Crate Picture in Market

I notice that some items in the market have a crate by them.... I thought that meant they are things you can build-- but the Alicorn also has a crate-- can someone please explain why?

The alicorn is craftable in the love shack. Unfortunately the love shack was only available for purchase during the 2012 valentine event.
