 Serpent and 1 Mistmoth.
This breeding pair was supposed to have 18 offsprings.
There is definitely a problem with TL developing team, they are simply not capable of programming this game any way better :(.
The breeding pair does have 18 offsprings, but not all of them are weighted evenly--Common is easier to get than Ultra Rare, thus the titles--and I assure you the programming was done this way intentionally in order to encourage the players to spend money. Each time you breed is an independent trial. Breeding doesn't have 'memory'. Sorry you're not getting the dragons you want, but know that you are not alone, and just try to have fun with the game.

But it's a 5-gold level, so it kinda makes sense, no?

I would suggest rehealing your best champ and keep trying with that. In the meantime don't use your good dragons otherwise you will just end up with too many in line for the spa and it will slow you down in later rounds.

Instead either use babies or dragons you don't need for later rounds. They can always be healed after the tournament is over.

Finally beat Pansy with a level 3 Emerald Knight. Sheesh. I really wish they'd change the mining dragon so I can start evolving dragons again.

Don't stop evolving dragons. Just blow up a few bombs before you move the dragon out of the evolution temple. I do this to try for additional food. I don't care if I will have left over items in storage.

Don't stop evolving dragons. Just blow up a few bombs before you move the dragon out of the evolution temple. I do this to try for additional food. I don't care if I will have left over items in storage.

Good job on your tournament so far.

I already have extra amber, bluebells, ingots and various other **** in my storage. I could blow up the bombs for the food but I still would rather they just give us a new mining dragon. Plus I can get dynamite and pieces for expansion so I can always get food that way.

Jesus, you'd think a dragon named Pansy would be a pushover but no. I don't have any black/red hybrids and don't have ruby. My champs haven't worked. So far no luck with super rare red hybrids. It's a friggin' pansy. Shouldn't be this hard. LOL

The ladies really shined in the this tournament. Goodwitch 9 gets the gold star. She won 3 rounds. I love her. :D

I've been going non-stop every hour throughout the day. The last two battles I did speed up a few of the rounds.
I was hesitant to use my newest dragon Lacewing as it took me many months to breed her. But she came through and took out Celestial like a champ.
Most difficult battle was Anubis.
Needless to say the spa has and will be quite busy for a while.
Underworld egg is in the nest.

Congratulations to all who finished and continued good luck to those that are still battling it out. Don't give up. There is plenty of time left to win the tournament. :)

After struggling with Anubis myself I decided since it has purple element in its makeup I went with my Fairy dragon for it's green/yellow and it won the battle. Parakeet might have worked as well. I don't know if this is sound logic because I am still learning myself. Good Luck!

I got the Crusader after repeated fire/diamond non-stop for like an hour..same as Quetzal with diamond and forrest, but outside that I've tried 3 different limited combos to get another and NO luck.

Thanks, this gives me hope of getting Quetzal. I keep trying for Quetzal but haven't kept at it for more than 10 mins. at a time. Maybe this weekend I'll try again and just keep breeding and hatching until I get it or I lose my mind. LOL!

Still trying for a Diamond. I had to give up my Virtue+Goodwitch breeding because I got Bubble and Cherry Blossom and don't want to risk another 26 hour wait. After much comparing and checking, I decided on Night+Goodwitch due to no chance of Magic, Island, or Sunrise; an average Common breed time of 12 hours; and 8 fails I don't have, a few of which are black hybrids. Perhaps I will get my Diamond someday. It seems the recent tourneys are very hard on me without one. But I persist!

Emerald Knight is one of those where all/almost all dragons have a same (low) chance of winning. Level 9 & 10 Diamond, Passion, Infinity, and Pyramid have a little better chance, but it's mostly luck on this one. Try some baby fires and sell when they lose, while rehealing your good fighters.

Help! How am I going to beat Unicorn 14? Emerald Knight 8 lost so far... My only other "alternative" would be Lotus 7 (though I have Aether 9, Epic Scorpion Honeybee Storm Scarecrow). And whole bunch of common and rare, but not a single Diamond or hybrid, and no other Champ...

Diamond is your best chance and if you keep going with it, it will beat anubis. Reheal it and while you are waiting for it, use babies or other dragons you don't need for later rounds. Anubis is purple so green is good - therefore baby forests are a good choice or any other green for that matter that you don't need.

All champs are the same - all dragons have the same chance at beating them.

The worst strategy is to use all your good dragons, dragons that you need for later rounds but won't have time to reheal, when the odds are the same for all dragons.

Pick the best dragon that you want to try (Passion/Diamond/Champ/Metal) and keep rehealing it every 2 hours.

In the meantime, use anything you don't need to reheal for later like babies, single elements like fire/water/light or commons.


I won in my two accounts with Fruitful and Sunburst. It's random. I chose both those dragons because I didn't need them in the next 10 rounds while Passion was healing.

I spent a long time on unicorn. Tried lotus x6, black rose a couple times, big bad, passion, ninja, even level 3 amber. Finally I remembered back when the fairytale ones were removed I used to use Cheshire to beat unicorn. Tried it and arena glitched, had the health bars on my screen while seeing the outside of the arena lol. I dunno what happened in there, but when the inside of arena came up both dragons had health missing - they were fighting without me! Never saw that happen before, but Cheshire was winning lol. I got to at least click the last magic, won, then arena reset again and was ready for another battle. I was sooooo glad it wasn't unicorn again!! Quartz, newly epic yesterday, won against hibiscus.

I have no idea what happened, but I am glad the glitch was in my favor this time but funniest thing I've seen in a while, fightin' without me lol.

Fairytale did not work either. Air, Mindwolt, Magic, Pyramid, Scorpion, Trickster all knocked down. I am out of ideas...
And I do not have any Diamond or Champ dragons at all.

Hi all .. total Forum and tournament noob here :) Never posted before and never done a tournament before. Well done to all of you who have completed it and to all those still trying to .. I salute you !

I wonder if I could ask for a little help .. not nearly as far as many I am currently stuck on Cerberus - the only Ultra rare I have is a diamond at level 6 and I have no champions and not many epics .. I also dont have any white/pink hybrids and no white rose .. which is what most people have used to beat this one.
The 2 I tried so far are Fairytale (lost) and Lily(lost) .. any other thoughts ?

I wonder if I could ask for a little help .. not nearly as far as many I am currently stuck on Cerberus - the only Ultra rare I have is a diamond at level 6 and I have no champions and not many epics .. I also dont have any white/pink hybrids and no white rose .. which is what most people have used to beat this one.
The 2 I tried so far are Fairytale (lost) and Lily(lost) .. any other thoughts ?

I appreciate the suggestion. Water egg in nest now. I have since lost to Angel with level 8 Atlas, level 4 Marshmallow, level 6 Vampire, level 9 Goblin & epic Water.

It has been suggested I try epic Aether again. I have read people have won with Cleopatra, Athletic & Storm so I still have a few to try.

The calculator is just something put together by a player rather than TL supported. ;)

I finally beat Clown on the 16th battle. I had used Marshmallow 7 twice before and it lost. I fed it up to a level 9 and it did it for me. It will now be rewarded with time in the evolution temple :)

Celestial is purple/blue.

For purple use Green, Pink, Gold, Zodiac, Royal, Champion

For blue use Yellow, Purple, Rainbow, Gemstone, Champion, Metal



So try to choose a dragon which will attack both colours at the same time. For example use a Yellow/Green, a Pink/Purple, a Purple/Green, a Yellow/Pink......super rare if you have it, preferably a dragon which is expired, no longer available.

I'd love to know how they do it but I don't think that they are going to tell us ;) I suspect there is a "luck template" and it is preset which is why you see that some people never have to spend gold or have many losses and others have to spend gold and have multiple losses even as their inventories of dragons is expanding and getting better.

Lost with epic Aether, epic Atlantis, epic Emerald Knight, epic Landworm, epic Pyramid, epic Clown, epic Razorback, epic Rainbow, level 8 Atlas, level 6 Marshmallow, level 6 Vampire, level 9 Goblin, epic Water, level 9 Cleopatra & epic Athletic. I keep trying to find logic with tournaments & I am losing the battle.

This tournament, except for using Ninja in the second round, I used the helpful guide and tried to use only dragons that fit the particular battle. That's about the only "logic" that I use. Do I have a lot of losses, yes. But I don't care about that. This was my third full tournament. In the first tournament I entered I did use gold to win one round. The last two tournaments I won with without using gold to win a battle. I had fewer losses this tournament than the last. Is it because I'm using more "logic" to pick the dragons or just dumb luck? I don't know. What I do know is that I enjoy it and as long I do i will continue to participate.

In the last two tournaments I only used gold to speed up some rounds. That was my choice, it wasn't really necessary since we have 5 days to complete the tournament.

Congratulations to those who completed the tournament and continued good luck to those still in the fight. :)

TL, i am not happy with the last couple of tourneys. It seems you have made the opponents tougher. MUCH tougher. It is very tough after round 5 to advance with out gold. What a scam.......

What? Round 6 you fight a level 3 Lily dragon. You are saying that you can't beat him without spending gold? Don't forget there are many players in this game that are level 100-150 that have epic dragons galore. The tournaments need to be a challenge for them and for lower level players as well.

Don't forget but i am a level 124......... Please ask before assuming..... Mine round 6 was vs a pinata dragon lvl 6. I was on my third time vs that little LV 6 pinata of death dragon. I didn't know a paper dragon could be so tough..... Tried epic Mercury, Anubis, and water. All in defeat, finally I just gold brained that little booger!

TL does this on purpose. If your saying you dont use gold/ ultimate. You are awesome! Do you use gold googly?

I think it's all about luck and percentages. Each time you fight a dragon that you have a 15 percent change to beat, your odds to beat him the second or third or fourth or 20th time don't increase. Each time you fight, you have a 15 percent chance to win, and that's it. I know there will be people that will argue no, the more you fight the better your chances are, but it's not true. It reminds me of the roulette wheel in Vegas where they put all the numbers on the screen so that you can see which numbers the ball has recently landed on. It doesn't matter which number has recently come up. If the ball just landed on 23, it has the exact same chance to land on 23 again the next time the wheel spins.

You fight pinata in round 9! But I guess that's a 6, just upside down. Diamond dragons aren't the best against pinata, champions are better. I know it may seem like they do it on purpose, but if you lose 3 in a row, could just be bad luck too.

I try not to use gold of course. I think we all try not to. I do try to save my gold until the end though. Currently I'm fighting the unicorn dragon and I've fought him at least 12 times and yea it feels like the game is out to get me. Maybe it is.

Just want to say thank you for understanding independent trials. When I was a croupier, it seemed no one understood!! "Dice don't have memory," I'd say. :)
